Huge Avocado Sandwich (about $16; this is only half). Skip the "tomato jam".
    Tracey A.

Ryan Scott 2 Go is a food truck operating in a vacant corner lot in a largely residential area of San Anselmo. They've outfitted the lot with chairs, tables, and toys, are open Friday through Sunday only and (on Fridays) they draw a sizable crowd from the nearby high school (despite the prices). At all times, if the weather is nice, Ryan Scott 2 Go is a real draw for the community; they've created a popular little hub of activity and created a destination in the most unlikely of locales. The menu is large, a bit up-market, and based on my order (an Avocado Sandwich shared by 2) the portions are more than ample. But all that said: I did not like the Avocado Sandwich. The person with whom I shared the sandwich felt the same and though she'd been here several times, she admitted that the food - described as "California-inspired cuisine bursting with local flavors" - was too rich for her palate. The Avocado Sandwich had too much going on and the inclusion of tomato jam was not at all welcome. That said, you can like this place for may other reasons: there's a lot more menu to sample, they feature plenty of coffee drinks (and products from Breakaway Matcha), and it's just a cool spot to know of given the unexpectedness of the place. After my experience with the Avocado Sandwich I'm not too keen on trying much more of the menu but would be totally up for a latte on a return visit.

Great food, large portions, fresh ingredients, and an awesome spot for families with kiddos. Totally worth the drive to San Anselmo.

If Willy Wonka had a food truck... Creative, inspiring and scrumptious food in a low key fun neighborhood vibe. Excellent service!

Not only is the space phenomenal, The food is off the charts. The customer service was stellar and my mom and I were lucky enough to have met the owner himself. I was so impressed and will be telling all my friends to go and treat themselves. My mom and I both got delicious drinks but my hibiscus tea was perfection. Love finding a new local spot, that I will be frequenting a ton! Do yourself a favor and stop by for some tasty food surrounded by a wonderful atmosphere!

The wait was worth every minute. Everything from the sweet person who took my order to the rest of the restaurant staff to the flavorful spectacular food made it such a wonderful experience. So many great choices on the menu. I'm going back for the pork biscuit sandwich next. Even the hibiscus iced tea was delicious & beautiful. A lot of love goes into what they create here. I can't wait to go back

We got to enjoy four dinners and a dim sum brunch from Ryan Scott at my good friend's wedding festivities. Everything I had was incredibly delicious- the freshest, most flavorful dishes I have ever had at a wedding. The creativity behind every meal was incredible, and I tried things I have never had before (like a smoked salmon pizza). Ryan was there everyday making sure that everything was perfect. All I can say is wow!

What a great surprise this morning to find the cutest pop up food truck on my way to The Good Earth in Fairfax. The chef de cuisine is the award winning celebrity chef Ryan Scott and all I can say is WOW!! I opted for the Mac n cheese spring rolls and the Quinoa and fresh Brentwood corn salad. Both selections came with perfectly matched dressings. Portions were ample and very reasonably priced for such deliciousness. This was a soft opening ,with a long line , but with Chef at the helm and an attentive cashier and Clover POS system, it went very quickly. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you chef and staff!! The food truck is at 1119 San Anselmo Ave San Anselmo

Chef Ryan was personally onsite to ensure a smooth service, and took the time to explain the dishes to our employees.

Excellent bakery café! Great food great service nice…read moreambience. I like the avocado toast. It's nice and thick with a lot of olive oil. Add a couple buttery, scrambled eggs and you are complete. Now to top it off, have yourself a lovely pastry. Oh yes, and I'm anxiously awaiting the new one to open on fourth Street in San Rafael - and you should be too!!!

Good lord. I'm going to try to find the right words...I told a friend on the phone, lets say that…read moreyou put an HVAC salesman in front of a stove with a recipe and asked him to make you breakfast...that's what it seemed like they did today. My "Soft Scramble" was a pile of astonishment. It was so unrefined that it was an insult the the ingredients. There was nothing soft about the eggs, they were overcooked. The only thing soft on the plate was the watery run-off from the vegetables they heaped into the eggs: Too many chewy mushrooms and HUGE. Too many cherry tomatoes. I had to dig to find the eggs. The leeks were strips of inedible ribbon. The toast? I think it had been toasted yesterday and left on the top of their oven overnight and then reused today. I had to get up from the table and ask for butter to make it edible and still I worried whether I was going to break a crown. The pickled vegetables? Again, HUGE, hard and barely pickled. I will refrain from criticizing the service because they are all unaware of the nightmare in which they are working. Bless their hearts. I was so sad and annoyed. People think they can buy a restaurant with recipes and wholesale accounts and staff and just run it, "business as usual" but they are wrong. I went in and asked if they had sold the restaurant and was told, "yes." I imagine some tech-bro's wife or some hedgefund community doodler wanted a pet project with zero idea about food or food quality or how to treat and retain employees because what happened to MHBB is astonishing. It's rude and insulting to anyone who opened this restaurant and put in their best to keep the name and claim to be catering to the same people. But then again, this is par for the course or, from my vantage point, everything wrong with what's happened in Marin in a nutshell. Faux authenticity. Zero care. This is now all about the money. I will never bother with it again.

My boyfriend and I were debating where to get coffee (we're usually Endless Quest people), but…read moresince I've been yelping more, I've been trying to branch out. This spot popped up pretty high, and funnily enough, my boyfriend--who doesn't live locally--had actually heard of it from a previous visit, so we decided to go for it. Right off the bat: huge win on logistics. There's a nearby parking garage with ample space, and parking is free on Sundays and holidays, which already put us in a good mood. The place was packed when we went (Sunday), but in the best way. It's honestly adorable--there's a small playground, multiple seating areas, and everything feels very thoughtfully put together. I don't usually gush over ambiance, but the furniture, layout, and overall warmth of the space really stood out. Cozy without being cramped, lively without being chaotic. There were three people working, one of them quite young, and while we didn't order food, I did get a matcha--and wow. It took a while to come out, but when I saw how they were preparing it, it all made sense. Unlike most high-volume spots that rush matcha, they actually take their time with the full process. The result? Easily top 10 matchas I've ever had. Fresh, clean, energizing in a way that felt genuinely good for my body--not jittery, just right. They do have pastries and a couple of food options, though the savory options didn't really tempt me personally. That said, I'd 100% come back just for the drinks and the space alone. There's just enough white noise to sit and work comfortably, and the ambiance makes you want to stay awhile. This is officially going into my coffee + work rotation.
