Stopped by to get some beef larb and papaya salad 2 star because i can't really do super spicy. The 2 star taste like 5 star to me. I've been to other lao or thai restaurant and every time i order papaya salad i ask for 2 stars. The other dish i can do 4 or 5. I end up not eating it throwing it away because it's way too spicy for a 2 star. I love the beef larb tho it's really good. read more

I had the Lao sausage (spicy) with white rice and it was AMAZING! Grilled to order with a super fresh, authentic lemongrass taste. I grew up eating these in Thailand and it is by far one of the best place I've had taste wise in Washington. Will most definitely try other items. read more

I'll just start by saying if you don't have time to wait it's not the spot for you. We came here for lunch during an hour lunch break and it took over an hour for the food to come out. We ordered carry out and noticed that all the dishes come in a carry out container whether you dine in or not, which I like in my opinion. We ordered the nam tok, larb with raw beef, papaya salad, Lao khao soi, sticky rice and Thai iced tea. I was really looking forward to the food as we have been in search for a good Laotian place. The food itself was really good, I didn't care for the Lao khao soi but it might be because I ate it an hour after getting the food. Everything else was pretty good but a little pricey. It seemed like there was only one person actually cooking and prepping the food when we came in so I took that into consideration but I still believe the wait was WAY too long for a place that advertises as "take-out". read more

The food here is absolutely delicious. I can only speak to the following items: larb, lemongrass chicken, beef jerky, ribs viet garlic wings, Cambodian wings, and Thai stir fry. I want to say that the was good, but I think I had more of the flavour profile from gor gai in mind. Not bad, but definitely on the jerky side. I have to say that I'm absolutely in love with the wings!! I could honestly just order wings and be quite happy with that. The garlic wings were better than the Cambodian wings, but nonetheless was still crispy, nicely salted, and packed quite the flavour. The lemongrass chicken was so delicious. Very tender, I could taste the lemongrass, which is great because sometimes those flavours are toned down for non foreign palates. The larb had the right level of heat, and the juxtaposition between mint and the fish sauce/aromatics and line were perfect! The that sir fry was also very good. Fresh, delicious, and contained veggies. The one item that my family was disappointed in (I didn't have any because I was too busy enjoying all of the other food), was the ribs. My son enjoyed them, but my husband and daughter thought they were ordinary and nothing to special. I think they might have thought they would be more grilled, and I don't think they enjoyed the bbq sauce on it as much. They said they probably wouldn't order it again (although my son said he would). I will defiantly try this place again, as it's convenient and also is quite tasty. As someone else mentioned, you'll have to order rice and items on their own (which can get pretty lofty after a bit). Otherwise, great work! We'll be back for sure! read more

This place is amazing! Mostly takeout now but with a small seating area. We had a great lunch here. The owner Kit is a very personable guy and turns out delicious food. The papaya salad is really good and pairs wonderfully with the Lao sausage and sticky rice. The Nam Khao is fantastic wrapped in lettuce leaf with cilantro. Be sure and ask for some Thai basil to include in the wrap. Kit has plans to expand the seating area and hopefully eventually get a beer and wine license. Go try some of this food. I just found this place a few days ago, so I have only been 1 time and only had 2 items. Item 1) The Baby back ribs. The pic showed a drier rib, that's why I ordered it. Dry they were not. If you like sticky saucy ribs, you will probably enjoy these. The flavor was good (a bit sweet for me), but the meat itself was cooked a little too long for my taste, very "Fall Off The Bone" (my wife would love them), I like a bit of life still in my ribs. Item 2) Thai basil stir fry with chicken. The flavor is great, slightly sweet, and served with a large bowl of white rice. This dish was almost entirely chicken, with just a sprinkle of vegetables. Personally, I'd rather have a little less meat, and a lot more veggies. This was a take out order, and I think the meat kept cooking the veggies on my 10 minute trip home. Im seeing that the above was never posted, so this part is about 6 months later. While the flavors are great, in general, the meats are way overcooked. I think the ribs and chicken wings are boiled first. I just got an order of wings and while the flavor is great, the skin was rubber ( not crispy at all) and I found it difficult to bite into or chew on the meat. I also ordered the Thai basil stir fry with chicken again. What I got was not what I ordered, they have another version (Thai stir fry) that has a different set of vegetables, including broccoli and apparently mostly jalapeños. They definatly cut way back on the meat they give you as opposed to the other times I have bought it. Ended up throwing about 1/4 of it away as it was all jalapeños. Another dish, Cambodian Beef Lok loc. Tastes great,....but like chewing on leather. My goodness, I love their flavors, but rubber food isn't going to keep me coming back. I hope they read these reviews and figure out how to correct their cooking errors. read more

Owner is superrr nice and the food is amazing. We liked all of the dishes we ordered. We got the cambodian beef skewers, wings, and lao jerky. I would recommend eating in with a small group since there isn't that much seating and it's technically takeout and pickup only, but owner seated us.
