Green Curry
Amanda L.

Really great lovely service. Our waitress was very nice and felt like she fit in with our group well. I got the green curry with chicken and it came with rice. Rice was dry but it doesn't matter when the curry is solid and a level one heat was pretty good for me. Huge portion as well. Needs more rice for the portion of the curry but that's okay.

Thai Lab Kai

Hubby ordered food from Sabai tonight from GrubHub. We tried the Thai Lab Kai for the first time and it was great. We had the Pineapple Fried Rice with shrimp and Pad Thai with chicken. Everything had great flavor even though we asked for no spice on the food. Highly recommend! If you're in the Stone Oak area, check them out.

We really wish we could like this as much as everyone else. We tried it again after staying away for a nearly a year, and it was better than last time but still just ok for us. Tried the drunken noodles with chicken and added shrimp, based on the recommendation of a coworker who said these are the best drunken noodles in SA. The portion was huge and it was served fresh and hot. Good, but they weren't the best in SA for me. DH had the pineapple fried rice. Again, good with a very large portion, but not the best he's had either. His favorite place serves it topped with toasted cashews for extra flavor and a bit of crunch, and this one had nothing like that. For a starter we had hot and crispy crab Rangoon. Service was good and everything arrived quickly, our server made sure our drinks were always full. It wasn't very crowded when we went, so there were plenty of clean tables to choose from. I think there were only two other occupied tables. Even though the servers were busy taking down the holiday decorations, they were attentive to their respective guests. Give them a try for yourself!

This restaurant was great! Everything, from the food to the service, was fantastic!! We ordered the chicken satay, which was extremely juicy and tender! The fried calamari was a tad soggy, but our main dishes were fantastic. I also ordered the alcoholic margarita/boba, which was surprisingly refreshing! The inside was very nice as well- clean, colorful, and relaxing. Parking is very manageable

Vegetable Stir Fry w/chicken, pork and beef

First time trying them out. When we walked in on a Friday night it was almost empty which made us question our decision, but I'm glad we stayed. We tried the chicken lettuce wraps for an appetizer. The chicken had a good flavor but adding the cucumber, onion and cilantro that was on the side was a game changer - much better with those! My wife had the Pad Sew Ew which was noodles, carrots onions pork and she subbed in zucchini for broccoli. She ordered 'level 3' on the heat. It was a very generous portion and the flavor was very good. I ordered Vegetable Stir Fry with the meat combo (chicken, pork and beef). The veggies were onions, broccoli, peppers, carrots, snow peas, baby corn (I left the mushrooms out) and I ordered it at a 'level 4'. It was also a very generous portion. The flavor was very good. I usually order heat at 4 or 5 - I like it flavorful and spicy. This was the first time ever that my eyes actually watered as I ate it. But it was so tasty I couldn't stop! I may go for a '3' next time - but we'll see. Our server was great - attentive without being bothersome. When we are in the area we will definitely come back!

Drunken Noodle

Service was quick and attentive on a Sunday evening. I ordered the Drunken Noodle and also tried the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. The portions are a very good size with enough to take home while the ingredients tasted fresh and excellent. The Drunken Noodle had great flavor with a mix of vegetables and an option of protein. They also provide three sauces to add for extra spiciness - dry flakes, oil, or chunky sauce. For noodles, they use the large rice noodles that are cut into small squares. Perfect texture and overall great experience.

Mango with Stickie Rice

The food was incredible! Portions were huge so you'll definitely have leftovers. Mango sticky rice was the perfect amount of fruity and not too sweet. The service was great.

Masaman curry

A small hole in the wall Thai restaurant in Stone Oak. The venue is beautiful but the main character here is the food. The Massaman curry is my favorite but I've tried other dishes. My boyfriend as well rotates between the mixed vegetables plate and the pad cashew. Everything we have tried here is full of flavor and cooked to your liking. You can choose between adding, chicken, beef, or both to most dishes and you choose your spice level as well. The service is generally great and I have had no issues. The food is a little pricey as they recently raised their prices, however is is a good amount of food you're getting in exchange.

Good service, so so thai food. Service was great. Our server was fantastic and certainly made sure we didn't need for anything. It was the first time we have been here, and it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't one of the better thai places we have eaten at. I thought the taste of my Panang Curry was okay, and it had plenty of chicken. The thai bbq pork was okay as well. I enjoyed that it was flavored well and not overdone. Noemi fully enjoyed her crab rangoons, but I thought the spring rolls were just the opposite... not much flavor. They have a full bar, but since we were with the kids, we didn't try anything new or hard. It wasn't full on a Thursday night, and we came well after dinner hours, so the place was not busy. It was quiet, well decorated, and clean. Plenty of parking outside that is shared with the other bars and eateries. Since we were close, it was fine, but I wouldn't drive out of the northeast of San Antonio to Stone Oak just to try Sabai Thai.

I had eaten Sabai Thai for take out before, today we actually dined in. Such a beautiful aesthetic and welcoming ambiance. Mia was our server and also the host. The food here is the best Thai food I've had in SATX since moving here and after trying several other restaurants. I ordered Tom Yum soup and pad see eww. My husband ordered the ribs which came with white rice, and my Mom ordered the chicken satay appetizer. We all shared and agree that this is the best Thai in SATX!! Overall wonderful experience and delicious food!! Definitely recommend and definitely coming back!!

I was a bit worried when we walked in and there was no one else there. I quickly realized what a gem we had found. The food here was so delicious and cooked perfectly!! Even a custom order was done flawlessly. The service was outstanding and everything was clean and well lit. We enjoyed the beverages as well.

Ingredients listed aren't in menu items. When I asked the owner, he said they're too expensive. Well take it off or redo menu.

It was a jungle style curry (no coconut milk) and was definitely one of the best jungle style curries I have had. It had a very interesting and complex flavor. It was a bit pricey and the waitresses forgot we asked for vegetables and not just tofu but it was really delicious. We also got the sticky rice with taro wrapped in banana leaf dessert: Sticky rice soaked in coconut milk and sugar with taro wrapped in banana leaves, then steamed. It was so really delicious. The restaurant is located right near the excellent McNay Art Museum- fun outing together. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out!
