When you enter Sabor Latino you are greeted with very warm, friendly people. I come here to have my favorite burrito with a good glass of wine. The barmaids and their patrons are all very friendly even though I don't speak Spanish but learning now. I do have a preference to where I sit which is at the bar. I speak with the bartenders while waiting for my dinner. It's always very fresh and so good. I'm a vegetarian so my meals have no meat but have ordered their shrimp and it too was very delicious. Hello ladies and it was nice to have met Armando. Will be back soon on Wednesday evening so save me my stool at the bar. read more

The cocktail of conchas negras was good however I paid $6 extra to add shrimp all I got was 3 shrimp and the portion was small a total of $22 for a small cocktail. Atmosphere is good and the staff is very friendly and polite just disappointed in the amount I paid for the small amount I got. read more

Great food, great people, great entertainment. I can't speak of all items on the menu as I only order their vegetable dishes or seafood but it's always been fresh and delicious. Yes forty They accommodated us with no problem the food came out fast considering the size of our party No mistakes on the orders , the staff were always attentive to out needs, always a glass full of water. I understand miscommunication when a restaurant is busy but given it's Friday and there's no one here, it's very ridiculous that not only we are made to feel unwelcome but our orders are also ignored by the waitstaff. So much so, she disregarded when I asked for two lunch meals and instead gave me a lunch portion of tacos and my companion a dinner serving of chicken??? It's 2:30, why would we want dinner now? She refused to correct it on the bill and instead hit us with a 20% automatic gratuity, that is not posted anywhere!! At least warn us before you rob us blind. First time in since they've expanded and we enjoyed the evening. I was very happy with the Pargo Rojo (Red Snapper) as the Chef's Recommendation which included a glass of white wine. If you're looking for a great laid back with very warm vibes atmosphere this is definitely the place. I came for a friend's birthday party and was surprised to find a DJ playing Salsa, Merengue, Samba, and Reggaeton and a dance floor filled with super fun people. The food is tasty and plentiful, unfortunately the service was slow and we were a party of 20 hungry and thirsty people. 15 of the 20 of us got food and the remaining got our food 25 minutes later, needless to say we weren't very happy. We always want to try and support new business's in Boynton Beach area. Tried Sabor Latino tonight. I ordered the paella and my husband had a dish with chicken and a mushroom sauce. Both dishes were hot and very good. The only things I would change is there should be silverware on the table and maybe some bread or plantains while waiting for the meal. This restaurant now occupies the old Bar Louie space. It's a big restaurant and needs some marketing to get more people to visit. This was the very first restaurant we tried since moving to Florida. My husband is a Texan, and I have dearly missed my Cuban food for the past 7 years. Unfortunately, we were broke from the move, so I couldn't order everything I wanted to try during the first visit. Walking in, it looks a little like a bar in a nondescript plaza. A gentleman outside was drinking what I am guessing was a frozen piña colada. Walking in in a Saturday night, we were addressed immediately. We were seated by whom I assume was the manager. He told us he did not speak English and that the waiter would be with us. It took a little effort for him to find the words in English, but it was very endearing. The young man who waited on us spoke perfect English. The cocktail list was very enticing, and I look forward to trying each item on it eventually. It was a bit short, featuring their Latin specials, but it looked like they had a full bar. My husband ordered a burrito. It looked good. He said the black beans were delicious (and he normally doesn't like black beans at all). To drink, I ordered water with lemon (got lime instead, but was glad for it). The water was good, which might sound strange to mention, but 7 yrs of gross Texas tap water makes it a small joy for me. I got the carne asada tacos. They came in a fresh, warm, soft corn tortilla. The meat had a couple very chewy bits, but otherwise was good. Nothing punchy to the flavor, just good and simple. I am forgetting the toppings nearly a week later, but it had enough variety and generous filling for me to enjoy it and look forward to more. The atmosphere was like a nicer casual. The service was excellent. It was nice without feeling stuffy. We were the only white people in the restaurant, which tells me we picked the right place for sure for Latin food, and we did not actually feel out of place at all. Before we left, there was a lot of activity at the small stage up front, and more people started to arrive. It looked like they would be having live music as advertised on the menu. Usually I like to try different restaurants of each type until I find my "one" of each. The only disappointment here was finding what will likely be my "one" Latin restaurant straight off the bat. Even the simple food we ordered this time was fresh and delicious. I can't wait to try their other dishes. There is an old joke that if you go into a busy Chinese restaurant, and you are the only Anglo in the place, it must be good Same goes for El Sabor Latino #2. I was a little skeptical when I arrived on a Saturday night at 8 p.m., and there were only two other tables eating. I had a coupon from a restaurant site so nothing ventured nothing gained. I ordered a chorrizo appetizer. I received a sausage on a plate with a 3 inch round equivalent of a Spanish flat biscuit. The chorrizo was good, and it was only $2.99, but totally lacked presentation. About 830 pm, the place started filling up with large families. All of a sudden an empty restaurant was 65% full. I ordered the fried pork chop dinner with white rice and pinto beans although I asked to substitute the pinto beans and was offered steamed broccoli and carrot mix. There were two pork chops, and they were thin, but extremely flavorful and tender. The white rice was also nicely seasoned and the steamed veggies looked like they were a picture in a magazine they were so fresh. Three slices of fried plantains were on the plate, but they were not drained properly and were a little greasy. This is a local place, with good food, inexpensive prices, basic diner type tables and booths with a full bar. Basic silverware and plates round out the description. My server did not speak English well, but she had assistance from the bartender who was fluent. Bar drinks looked really good and large, but I was driving and by myself so I take no chances. I always look at the important question. Would I go back to this restaurant? Bottom line is yes. If you're looking at this page, take advantage of the $10 for $20 deal. The extra 10 bucks will buy you a couple of Sangrias. read more

I'm being very generous by giving this place three stars! My son and I went there because of the good reviews online...those reviews are bought and paid for IMO. My Ropa Vieja was tasteless. My son described his Palomilla steak as "Army food" (he was in Navy) Tough as hell, not marinated and with no onions. I really can not understand how anyone can give this place five, or even four stars!...must not know Cuban food. The waitress was nice but the food took over fifteen minutes to arrive. It's a very low key, family restaurant, with great service, and an extensive menu which features foods from central to South America. After dinner and some drinks me and my lady were looking for something fun to do on a Friday night especially since we had a sitter lol... you know how that go! We decided to try Sabor Latino because we heard they have live Latin music on the weekends and there's no entrance fee. We had such a nice time. We were seated a little far away from the live entertainment but that is because we arrived at approximately 11 PM and the place was completely packed. They played salsa, bachata, reggaeton and more! Let me tell you... we danced the night away. They have amazing service. Our waiter was extremely attentive and was always available. They have lots of staff members here so you will never be waiting long Or trying to get someone's attention for service. The dance floor was crowded but in a good way. We had a couple of beers and some chips and salsa (which were delicious) and the prices were cheaper than you would expect for such a night club vibe. However, the owner working at the bar left the restaurant without saying nothing to anybody and I could not close my tab and pay the check for 15 minutes till somebody called his cellular. Our group of 16 returned to the newly renovated El Sabor Latino last night. They got their money's worth as the new dining room is much larger and a very nice atmosphere. Same as last time, we were lucky to get Grace as our main server. If you don't believe a great server makes your meal then go to El Sabor and get Grace to wait on you. The menu was still huge and varied enough that everyone could get a favorite item. I chose the LARGE fried whole Red Snapper with salad and Tostones and it was excellent. Also too big for a mere mortal so lunch today was El Sabor redux. My better half ordered the beef fajitas, which were great, and allowed her to join me for El Sabor lunch. Several folks had special requests and,not only were they gladly accommodated, there were suggestions to improve on the request. Several people ordered the HUGE margarita and said it was great. The evidence said they were right. Everyone was very happy with their entrees and all agree that the prices were extremely reasonable for that quality and quantity of food. Thinking El Sabor will be a more frequent stop on our every Friday night Rota. May have to check in on Karaoke or Salsa dancing nights. Thanks Grace!! read more
