We called ahead and asked if we could make reservations for the bar and were told it was first come, first serve. Fast forward to 9 pm... We walked in and went to the bar where there were two empty seats. No sooner had we sat down than a mgr walked over and said he was sorry, but those seats were reserved. I explained that we were told we couldn't reserve bar seats, and he said that's true, except when they're busy. It was the most absurd thing I've ever heard, and he actually made us get up and gave the seats to someone else. Probably my favorite table in town right now. Food, service and atmosphere are all first rate and the pricing is reasonable for what you get. I am normally suspect about a place that has a huge menu. Sachet had around 20 Mezze plates, 4 salads, a dozen apps, a dozen pastas and a dozen entrees!!! But the chef and kitchen are on their game. We ordered 12-15 things between the four of us to share and everything was executed remarkably well. We had 5 plates of Mezze and all were amazing. Standout was the yellow beets with red beet hummus. Also their kale and radicchio salad was the archetype for how a salad should be made: cold, crisp, not overdressed, and the perfect balance of sweet, savory, acid and umani (thanks to the pecorino). It was like a foodie's version of a Caesar salad. I am a huge fan of Arancini and Sachet's version was one of my favs. The balls were lighter and less dense than traditional versions I have had. Pastas (richotta gnocchi and puttenesca style spaghetti) were well done too, but not the highlight of the meal for me. All entrees where well portions and again executed very well. The braised pork shank was the star. If I was at home, I would have picked up the bone and eaten it clean. The earthiness of the farro and mushrooms glazed in pork drippings was gluttonous but soooo good. Dessert was solid, but didn't standout compared to the rest of the meal. Wine steward was great and suggested a wonderful Greek bottle of red that we enjoyed. They have a varied wine list with a lot of neat surprises for those that want something different. We will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu. read more

First off let me say that Siraham was wonderful!!! having an excellent server always enhances the dining experience. I truly appreciated how engaging and friendly he was as well as attentive to our needs and responsive to put questions. We had some issues with our wine selection and he was sure to assist us in finding the right match for our meal. I must say, this was one of the top dining experiences that I've ever had. We did a sampling of the meza, appetizers and brenzino was delicious. At the end we got desserts (one of each) and my favorite was the chocolate pudding and he almond berry pie. We came to Dallas for a girls trip and I'm so thankful we were able to have this experience and we will remember it for days to come. read more

Y'all, this place is PHENOMENAL. You have to make a reservation or get there at 5 to get a seat at the bar. Otherwise you are basically SOL bc the place got packed. Get a wine recommendation from the sommelier. He knows what he is doing and found us the perfect wine that 2 people with different tastes loved. Everything we ate tonight was so incredible. We started off with a mezze order including the olives, Brussel sprouts, celery root, spicy eggplant, and papaya. Everything was great but the last 3 dishes were outstanding. For apps we had the pita, falafel, and pizzeta. I can't recommend the dishes enough. They were outstanding. We finished off with a pasta dish with lamb ragu. Amazing flavor! For dessert they talked us into the Greek yogurt...just when I thought I couldn't have another bite. It was so worth it. Save room! Surprisingly enough, the bill wasn't crazy! I think we paid $69 for the food! That plus a bottle and an extra glass of wine, our total was around $115. Totally worth it. We will be back...several times! read more

We've enjoyed Sachet on one other occasion and it was awesome. So for my wife's birthday, we decided this would be perfect because the food, service and atmosphere really are special. Since my wife is gluten-free, many times deserts are a challenge so I went online to see what they offer and while there were wonderful choices... I had a plan in mind - and had to try. While it was NOT on the menu, I decided to call the manager and ask IF they could make panna cotta, her very most favorite desert. He said that he'd have to consult the chef to see... and told me that when he hung up, he'd talk to the chef and do his best... Well, the meal and wine were amazing and when it was time for desert, our waiter brought the desert menu and with a knowing 'wink'... we declined to order and in a few moments, he brought out the MOST amazing panna cotta with a candle - that was one of the most delicious we've had anywhere... not too sweet, with a delicious topping of citrus and cream that could not have been more perfect. Special occasions call for 'over-and-above' and tonight, Sachet delivered in spades. Kudos, well-done and we'll be back! read more

Many of the long reviews have some great info here, so I won't ramble as much as I usually do about the preparations. I have been twice now and love this place! The space and decor are fabulous--beautiful wine room w/contemporary racking. Drinks are very creative and yummy. The food. My favorites so far: 2 Meze--pistachio and marcona and the yellow and red beets w/labne. 3 Pastas--Cassarecce, short rib, and the rigatoni w/Swiss chard. Pork shank for 2 is fantastic. Save room for dessert--kudos to the pastry chef! The donuts are especially yummy and love the uniqueness of the lavender honey. Most of all, THANK YOU Sachet for not having the same old, tired, mass-produced 30 California wines on your menu. The wines at Sachet are indicative of the regional food, and this is the most eclectic list in town to my knowledge. They have wines from Lebanon, Greece, France, and Spain. Don't know anything about those regions? Ask! The sommelier is very down to earth and approachable. Plus, part of the fun of drinking wines is trying new things. Everything about the restaurant works together like a symphony of food, drinks, and atmosphere, and I really enjoy that feeling that the owners' hearts are in this 110%. Another winner! read more

Tends to get very busy/crowded. As a single person I was there around 6:30pm Friday. My wait was about 25 minutes for a seat at the bar. The food was excellent: I had the eggplant, a salad, and stuffed squid. All quite tasty. The portions are great for ordering a few items. The selection of wines is very broad the the servers are quite friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The place is noisy, so sitting at a large table may make conversation challenging. read more

Ate here last night and was very pleasantly surprised. When a restaurant has a pan-Mediterranean menu, it usually means "we're not especially good at anything, so we hope you'll enjoy our variety." But not here. We had three mezze that were excellent (pickled parsnips were most bland, but it was a perfect complement to the amazing lentils and the very good escalivada). Felafel was very good, and the charred octopus was awesome. The lobster spaghetti was basic (and I mean that in every way), and that was the one thing I wouldn't order again. It wasn't inedible, it was just very boring, and not worth being the most expensive pasta on the menu. The Iberico Secreto - my goodness, you haven't had pork until you've had this dish. So freaking good. You know a cut of meat is good when the different parts (end, middle, and end) all have different tastes and textures. This is a definite can't miss. We had the yo-yo (donut) dessert, which was fine. It comes with chocolate dipping sauce and lavender honey. I bet it'd be perfect if it just came with lavender chocolate. If I had one suggestion for the chef, that would be it. Service was great, ambience was great, etc., etc. We'd be happy to come back here. read more

After a decent experience a few months ago, we decided to try Sachet again. What an abysmal disappointment. Service was extremely poor. Not only was our waitress Jill extremely rude, she was also inattentive once our food had been served despite the fact that we had ordered multiple cocktails and were waiting on another one and a glass of water. In addition, the steak was overcooked and cold. We will not be coming back, and I suggest that others find somewhere else to dine. There are plenty of far superior restaurants in the area. read more

Love Sachet. Can't wait to go back. Food is very good. We had some tapas (spicy eggplant, a beet salad with hummus and something and a french lentil dish), the branzino fish entree and the short rib pasta dish. It was my birthday and they comped my dessert choice (a little cake with granola, huckleberries and thyme ice cream, yum!). I like the unusual pairings and creative dishes that you don't see everywhere. Decor is nice, and I always like an open kitchen. The service here is fantastic. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. It is in the Park Cities, but there is no attitude. Our server's name was Gerald. He was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Every person we had contact with at Sachet was warm and eager to serve us. This kind of reception is unusual and I very much appreciate it. Sachet is doing things right. read more

Sadly, Wednesday 18th July was a terrible night for what historically has been a good restaurant. Sachet is known for their assortment of innovative meze accompanied by pita bread. Meze are one third of the menu. Last night they were out of their signature Red Beet Hummus at 8:00pm. We ordered other meze and waited 30 minutes for them to arrive. When they arrived the waitress told us they were out of pita bread and we could just use regular bread. For those that patrons that enjoy meze, regular bread is too thick and filling to accompany meze. At 8:55pm I asked if our salads were on the way. At 9:00pm I told another waitress that we would skip the salads and just go directly to the entree. A few minutes later a waitress appeared with our salads. Halfway through our salads our waitress brought our entrees. She picked up our wine bottle for the first time that evening offering to pour us all some wine and saw that it was empty. She asked if we wanted another bottle and we told her not now, because by the time the wine arrived we would all be finished with our entree. She apologized and brought us an entree on the house for the four of us to share. (Another patron must have turned away their entree after the lengthy service delays.) If a manager had stopped by during the evening we would have shared our experience with the manager. read more

Delicious food but terrible service from the hostess/manager. Was asked to clear the table when we were winding down from the meal. During the dinner, they cleared off the table when one person still hadn't finished her food. We were told someone with a cane was waiting for our table.... And a group that had no member with a cane came to sit down. We noticed other tables that were seated around the same time were not asked to leave. Another great dinner at Sachet last evening. Great service, great food, great wine. What more can you ask for? My wife loves Malbec which Sachet does not have, at least by the glass. The sommelier recommended the Val Llach "Embruix" Priorat. Delicious. We started with the Vegetable Fritte. Sort of like tempura vegetables. Only much better. The came the Fattoush salad. Light, flavorful. Reminded me of spring (when it was freezing outside). We followed that with the Wood Oven Mushrooms. Flavorful. Filling. Perfect for a cold night. We moved to Spaccatelli Alla Norma. Also delicious. We closed with the caramel tart Perfection. Can't wait to return. read more

Go check it out!! Ambiance- modern cool with an inside/outside vibe by the bar. The bar is robust and the restaurant is chic but not uptight Food- Everything I had was unique and you could taste the high quality ingredients. Highlights were the chopped salad, branzino, lobster spaghetti, French lentils, Lebanese okra and fatoush. The portions are not large but perfect and fun to share the Mezes if you're looking for the lighter fare. Service- very friendly and fast. Definitely going to back to try more things. read more

First time back at Sachet since COVID. Appetizers Octopus, Fatteh, Wood oven mushrooms. The octopus wasn't as good as I remembered the charred octopus with beans they had before. The mushrooms were great but came with only three little toasts which was strange. Fatteh was excellent. Branzino was good, cacio e pepe was more oily than creamy. They seem to be struggling to get back to normal. They were understaffed and seemed frantic. We were told that "since it's a weekend you have to order all your courses at once". I miss the small plates they used to have but now the "small plates" are appetizers large enough for two. Plus they're still pestering customers about participating in COVID theater by wearing a useless mask from the front door to the table. We will probably try one more time if they actually get back to normal like most other restaurants. read more

When CASA rubia closed, I was heartbroken. It was my favorite tapas place. But hallelujah ! Here comes Sachet! The menu has a great variety to choose from which is great! The Mezes (small plates) comes mostly room temperature, very unique dishes. The grilled carrots, spicy roasted eggplant, Lebanese okra were my favorites . Don't let "octopus" scare you, if you have never tried octopus, this place has the BEST charred octopus! It's so soft & buttery you won't even believe it! Mikes Arancini is a fried risotto ball, very good too! Stuffed squid is excellent, so is the braised Texas wild boar ribs. I could come here just for mezes & appetizers & I'll be a happy camper. Reservations are very hard to come by now bcoz they just won the restaurant of the year award! So book now! You will have no regrets ! read more

We had dinner here this past Sunday night prior to attending a show. The food was interesting and varied, which made it a real playground, both in the choosing and the tasting. Wine by the glass was super fun with lots of different regions to choose from. It turned this from just "dinner out" into an entertainment experience upon which we built memories. The reasons this review is four stars and not five - the food itself was definitely innovative and creative, but heavy on the salt. VERY heavy on the salt. The service was good but a tad aloof. We hit up Sachet for lunch while in town shopping. Lovely little place. We sat at the bar, which was washed with sunlight and backed with large windows. Made for a great lunch atmosphere on a pretty day. The bartender was super friendly and helpful, answering all our questions regarding the menu, and making a few suggestions. We started with the yellow beets, Lebanese okra, and the eggplant. The yellow beets were both beautiful and delicious. We enjoyed the eggplant. We were slightly disappointed with the okra, as it just had very little flavor. We decided to order two entrees, sharing both! First, an order of the lobster spaghetti, which had perfectly al denta noodles and was not lacking in lobster meat. The roasted lamb sandwich came in a house made pita and was delicious. Sachet is the real deal, but if you've ever eaten at Gemma, their sister restaurant, you probably already knew that. A great physical space and aesthetic serves as a backdrop for tremendous food and a unique, exciting wine list. Even with a packed house on busy nights, the restaurant functioned smoothly and efficiently in the way only experienced restauranteurs can manage. The charred octopus is tremendous, any variety of the Mezze is a great way to start the meal and be a little adventurous, and the service has been strong to very strong both visits. The pastas are tasty and come in both early course and main entree sizes so you can mix and match to your heart's content. All I will say about the entrees thus far is that the Iberico Secreto is out of this world delicious - and unique. Try it. All six people (over the two visits) walked out happy and full, and the vino's in each party were quite impressed with the wine list (and the Somelier's assistance) including great choices from Israel, Turkey, and Greece, in addition to the more familiar locales. Definitely worth putting on your list of places to try around Dallas. read more

We tried Sachet's weekly family meal on Saturday and like their sister restaurant Gemma's family meal this is one of the best things going in Dallas takeout options. This week was a Spanish Inspired Feast and it was truly a Feast for 4 for only $85. The quality and creativity was top notch including the packaging. There were 4 courses with very ample serving sizes. The first was a tapas sampler and even though they failed to get the chorizo croquettes in our box, the patatas bravas, pan con tomato and spinach and garbanzos were a more than ample starter. That was followed by a white gazpacho that was very good but only if you like garlic. The paella was not a seafood paella but included 4 well seasoned chicken thighs as well as lots of chorizo and braised pork along with saffron rice. Dessert was an excellent flan with churro crumble. My husband and I had a great date night here. We had a reservation and were seated promptly and had great service throughout. We started with a couple of cocktails and then a couple of glasses of wine. Both the cocktails and the wine selection were great. Our meal was: - pistachio and marcana - great flavor, loved the two different nuts - pita - dukkah was interesting and pitas very fluffy - Kale and Riddachio - neither of us liked this, my husband thought it was too much radicchio, I thought it was too much anchovy. - charred octopus - probably the best octopus I have had, very tender and different flavors compliment well, especially the harissa - spicy goat rigatoni - does have a kick, not gamey at all, best goat I have had - compliments the spicy and the noodles well. -iberico secreto - star of the show, so unique, tender, sauces and potatoes also outstanding I liked the lavender cookie at the end as well, my husband doesn't really like floral. Overall, reminds me a lot of Gemma, but even better. I would definitely be back and give it a 4.5 if I could. read more

I ate here when the place first opened. It was buzzy and food 7/10. Tonight, on the plus side service was excellent. Food not so much. Barely warm and flavours felt a bit cobbled together. Amuse bouche terrible slimy okra. Ribs cold and lacking flavour. Main Chicken was reminiscent of what you get in those foil containers on a plane. I don't say that lightly and didn't finish mine even though I really like tagine. Pasta was better and fish was enjoyed though I didn't try it. Love their sister restaurant and Mediterranean/ Greek / Turkish food generally. Perhaps avoid the set menu nights. read more

Dinner tonight was excellent! We started with the brussels, broccolini, and lentils-All delightfully seasoned and perfectly sized for the 2 of us. Next course was the squash soup and falafel-so tasty. Main courses included gnocchi and tortiglioni- well balanced sauces and seasonings, not overwhelming. Desserts were the chocolate mosaic and the almond cake- both good portions of sweetness to end the meal. The atmosphere is European in nature with a large bar space-which is where we dined. We walked in about 7pm on a Friday night and had maybe a 20-25 minute wait for a bar seat. Table reservations were full until about 10pm but by the time we left, 9:30pm, there were plenty of bar spaces. Service was attentive. We will definitely be back! read more
