Liked the efficient service and hospitality of Sol and Manager Karla. We showed up with 11 or so ocean swimmers. Loved the daily special - pea soup and half sandwich. Asked Karla to chose what made sense from vegetarian options and her crew came up with an excellent avocado and veggies treat on super fresh and tasty bread. Also loved the pumpkin latte. Everyone seemed pleased with there meals, including tortilla soup and a south of the border veggie bowl. Thankfully only .7 miles from south end of bike path, where ocean swimmers congregate. Good place if you want to have a quite bite then walk to the beach or maybe doing a little shopping in the Riviera. Other than that, it is just an average place with average food. I was expecting big things given the location and reviews. I was disappointed when I ordered the Bigfoot Burrito, I was expecting big and tasty, what I received was small and bland. It was about the size of a frozen grocery store burrito with little flavorI don't think they used any seasoning at all - the green sauce didn't help. I really wanted this to be a great experience... it sadly was not. 1. Service was meh.. 2. We ordered 2 turkey club wraps (in a croissant). They forgot the bacon. They messed up the sides. See the picture... would not order again. 3. Ordered the sriracha chicken wrap... it was a glob of Mayo wrapped in a tortilla. So inedible we threw it away. In town for business and had time to relax this morning before heading to LAX for my flight. I jumped on Yelp for an early morning breakfast spot near the beach and this one popped out with 4.5 stars. Easy parking on the street this early and plenty of patio seating. The menu had many options and I selected the avocado toast with coffee. Great taste and the roasted corn made the dish. The pastries case was full of choices and I would have like to have tried, but trying to be healthier. I would easily recommend this for at least breakfast. The food here is good, but not anything much more than above average. What is not great are the prices/portions. I've had most of the sandwiches/wraps on the menu and, once again, good but prices several dollars more than they should be given what you receive. The service isn't great and the woman who runs the place lacks any modicum of warmth. Last time I called in take-out (a wrap) I was told it would take 10-15min. I showed up after 15 minutes and the order hadn't even been started. She acted like I had done something wrong and told me "Well you're just going to have to wait." No apology, no we'll have that right up for you, just a blank stare. Today a repairman came in and instead of greeting him to learn why he was there she just started in on him telling him that his services were no longer needed, that she had already told "them" that. The guy looked totally bewildered, apologized and left. Apparently they're looking for help, I can't imagine it is easy to work there after what I'be witnessed. Today I went in there for the last time. I paid over $14 for this yellowfin tuna salad. It is a side salad portion at best, and yellowfin at bluefin prices. $14 for a salad like this? Do better, it's a sandwich shop for Christ's sake. At these prices I'll just go to Yellow Vase, Gabbi James, or Turquoise where the service and the portions are better. read more

Cute place on the edge of Rivera Village. Went with a friend for a quick breakfast, and overall it was okay. I got the New Yorker on an everything bagel, but it didn't really have much of a flavor to it. Neither the bagel or the lox tasted like anything, and I had to add salt to it. My friend got the gyro bowl, which tasted good, but they had added tortilla chips to it, which wasn't on the description. They also had forgotten about her order, and I had to go inside to ask them if they were going to bring it out, and it had just been sitting on the side waiting. It has a really nice atmosphere and is really great for those days you want to sit outside and enjoy the sunny weather by the beach. My favorite things to order are the acai bowl and avocado toast. For coffee, I like the Cafe Sacks (if I'm craving something a little bit sweeter) or a vanilla latte. Parking can be found in the underground parking structure right around the corner. read more

I ordered a breakfast bagel from this place and I was disgusted by the quality of the food I got, I had ordered avocado for my bagel and it was basically bad already it was dark and the bacon on my bagel was old and tasted really bad it was hard and just as if it had been sitting there for a couple of days and they just reheated it the eggs had no flavor it was tasteless no flavor really I've ordered from Noah's bagels and those bagels taste wonderful there and you can tell the quality from the bagels there to the bagels from this place it's not fresh at all I had to throw all the food and I wasted my money and time since I doordashed it, so please don't waste your time going to this place and get disappointed. read more

This is one of those YELP head-scratchers. How does this place have an average of 4 stars? We came here looking for some healthy options for a late brunch. It's very apparent the person who made our food, has no idea what avocado toast and an Acai bowl are supposed to be. First off, the primary ingredient of avocado toast should be fresh avocado, not slices of brown nastiness that's covered with slices of hard-boiled egg. Acai bowls, believe it or not, are also supposed to be healthy. Not a super-sugary mess with a half-dozen barely-fresh berries. Came here for brunch with my husband and was severely disappointed. The Mediterranean wrap had a buttload of spinach and not much else. Couldn't taste the feta and the tomatoes were nasty and translucent. Couldn't even eat a 1/4 of the first half of the wrap. Got an iced coffee and it tasted like a keurig over ice. Could have made it at home. Husband got the Belgian waffle and it had strawberries and bananas and whipped cream. He enjoyed it. Ended up eating an almond croissant and it was good. I don't understand people who go into customer service when they clearly hate customers. The cashier wasn't bothering to listen to what I wanted, and she was clearly irritated when I had to correct her on every single item. Wouldn't have happened if she hadn't cut me off at every turn! Sack's features surly service that will punish you with terrible, incorrectly-prepared food (all of my items were clearly prepared poorly on purpose, or the preparer was simply incompetent and didn't know how sandwiches and salads work) for wanting the bare minimum. My friend and I were looking for a place to get brunch. The yelp reviews said this was nice so we went. I wanted something light to eat so I went with the Avacado Toast, which had corn, tomatoes, cilantro, (kind of like pico de gallo?) hard boiled eggs and avacados. This was surprisingly very filling as well as delicious. I also ordered the green up & go which had kale, bananas, and strawberries. My friend got the think green juice and she said that was good. That had kale, celery, lime, apple and cucumber. There was a crowded despite the small venue. There are seats in side and outside as well. The cashiers ars really nice and they bring the food to your table. Overall, this is a good place to go for brunch or lunch or breakfast and, catch up with a friend. Woke up early one Saturday morning and decided to grab a quick breakfast by the beach. Sacks was the closest to our house although we've never eaten here. Saw quite a bit of people enjoying their breakfast on tables outside. Walked in and I was surprised at the interior conditions. It looked like it could use a little TLC. Ordered the El Greco. It's a croissant sandwich with scrambled eggs, kalamata olives, feta cheese, tomato and basil. Bf ordered the Sacks hash and eggs which has butternut squash, sweet potato and some other stuff. The El Greco was alright. It wasn't something out of the ordinary and my bf's hash tasted slightly better than my croissant sandwich. I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the restaurant's out of date conditions and the food being mediocre. But, the service was friendly and food came out pretty fast and the proximity to the beach can't be beat. read more

I'm here at the Riviera faire and just had lunch at this cute sandwich shop. I was amazed. The turkey sandwich was served on a nice toasted baguette. The wonderful part was the delicious zucchini and cream soup. This was one of the best soups I've ever had. I'm definitely coming back. read more

Love the chill vibe, the super friendly staff, the corner location and most importantly, dog friendly !!! I gave 4 stars because the food was just alright, but everything else was great! I will definitely come bak here to try other dishes! I got the Cali Omelette, it was okay. It does not taste bad, but just ok. If you had it once, you will know what I mean. In comparison, my bf's Go Pro scramble is a much better choice. This dish definitely taste more flavor than my omelette. I have been going to Sacks for many years. It's like coming home to family every time I go. The owners are so kind and considerate and the food is great. I recommend the Mexi-sandi or the Frenchie. I also enjoy their smoothies and juices. The fresh squeezed orange juice is amazing. The ginger ale is refreshing and I like the kitchen sink with added ginger when I need a little immunity boost. During the fall months, make sure to get a piece of homemade pumpkin bread. It is delicious . I have also reserved the restaurant/patio area for a business event. The owners created a unique menu for the event and provided exceptional service. I highly recommend Sacks on the Beach. read more
