Charm. Charm. Charm. Sacred Ground Café is a go-to after hikes or a peaceful coffee in the canyon. Great coffee, cozy vibe, and the food always hits. Bonus that they do nice gf options for meals and desserts. If you want proof God exists, try the honey cake! It's a true neighborhood gem tucked right into Cheyenne Canyon.

Charming little café in the Broadmoor area. I really enjoyed my veggie sandwich and pistachio latte. The inside had a/c. The outdoor seating on the side and back of the building was open. The outside seating was beautifully decorated with flowers. The side of the building, especially, had a garden feel and was completely shaded. The baristas were pleasant and helpful. I'd definitely return sooner if I didn't live 30 mins away.

This is an exceptional cafe near the Broadmoor! I've passed it many times on my way to or from hiking in north Cheyenne canyon and finally stopped by after my past weekend hike to mount muscoco. The exterior and interior are both so charming and cozy and the baristas are friendly and helpful! I ordered a dirty chai latte with oat milk and it was one of the best I've had in the springs; much more vanilla than spicy. I noticed the variety of food and pastry items as well, including some fabulous looking macaroons. This is a great place for a coffee, breakfast or quick stop after a hike.

Cute spot, we went about 45 minutes after opening and were able to find a close parking spot. Service was fast for two lattes, and inside the cafe was super cozy and nostalgic. Can't wait to try the food next!

The food is bland and the lady running it is very rude. She was very annoyed when we had questions about the menu.

The first time I was there was many years ago, when the warm fireplace with couches was a centerpiece and memorable. It's upstairs, off the street, windows looking out. I finally made it back with a friend, and we had a great time; however, as John C. said in his comments, I can relate to the (still current) problems they seem to be facing with only one employee available, and no one to make the cheese fondue we were looking forward to. We settled for a cheese and hummus & olive plates, which were good, just not what we wanted. I do not recall the fireplace going. There were a couple of other parties seated at tables, and it seemed as though our server was a bit overwhelmed. He did know about the wine, which we appreciated. I do not wish to write off this special place and am hopeful they will make improvements based on reviews like this one.

The thai chili salmon plate was bright and fresh, with a nice balance of glaze, greens, and noodles. Overall, higher quality for lower price. We will be returning. It's a fun vibe, especially with a larger group, but harder to talk because it is loud. There are three drink stations--wine, mixed drinks, and beer. Our party sampled all of them. Very nice. Everything is connected when you start a tab, so you don't have to worry about paying at each station. My wife and I shared the sanctuary salad--delightful! We add bacon as our protein and had the smoked tea vinaigrette--doesn't sound like much, but it made the salad great! Daughters ordered the charcuterie board, which was delicious. And we ordered the chocolate mousse for desert--very rich, like fudge. Mmm. Highly recommended!! If you are in Colorado Springs you have to try it. Service was very, very good. At the end of the night, I asked my wife how much she thought it cost for the four of us to have dinner and drinks. She said, "$200." It was $120 with tip.

I wanted to dig in and see why this town has no James Beard awards. As soon as the first course was sat down, it was abundantly clear. The scallops stunk badly. Visually, they were pretty, but I didn't finish the course. Next came a kale salad. I thought this was a joke: a five course tasting menu with a Chick-fil-A style salad. Ok? The next course was a seared piece of fish and broccoli rabe. The broccoli was nicely cooked in butter and the fish was very tasty. The sauce's color was not great and the lentils were under seasoned. This was the best course. Next we got what could only be described as kitchen leftovers. A pile of mushrooms and greens topped with an overcooked teres major chunk. Wrapped around was a confused mustard green that didn't add anything to the dish. Finally we got the dessert. They call it crème brûlée, but it is not. It was good especially when paired with the port. The only successful wine pairing in all five courses. The service was very casual and impersonal. The ambiance was modern and very casual. Would be best for a night out with shorts and a graphic tee and your nicest crocs. I think the chef has potential. The fish dish was a step in the right direction, but this is not fine dining. Also, there are no premium whiskies in their bar, but the bar outside had a decent selection. They should work together.
