Danny was amazing! Great customer service, personable and kind! Oreo espresso martini was YUM! Scooby snack shot was delicious! Totally coming again.

Saddle Ranch Chop House ended up being one of the highlights of our night! We originally stopped in just to kill some time before our comedy show, but we ended up staying longer because the vibe was so much fun. We watched a couple take on the mechanical bull (always entertaining ), and the World Cup was playing on a HUGE screen, which made the atmosphere even better. The service was amazing! The staff was super friendly, quick, and always checking to see if we needed anything. I wasn't even that hungry, but I tried the mac & cheese (so good!) and the sweet potato fries were PERFECT--crispy, not soggy, and paired with the most delicious sweet dipping sauce. Between the fun atmosphere, great food, awesome service, and all-around good energy, I'd definitely come back. Next time I'll make sure I show up hungry because now I actually want to try more of the menu!

Came in for a casual drink and ended up having dinner and lots of drinks. Rode the bull and had a blast But the best and most memorable was the customer service. Kefer helped us outlandish was outstanding. Drinks where on point his food recommendations also perfect. Saddle Ranch is lucky to have him as an employee. Would definitely go back to visit and send friends and family there.

Settle Ranch is like a throw back to my early 2000s ...here I was right back at it. You know the food was good. The service was great. The ambience was amazing. The only thing I was missing was the standard across the street. I have a soft affinity for this place cause I literally grew up in romped around it, and one of my favorite stories is leaving the saddle Ranch going across the street to the standard! RIP we had a couple of drinks well more than a couple of drinks, but I mean, how can you help it bottomless bloody Mary's and bottomless mimosas for 999 with the purchase of an entrée so it's like how can you not... I really enjoyed being at this spot. I bought a T-shirt. It was just so fun and very reminiscent of the times that I used to have when we lived near there and I used to be there all the time not there all the time but be in that area all the time so for those of you who loved settle Ranch go visit it again it hasn't changed. It's exactly the same. Good vibes. Good food good drinks fun times.

We came all the way from Bakersfield for a concert! We sat at the bar and Mike attended us with over the top service ! The food was delicious and prices were reasonable for their food portions. The restaurant itself was very nice & welcoming. I will definitely be stopping here more often when I come back into LA !

Saddle ranch is such a great place to stop by after work for a beer. Mike is GREAT, every time I come, he treats me and my group so good, he deserves a raise!! Don't skip the opportunity to stop by and have a beer. Ask for Mike and thank me later!

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere here. We came during happy hour and enjoyed some strong, flavorful drinks. I got the BBQ chicken chop salad and the half size was HUGE and so damn good! My fiance got a burger with sweet potato fries and it came with a unique marshmallow dip. our server, (mike? mark? i'm so mad im blanking) went above and beyond at the very least! He was so kind and gave us great tips as first timers in the LA area. He even treated us to biscuits and cornbread, and even a cookie skillet, which was seriously generous of him! We were headed to the observatory after and he went out of his way to run out to our car before we left to give us some cold water. A true act of hospitality that i'll never forget.

This spot and staff have always been so welcoming. They have great bartenders and staff who make your feel right at home. The drinks are well served and the food is good. The cake was on the house as they overheard it was one of our friends birthdays! So glad we had an amazing time as it was their first time ever going to this spot. As for the hubby and I! We will all see ya soon! Thanks again for all the hospitality!

I had to stop by saddle ranch to experience it for myself. I've seen influencers galore post about this place and it was fun to see it in person. It was a little awkward when walking in, it was like they weren't prepared for any guests or they weren't sure how to welcome or seat people. I'm not sure what happened there but I almost left before I even got seated or greeted. Once I sat down, I walked quite a while for a server which felt strange cuz there was barely anyone dining at this time of day. I got a table outside and ordered one of their signature drinks. It was so so tasty. The chicken tenders were TOP notch. Actually so shockingly tasty. The portion was huge so I had leftovers for days. The staff was then incredibly welcoming and over the top nice and chatty. I'm glad I stuck it out to experience this place. I'd totally come back again!

The summer vegetable tart and potato rose were my next favorites. The tart had a nice flaky crust and burst with umami flavors. I also had the white, black, and ceremonial matcha teas. All were beautifully prepared. They also give you honey, but helpfully dilute it first so it's easy to pour into your tea. You also have the option of getting any of teas over ice. My husband has type 1 diabetes so we very rarely eat at Italian ristorantes. Chef Tara has helped us rediscover a new world of flavor without negative impacts on my husband's blood sugar and cholesterol. (Thanks for the variety of non-dairy cheeses!!) Tip for first-timers: go when you can have the brunch or the lunch menu. Then you'll have so many options that you'll have to return! Round 1 Polpettine (meatballs) are made from lentils and texture similar to the real ones; lovely marinara sauce and ground macadamia nut instead of parmesan. Complement this with the citrus notes that highlight the sauteed swiss chard with earthy Italian butter / gigante beans. Round 2 The same beans are in the Greek goddess salad: rich with tomatoes, kalamata olives, and fresh red onions. This was a visually stunning and paired well with the Sicilian almond 'tuna' melt. The tuna is by far the most imaginative. Again, Chef Tara and the back of the house nailed the texture and I loved the hints of crunchy celery. The capers injected tiny bursts of salt and tartness. The only moderation I'd consider is slightly crisping / toasting the sandwich bread -- but the tuna melt sando is great as it is. Pura Vida is a diamond in the rough especially because the storefront is pretty discreet. I sure wish that we lived closer. We'll be back for special occasions in our life!

Full disclaimer - I don't own a Tesla but came here with my friend who owns a Tesla and wanted to charge and check this place out for himself. There are a good amount of Level 4 chargers both in the main lot and secondary lot. The main lot chargers are treated with two massive drive in theater movie screens which at the time, the Jetson were playing as well as Freaky Friday. The diner itself has seating on the first floor for about 30 guest with tables and bar seating while the outdoor roof deck has alot more seating around the perimeter. As far as the food my first impression was that it was pricey. For example their basic smashburger named the Tesla Giga Burger was $14. The meat was smashed and thin and it is covered in sauteed onions and sauce. It was ok and just felt that should have been a $10-$12 burger. The fries were also ok but they also offered special sauces which you had to pay for. I did add a fountain drink and the server did say they use cane sugar colas and that was pretty good. I wanted to try more entrees like their chili and cookies but again I just felt like the prices were very high and did want to take the gamble on them after having my burger. Overall cool experience visiting the Tesla Diner which provided a unique charging experience in a very Tesla centric atmosphere.

This is a long-overdue post. République has been on my must-visit list of LA dining experiences for…read morequite some time. I just never realized where it was since I don't usually make it out to Hancock Park. Then one day, while I happened to be in the area, I stumbled upon it and had one of those "Wait...this is here?!" moments. You ever have one of those places you've wanted to visit forever, only to realize it was much closer than you thought? My first visit was actually for dessert after having a less-than-memorable lunch at Mish down the street. Unfortunately, I arrived later in the day and most of the pastry case had already been wiped out, leaving only a limited selection. The staff recommended the Dulce de Leche Cremadette ($6.75), and I'm glad they did. It was perfectly flaky, buttery, and sweet, with the dulce de leche tucked inside the pastry. The caramel reminded me of the caramel coating on a caramel apple. I also picked up some brownies at the staff's recommendation, and those were fantastic -- incredibly moist, rich, and delicious. Definitely a must-get. I was a little disappointed that I missed out on the majority of the pastry selection, but I was told that the pastries are made in limited batches each day and once they sell out, that's it. So if you're coming specifically for the pastries, get here early. Earlier this summer, I made the acquaintance of an OG Yelper, Joseph A., and we've been corresponding back and forth on Yelp. I happened to know that he's a regular at République, so I asked if he'd be interested in meeting me right when they opened. I figured if anyone knew what to order, it would be him. Joseph was incredibly kind and gracious enough to treat me to breakfast. I ordered his usual breakfast recommendation: the Regular Breakfast ($24), which comes with bacon steak, fingerling potatoes, a demi baguette, French butter, jam, and an egg prepared any style. Joseph went with the soft scramble, and I followed his lead. That was definitely the move. They really know how to cook eggs here. The soft scramble was absolutely divine -- creamy, delicate, and perfectly cooked. The bacon steak was a little on the salty side, but still very good. The demi baguette was excellent, especially with the French butter and jam. Honestly, I could have eaten several pieces of that baguette with the butter and jam alone. The fingerling potatoes were nicely seasoned and quite good on their own, but a few dashes of hot sauce really took them up another notch. I'll be honest: $24 is definitely on the pricey side for what you're getting, especially when you break down the individual components. That said, when you factor in the quality of the food, the setting, and the overall experience, I can understand why people are willing to pay it. We also shared several pastries, and every single one was excellent in its own right. I'm officially hooked on the pastries here. They just don't miss. Service was pretty good during my visit. One thing worth noting is that République adds a 4% surcharge to the bill to help cover healthcare for their staff. It's certainly something to be aware of when looking at the final bill. f you're looking for a quintessential LA brunch experience to take out-of-towners to, République is a great option. Just be prepared for potentially long lines, especially on weekends. I visited on a weekday morning over the summer, so I didn't personally experience the weekend crowds. My only real wait was at the pastry counter during my first visit. I've heard you can expect people lining up before they even open at 8AM, so plan accordingly. The cult following surrounding Walter and Margarita Manzke's restaurant/café is understandable. Between the food, pastries, atmosphere, and history of the building, there's a lot to appreciate here. And speaking of history, the building itself is pretty special. The property was built in 1928 by Charlie Chaplin. It became a restaurant in 1989 when chefs Mark Peel and Nancy Silverton transformed the space to open La Brea Bakery and Campanile. After Campanile closed in 2012, the building was renovated and modified to open up the space while returning it closer to the spirit of its original construction. République opened in 2013 and has been going strong ever since. Do yourself a favor and eat at République. Come for the food and pastries, but also take some time to appreciate the ambiance and the history of this incredible LA property. And whatever you do, get here early if you want the pastries. Once they're gone, they're gone! Don't walk--run to République.

Came here for brunch with my girlfriend and we had a really good experience! We ordered a few…read moredifferent things so we could try a little bit of everything. I got the Ribeye Steak & Egg Waffle, which came with a waffle, medium-rare ribeye, sunny-side-up eggs, potatoes, and onions. The steak and eggs made it super filling, and I liked having the sweet waffle alongside the savory breakfast. I also had a red sangria, which was refreshing and paired really well with everything. My girlfriend got the Oh Wow Crispy French Toast and the All American Breakfast. The French toast was definitely a standout cinnamon swirl brioche with crème brûlée, corn flakes, berries, and Nutella. It was crispy, sweet, and loaded with toppings. The All American was a solid classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes. We also split an order of the truffled waffle fries, and those were really good. They came out crispy, well seasoned, and topped with plenty of parmesan. Definitely worth getting for the table. Service was great as well. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and attentive, and our food and drinks came out without us feeling rushed. Our server checked in on us throughout the meal and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was one of my favorite parts. It has a casual, lively brunch atmosphere with an indoor/outdoor feel, plenty of natural light, and a relaxed setup that makes it a good spot for a weekend brunch or brunch date. It felt energetic without being overly formal. Overall, we left very full and happy. The portions are generous, there's a lot of variety on the menu, and the combination of good food, drinks, service, and atmosphere made for a great brunch. Definitely somewhere we'd come back to!

Customer Service is great! Waiters are attentive and go above and beyond…read more The food here is good, nothing amazing but good. Portions I will say are pretty large which I think is awesome. I feel like the food can be a little bland at times. Truffle fires are yunmy and omelettes are good. Parking sucks but everyone knows this area has poor parking in general. The space is small so it fills up fast so make a reservation or show up early: Seating is a bit crowded so I opt to always sit outside. It's a spot I go back to when I am catching up with a friend. You can trust that the food won't be bad and the place can be a vibe for a casual dining experience.
