Tomato Bisque WHICH containS CHICKEN!!! Chicken broth, rendered chicken fat!
Shristy A.

Vegetarian/vegan reviewer: I really like this Safeway for the most part- it's not one of the biggest Safeways and the one on San Antonio is bigger. But I am here to scream and raise a very important point. Please Safeway acknowledge and do better! I am extremely annoyed - how can you not be explicit in saying that a tomato basil bisque is non-vegetarian! It contains chick broth and rendered chicken fat. And that is written(read hidden) between a hundred thousand words! Being a vegetarian I have lost faith in this store now, I am little scared to check on every label now. Oh and hello, it's not just me- I offered this to a group of people after I randomly tasted some meatiness in it after buying this for at least 6-7 times. Almost all vegetarian folks were surprised when I mentioned this contains chicken.

Chicken livers

I bought two containers of chicken livers that I had to throw away one container due to very poor quality livers. Safeway's products are of very poor quality and the management doesn't give a hoot. This goes for their fruit and almost everything else.

Sunday at 9pm. Manager needs to be let go already....ridiculous
Brian K.

Update: still painfully obvious this store needs a manager. Today I was told there were only 15 baskets for the entire store. I made a suggestion to borrow some from another store and the response was as if I solved world hunger. It baffles me as to why this store continues toso poorly run. Update: this location doing a decent job given the current COVID situation. Store seems clean, workers have positive attitude, stocked as well as could be.

a birthday cake with jungle animals

I love this Safeway! I order curbside pick up since it's hard to shop with two little ones and they're very good at getting our order ready. I also love ordering cake here, look at what the decorator came up with for our son's 1st bday party cake (pictured). She is so creative, and the cake was so delicious too! Everyone loved it! Thank you so much! I appreciate all the staff here God Bless!

I can easily pop them out of the pack and throw them in the oven with S&P or some soy and its a meal.

Visited to grab a few groceries & ready-to-go food for dinner…read more * Store is always clean & tidy, loads of parking * Produce section always has rotating sales, check it out for good finds * To-go food section always has a wide range of options (maximum availability earlier on in the day), though prices have inched up the way prices have everywhere. Still a good value foe good portions & tasty eats * Queues move quickly & cashiers are very fast Highlight: Snapped photos of all the matcha options I found this time, hard not to try loads of them.

Been going here since they were K-Market and have been a rewards member since. After hitting my…read more1000 points redemption, I think it's about time for a review. Love the ample parking, prime location, and how spacious it is inside. The rewards system is essentially a 1% cash back at a 1000pt cliff -- meaning you get $10 after you spend $1000 but no redemptions before that. Being a member also doesn't get you any additional discounts vs non-members. But hey it's free so it doesn't hurt. I'll always support there being more Asian grocery stores in the West Side of the South Bay. H-Mart always had that spot for me, but now it's shared. Mega Mart's marketed as a more premium store, but it does its best when they're running sales. Price between the two are pretty neck and neck. You'll spend anywhere from $70-$200 per trip cuz the small things do add up. They used to have prepped food marked off anywhere from 30-70% off in the final and early hours of the day. Now, it's an inconsistent luck of the draw. However, I've never had an issue with food quality with anything I've purchased whether it be prepped food or raw ingredients. 4/5, solid store. Hope they continue to grow and thrive as a mainstay of the community.
