This is my second time coming to Saga. Not a bad place at all. Lots of colorful lights to help with the ambiance but the decor would never lead you to believe that you were in a Japanese restaurant. On the walls I see a pictures of Boston, sea shells and I think the Eiffel Tower. I like to sit at the sushi bar when I go to a Japanese restaurant that has one. This one is unique. Half of it is the bar and the other half is where the sushi chefs are. I sat on the sushi side. I was surprised that the waiting staff would reach over me the whole time I was there so get food from the sushi bar. Wasn't too comfortable. The food was great. I love the sushi at Saga but I was hungry for some Pad Thai. Big mistake. The noodles seemed to have been cooked in advance, there was no flavor to the dish at all. I ordered medium spicy and there was no spice at all. I will definitely order sushi from here again but now I'm on a search for decent Pad Thai on Cape Cod. read more

Food was ok, all staff was great, except one man who ruined experience, he was nasty to staff, yelling at them because they took to long with customers, he yelled at our waiter who was helping our child decide on fries or rice. He told waiter dont bother with child, don't talk to child, just get order and move on, everyone in area was put back by this. We will never return to this location. Mistakes happen. I get it, but to have management just stand there and not only ignore a customer trying to discuss the customer service issue at hand, but to stare off into space while the customer is speaking is the epitome of disrespect and awful customer service. I've never been so disrespected by a local establishment I frequent often in my life. Made me feel like I didn't matter. I wasn't important to them. My money was, though. Seems like they have no problem taking your money, but could care less about the customer who is giving it. Very dissatisfied. Appalled even. First time here on the recommendation of some friends. Had the miso soup which was miso soup and the side salad with a very good ginger dressing. Moved on to a plate of spicy tuna, spicy salmon and eel/avocado rolls. These were all excellent, great flavor and good crunch on the spicy rolls. We then shared a shrimp and vegetable tempura. Really really good. Light crunchy coating and a surprisingly large amount of shrimp. Could have used a few more vegetables but who would complain about getting more shrimp!?! This place always seems to be really busy, but I'm not sure I totally understand why. The food here is ok, but there are much better Asain restaurants on the Cape (and nearby). If you want good sushi go to Yings, in fact for most of the stuff you can get at saga fusion I would suggest checking out Yings instead. Their food is amazing and around the same price, plus they are close to main street Hyannis so there is more to do in there area. read more

Had a great experience at Saga Fusion for dinner tonight. Was seated and served very quickly by a friendly wait staff. They had a very large selection of sushi, which was delicious, albeit a little overpriced. My boyfriend and I ordered six rolls of which my favorites were the sweet potato roll and shrimp tempura roll, which says a lot given that these are two classic choices that you can pretty much order anywhere. The pieces themselves were also nicely proportioned. So fresh! Can't wait to go back with a new crew. read more

If I could give a negative stars I would! The server was immediately rude and she gave attitude rushing us to immediately order. What is not listed on the menu is the restaurant closes from 3-4 (which she told us a few times while she was trying to rush our order) She stated there is a sign on the door (not on any website). We arrived and were seated at 2:10. We tried to order as fast as possible and while ordering, she was arguing the specific requests we were asking for and made us feel wrong for what we were requesting as paying customers. When she picked up the signed copy of the bill she walked back to our table trying to tell us that we did not tip her enough. It was explained to her that she gave us poor service and that she should be grateful she received anything at all. After back and forth (what happened to the customer is always right?) she stormed off yelling in Chinese (just to show that her tip was deserved) and another server came over to try to get to the bottom of it. By this time the whole table was over the situation. Bottom line.... Food was good but the meal was ruined because we all ate in anger and the feeling of being an inconvenience... not in joy. Next birthday meal will NOT be at Saga Fusion. Good luck people! read more

Food is great, but our to-go order was wrong so I called when I arrived home to let them know and the 'manager' barely spoke English so I just hung up. How do you operate a business when you cannot speak English. Tried the fried rice with steak three times it was full of fat so we went for the chicken and that was gummy. I do not recommend this place at all. The wait staff is unfriendly and eggar to get you in and out as fast as they can. They charged us more than our meals cost and then added more money to our tip, once we left. I called and they didn't seem to care. Great lunch yesterday. From walking in until we left, manager/owner was very welcoming and attentive. Overall great service. We did have to move because the backs on the booths move when someone is sitting behind you and shifting in their seat. This was annoying but could probably be fixed. The food was overall delicious. I had spicy seafood soup which was just the right amount of spicy and a decent amount of seafood in a small bowl. Shrimp were nicely deveined and shelled. We also had the spicy garlic tofu - very good. A salmon-avocado appetizer was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. My lunch companions had miso soup and salad that came with entrees - no complaints. The mango chicken entree was really great - a favorite. The wasabi scallops were just okay - not enough sauce. The sushi was outstanding. Inventive, fresh and delicious. We had the golden monkey, hot babe and the Massachusetts girl. All excellent. Oh, and the green tea is "real tea" as my friend called it, meaning brewed with leaves in a pot, not a tea bag. They still have a few kinks to work out, but we'll be back. read more

This place was really good when it first opened. But it's getting increasingly worse in quality each time I go. A few weeks ago, I went for lunch and ordered the peppered tuna as I always do, and it was oddly chewy and tasted too fishy. I decided not to let that stop me and returned again last night but instead of the peppered tuna, I ordered the tuna tar tar. BAD IDEA. It was disgusting. It looked like a bright orange paté and tasted really fishy and gross. They obviously are not using fresh ingredients like they were when they first opened which is really dangerous when you're serving people raw fish. After that I will probably not return which stinks because I live right down the street. If you want quality sushi, try Misaki in Hyannis. read more

As they say Japanese cuisine is an acquired taste and I never had the fancy of eating sushi and sashimi rolls until now. My girlfriends and I tried Saga fusion for the first time and I got hooked. I love the Phoenix chef specialty rolls, I've tried their crispy red snapper fillets and Ton (pork cutlet) - delicious! The menu is pretty extensive so there's something for everybody. Their martini drinks are pretty good too! I gave it a 4-star rating because the prices are definitely not inexpensive but aside from that I recommend trying this place out. read more

2 stars because of a recent experience I had, otherwise my boyfriend and I frequent here and I am just so disappointed. So I recommend but only to eat in. Yesterday, I picked up some sushi togo with miso soup. It took several minutes to be acknowledged even though employees + family were dining in (watched a child go out back to blow her nose and play with a tub of soup sitting OUT on the sushi bar). I also watched as the sushi chefs sat on their phones the entire time I was there. One gentleman (he is usually there so probably a manager) got the food together and I could see him packaging white rice and sauces with no gloves on through the curtains. At this point a chef came out with his apron ON and went into the bathroom (they are single stall so he was 100% going to the bathroom and didn't come out until after I left) . The other woman waiting was clearly agitated but her order was larger so it explains the wait but when the employee came out with both orders he asked her if she wanted chopsticks. She replied no which was fine and was on her way and then I paid for my food and left. I was not asked if I wanted chopsticks and I assumed I had gotten some because of what I ordered but after a 20 minute drive home I opened the bag to no chopsticks and sushi that fell apart as soon as I picked it up. I eat here all the time and am appalled at the behavior and atmosphere today. The family eating paid us no mind even though some of them clearly worked there and I never got chopsticks. It seems minor but when you order a specialty item like this you dont want to go home and eat it with a fork and spoon. read more

The food is great but the service isn't the best. Our waiter was rude and rushed us. There was no introduction and no welcome. We were simply asked if we wanted anything else to drink and when we said we weren't sure the drink menu was ripped out of our hands. When deciding what to get he was not very approachable when it came to questions so I just had to hope for the best. He took away our appetizer before we were done and gave us our main course. We had to hastily finish our appetizer to get to our main course. He was rude and condescending about the use of chopsticks. Thankfully I was ready for it when he was about to take away my plate with one piece of sushi left. After we paid we were trying to call an uber and were stared down until we went to wait outside in the cold. Overall a bad experience with good food. read more

I've been coming here since a few months after they opened. I've always had a great experience, the waitstaff is always alert and responsive. They also will stop and chat with you, not only about the food but about the cape in general. The chefs are always neat and professional taking proper care of the food. The sushi is definitely top notch, I would say the best on cape cod. Always fresh and nicely prepared. Can't say I've ever not enjoyed myself there. read more
