The Thai Iced Tea was very good (I kept stretching it by adding lactose free milk & it was perfect it never lost it's flavor) The Crispy Chicken looked like it could have been mushy but it wasn't - it was perfect crisp with perfect sauce adhered and a perfect bite size all fresh vegetables with good crunch not soggy. Both spring roll & shrimp roll were not greasy they were light and flavorful. The shrimp fried was also not greasy and the shrimp in the rice was cooked perfectly not rubbery or overcooked. Garlic Chicken Wings (4.25/5): A little salty at first, but pairing them with the vinegar sauce from the dumplings made each bite better. The wings were noticeably juicier than the drumsticks. Pad See Ew (4.75/5): Loved the thick, flat noodles and the charred wok hay. The chicken was tender and not overcooked, which is always a win. And this made me laugh while we were there, someone came in and picked up what looked like five huge trays of food for a party. That's when you know a place has some serious fans. I was already impressed with the food, but seeing someone order Thai food by the tray definitely felt like confirmation. We parked the car and managed to get into the restaurant without slipping on the massive amounts of black ice that had accumulated in the lot. The restaurant's decor was lacking in that the booths on the right side of the place had ripped upholstery and the seating on the left side was in better condition, but mismatched. Despite the furniture, the woman running the front of the house was very sweet, and the food was great! We started with the Curry Puff appetizer. The 3 large dumplings had been completely stuffed with a sweet chicken curry, while the fried, flaky exterior was a nice golden brown color and not at all greasy. My Pad See Ew with Chicken was very flavorful and perfectly cooked, though it could have used a tad more sauce. My companion felt the same about his Drunken Noodles, which he similarly scarfed up, though he would have preferred more spice. I have now tried several Thai restaurants in Bergen County and many of them have fallen short on delivering the flavorful impact I would expect from the cuisine.
