Great place to go for a hearty bowl of Pho. Generous portions of meat, vegetables and that savory broth good to the last drop! Fast service! Food arrived less than 5 minutes after our order and it was busy with the lunch rush. Love the variety of condiments on the table. Definitely a go to for a quick lunch.

On a Sunday, my friend's family and I stopped in for some dinner. The restaurant is not a showy restaurant, more ma and pa kind of feel- so you come to dine. As they were frequent guest to this establishment, they knew what they wanted quickly- so we ordered readily and the food came out quickly. As for taste- the food was ok. I had the vermicelli with spring rolls and chicken. It was standard- but nothing special. The rest of the group had the Pho which is apparently what most people come for. The portions were not very big as well, especially in comparison to other Vietnamese restaurants. The service was very attentive. And the restaurant has a decent size parking lot.

I never knew this plane existed until I found it on Yelp. Funny thing is, I've been to the restaurants on either side of Saigon Bistro and actually never noticed it despite their fairly large signage! The place is cute and the service is nice. Looks popular with the local regulars. I definitely want to return and try other dishes here.

It's a very mom and pop store vibe Pho. I enjoyed the atmosphere and how simple the interior design was. Pho was great, steaming hot soup and soft rice noodles. I ordered the combination and there were so much protein. We also took a fried rice to go and added more shrimp and it smelled like heaven during a whole car ride home. There weren't much toppings in the fried rice like vegetables but it was a decent dish. The parking is easy where it has its own parking lot shared with a couple of other stores. If you pay with card, they charge you a 3 percent fee. The service was great as they are attentive to get you water and food was served swiftly.

It's my fav spot if I'm craving Pho. It's delicious, and their tai tea is one of the best! They have good service as well, they're always nice! Prices are ok too!

Solid classic Vietnamese food at overall reasonable prices, but flavor is not standout. Pho, vermicelli, and spring rolls were tasty though pretty standard. The filet minion beef was delicious and well cooked but perhaps over priced with relatively small portions. Wonderful service and casual, family friendly ambiance. ***Note: there is a 3% charge to use a credit card so bring cash to save money

I just remember working nearby when I was younger and Saigon Dish becoming part of the routine. I came constantly. Sometimes practically every day. This was before the larger setup they have now, when the whole operation felt smaller and you got to know the person behind it pretty quickly. That person is John. And before we get into pho, John deserves his paragraph. He is one of those increasingly rare restaurant owners who makes you genuinely happy to hand him your money. In the early days, before I became the longtime regular who mostly gives him shit, I remember him talking me through ingredients. Why he chose something. What I should order. What was good that day. There was an intentionality behind the food that told you somebody was paying attention. And that's the thing I respect most about this place, he never let it go. The restaurant grew. Life moved on. I stopped working nearby. I got older. I brought coworkers. Then friends. My parents. My sisters. Eventually my wife and kids. And the pho is still good. I should establish that I'm obnoxious about pho. I've eaten a lot of it, from tiny places where nobody particularly cares whether you know they exist to polished restaurants charging you for the privilege of sitting underneath an Edison bulb. There are spectacular bowls all over California. So I'm not going to tell you Saigon Dish serves the single greatest pho ever created by mankind. It doesn't need that kind of BS. What it does incredibly well is balance. The broth is clean. That's the word I always come back to. Clean. Deep enough that you know something happened before it reached your bowl, but it doesn't club you over the head with star anise and herbs. And it isn't the sad, watery approximation of pho you sometimes encounter when you wander too far west and somebody has decided broth should taste like hot water that once met a cow. This tastes like pho. The filet mignon is consistently tender and smooth. The tripe is properly cleaned. The tendon is cooked beautifully, soft and gelatinous without disintegrating, which is where tendon should live. The meatballs are surprisingly good. The well done beef can occasionally lean a little dry for my taste, but that's what the bowl of broth and a little sriracha are for. I've also eaten my way through so much of the menu that reconstructing it would require archaeological work. Egg rolls? Get them. Rice dishes? Yep. Noodles? Yep. Vietnamese coffee? Obviously. Coconut drinks? Go for it. I've brought an absurd number of people here over the years and the remarkable thing is how universally the place works. Pho nerds can find something to obsess over, but you can also bring somebody who barely knows Vietnamese food and they'll be completely comfortable. And then there's the operation itself. This isn't some immaculate Beverly Hills dining room designed by a hospitality group. Thank God. It looks like a South Bay Vietnamese restaurant. Every available corner seems to have acquired a purpose. People are moving everywhere. Tables are turning. Someone needs extra onions. Someone wants another bowl. Someone's asking for sriracha. Somebody's kid needs chopsticks. Water appears before you realize you need it. And somehow it flows. That's harder than it looks. Service here has always felt unusually effortless to me. Not performative. Nobody is giving you a TED Talk about the provenance of the bean sprouts. They just take care of you. Parking occasionally becomes its own little hunger game. Don't panic. Circle around, wait a few minutes, somebody will finish their pho and leave. I've written a lot of reviews and I don't throw five stars around because then five stars stop meaning anything. But how exactly do you rate a restaurant you've voluntarily returned to for close to thirty years? At some point consistency becomes the review. I've watched Saigon Dish grow from the little place I remember into what it is today. I've sent coworkers here. Friends. My parents. My sisters. My own family. I've probably eaten enough of John's pho at this point that some measurable percentage of my body belongs to the restaurant. And I'm still coming back.

You order inside and pick up your food at the window outside, and the whale mural surrounding the pickup window is such a fun, memorable touch. There are a couple of benches outside if you want to eat there, although I noticed most people seemed to grab their food to go. The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the Cash Burger, and it was packed with flavor. The burger was perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Even a simple burger here tastes like it was made with care. The truffle Parmesan fries were another standout--crispy, flavorful, and completely addictive. We also tried two dipping sauces: the habanero cream and the chipotle. Both were delicious and added a unique twist to the burger and fries, but the habanero cream was definitely my favorite. It's not often you find sauces that elevate an already great meal this much. My only suggestion would be to improve the outdoor seating area. The benches could use a little more attention, and having a better trash setup would make eating outside much more enjoyable. One thing that really sold me was my one-year-old. She absolutely devoured the burger! I usually have to work to get her to eat anything besides quesadillas, and even In-N-Out can be hit or miss with her, so that says a lot. Overall, I'm so glad we stopped here. Between the amazing food, fun atmosphere, and beach-town vibe, I'd happily go out of my way to come back. If you're anywhere nearby, don't miss this spot!

Everything was ordered EXTRA SPICY -- Level 5 through the online menu. When we got home, we took our first bites and immediately thought, "Wait... did they give us someone else's food?" No spice. Zero. Barely any flavor at all. This wasn't Level 5. This wasn't Level 1. This was apparently Level 0: Thai food for people who are afraid of black pepper. So we called the restaurant. The woman who answered told us, incredibly confidently, that they don't make their food spicy. Excuse me... what? This is a Thai restaurant. We have ordered spicy food from Swan Thai before. And, more importantly, your own online ordering system literally has spice levels, including Level 5. So either the online menu is completely meaningless, or someone in the restaurant has decided that customers no longer deserve to know what they're ordering. We asked to speak with a manager. Apparently, there was no manager. We asked for the owner. We were told the owners "come and go as they want." So who exactly is running this place? Is it just a group project where everyone shows up, does whatever they want, and hopes nobody asks questions? The food was so bland and disappointing that we barely ate it. And honestly, after the ridiculous phone conversation, we didn't even have much interest in finishing it. What makes this worse is that I used to like Swan Thai. That's why this was so disappointing. Restaurants can have an off day, but when the food is wrong, the online menu contradicts what an employee tells you, and there apparently isn't even a manager available to address the issue, that's more than an off day. Swan Thai, you used to be much better. Somewhere along the way, the food lost its flavor and the customer service apparently lost its direction. I won't be making the mistake of ordering here again.
