I was feeling I needed some Pho tonight and dropped in on this small restaurant on my way home... I ordered the #1 Combination Pho on the menu and wasn't disappointed, also I wasn't blown away either. It was tasty but not as naturally flavorful as I have had from other places. I ordered a large bowl and felt I was actually served a small bowl, as compared to other Pho restaurants I have eaten at. Nothing really wrong with this place, it served its purpose and sufficed my craving... it's just not considered a "must go" for me... restaurant is clean, service is quick.. not very busy, at least when I was there. We came here for lunch because our co-worker wanted to try out authentic Vietnamese food. We all ended up order the rice plates (com bi cha suon thit nuong) or the vermicelli (bun bi thit nuong cha gio). I have to say that these dishes came out looking delicious and in fact, they were delicious. The eggrolls were very crispy. The meats was tender and had the smoky taste from the grilling. Fish sauce was a bit bland for me but still not too bad. I have not had their pho yet so hopefully will try in the future. Definitely a decent Vietnamese joint in South Bay. While it's not something I would choose over restaurants in Little Saigon Westminster area, it's still really good to see some authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the area, with limited options. read more

Nothing too special to see here, just good food in your friendly neighborhood area of Torrance. FOOD: #1 Beef Pho - (Recommend) Your standard go to with everything of: sliced steak, tendon, brisket, & beef balls. I enjoyed the balance of hearty rich soup and noodles. Good flavor that delivers Banh Mi (Pork) (A-Ok) Reasonable price especially for it's price. It's a good and fulfilling sandwich. We've been here twice in the past pre-covid, but stopped by Sunday afternoon (8/30/20) for a quick lunch because we were both craving Vietnamese food while visiting the love's parents. Called in to see if they were open & allowing outdoor dining just in case and he said they did have a couple tables outside for dine-in. Stopped by around 3:30PM and all the tables were full. We waited for approximately 10 minutes before someone left and for them to clean the tables. Waiter came out with water and menu's and we proceeded to look through even though we already knew what we wanted. I ordered (#33) the Shredded Pork Mixed w/ Pork Skin & BBQ Pork & Crispy Egg Roll in Vermicelli ($8.49) and the love got the (#4) Pho Tai Chin. ($7.85). My meal was huge! I didn't think that I could finish it all! When I first saw the shredded pork, I was iffy, but after trying it, it wasn't half bad! Their BBQ pork is bomb though! Everything was fresh and nicely plated. I devoured the entire bowl XD. The love was a little disappointed in his meal though. He said the broth was room temperate and there were only 2 brisket pieces and all the other meat were all just fat pieces :( [[normally it isn't like this though]] I wish they had more safety protocols in place like gloves, non-sharing condiments bottles, and etc. The waiter was super friendly though, great customer service. This was my first time at this establishment and I must say I'm impressed with the quality. I caught it around a good time and greeted within minutes where I was offered a table. A nice lady came with a menu and water for me and gave me some time to look at the menu. After a few moments the lady came back, which I had informed her it was my first time and she allowed me a few more moments to look over the menu. I eventually the #1 pho special which included beef balls and a variety of different meats with an addition of shrimp. Will say it was delicious. The establishment was quiet and very soothing where I was able to enjoy my pho in a peaceful setting. Never thought I'd have to leave a negative feedback after coming to this place for over 6 years, at least 2-3 times every month. We were there earlier today, ordered our usual pho and crispy egg rolls with lettuce. Found a big dead fly on the lettuce so we asked the waitress to come to our table. When she saw the dead fly the first response was: "What?! Again?!!!" Long story short, before we finished our meal and walked out of restaurant, neither the manager or staff had apologized for what we found in our food. I still tipped 15%. Only wish I've taken the picture of that big dead fly. If that's how they treat their regulars, I guess my family and I will NEVER go back again, ever. read more

It was a cold, rainy day in Socal (if you can imagine that), but the minute we walked into Saigon Bistro, the smell of sweet soup invaded my body and all was well. It's not a big place, but its very organized. Every table has a number and you're told what number to go to when you first arrive. There are quite a few things on the menu, but I just wanted soup and opted for the seafood pho. The bowl was pretty sizable and topped with a wonderful broth with shrimp, fish and squid, all cooked to perfection and sprinkled with greens and scallions. I tossed in the accompanying basil leaves and found myself in nirvana as I sipped my soup and chatted away with my friend. Btw, underneath all the wonderful broth was what seemed like a pound of vermicelli noodles. I wasn't in the mood for noodles but had I been this would have been one filling meal! As it was, it was all I needed to finish off my work day. I highly recommend this place and would gladly go back, especially on the occasional cold, rainy SoCal day. read more

It was a good portion and very filling. The broth was flavorful, and I liked the texture of the pho noodles here. I also tried the egg rolls, which were perfectly crispy. Service was quick. Really good Vietnamese food! I got #33- BBQ Pork Vermicelli with pork skin and egg rolls. Large portions! My husband got #3 large. Not sure if the quantity is really more than the small or if they just use a larger bowl but it was enough for him and my baby to share. He really like the broth and this will be our go to place for Pho now, much closer to home. Parking can be a bit tough because this year is a parking lot with Taco Sinaloa.
