I love this place! I'm a huge fan of fresh vegetables and they have so many dishes with great fresh veggie varieties. Many Asian places have gloppy food with frozen ingredients--not this place and that's why I love it. I recommend the eggplant with tofu dish or one of the curries! More frequently than I would like, this place is my go to for a quick take out pho lunch or dinner. They offer a very generously portioned pho that is quite good and should last about 2 meals. I almost always get their Pho Tai ("P2", steak pho with beef broth) since I am not a big fan of the tendon or tripe phos. I have also tried their Pho Bo Vien ("P3", beef and tendon meatball pho with beef broth) which was ok. My other favorite here is the one of the rice combos, Com Bi Cha Ga Nuong ("C5", baked chicken leg filet over rice with a marinade). The chicken skin is crunchy and flavorful. The servings are large. The few times I've actually eaten here, the service was decent and there was not a wait. Overall I give it a 3 because it is consistent, economical, and quick. I've become a regular here and it has become my favorite place for Pho or curry! I regularly get the green curry - it's delicious and lasts me about 3-4 meals! I've tried a few of their other curries and rice dishes and not one complaint so far. When a friend and I were in a hurry they were even kind enough to bring to-go boxes and the check with the meal! Come hungry! The food is really good. Not only do they have Vietnamese, but Thai AND Chinese. Sounds like one would be good and not the others. I've tried a quarter of the menu and haven't been disappointed. I've been craving pho for a while and this place was amazing! It's close to Emory and very convenient. My boyfriend and I ordered P1 extra large and sesame chicken and we were very full. My boyfriend said their P1 was smaller than before but the taste is still good, which is why I'm not giving Saigon five stars. I came here a few times before I stopped coming. My last dining experience here was disappointing because I order a seafood soup and come to find out the soup was very salty. The waiter had to try it himself before he believe me. After so, the chef remake my soup and fill with the canned chicken broth that made my dining experience disappointing. I have seen this place a few times but was turned off by its strip mall location and, for some reason, by the font in their sign. But after shopping at Eagle Eye bookstore across the street, I took advantage of my husband and son having a guy night to dine here without the boys. The restaurant was nearly full since it was Saturday evening, and except for two families and myself, most of the clientele appeared to be Vietnamese. Always a good sign, and I was not disappointed. I ordered pork and shrimp spring roll, and they were huge--twice as big as what I expected. For my entree I had the Hu Thiu Saigon, and it was great! The service was very attentive, the food was delicious, and the prices were more than reasonable. I left a 25% tip, and it didn't feel like enough. read more

It was ready for pickup when expected, though I agree with previous reviews that the broth is bland (tastes kinda just like salty water), but at least it didn't taste chlorine-ish tap water that I've had at some places. Lots of noodles, could've had more meat, and 1-2$ more expensive than buford highway. I like their Chicken on skewers, and their tom yum soup! Nothing extraordinary but fairly decent for when you dont feel like eating at home.

I grew up in little Saigon, so I'm kind of picky about Viet food. Saigon cafe gets it right. I'm bummed I forgot to take a photo of the meals... Sorry. I like how their menu provides cultural history of the food items. They also offer other Asian foods (such as Thai). All of the staff was friendly and attentive. I dined alone and was served by four different servers. I ate goi cuon (fresh spring rolls) as an appetizer. They were what I expected with ample portions of pork and shrimp. The peanut/hoisin sauce was delicious . For my main course I had the noodle salad, bun Tom Thit nuong cha gio. The pork was perfectly charred, to compliment the sweet and mildly spiced marinade. It included shrimp and an egg roll on a bed of sprouts/vermicelli noodles, alongside greens, cucumbers, and pickled veggies. The tangy fish sauce, to me, makes the dish (I added two sides). DELICIOUS!! The pictures in the menu don't do the portions justice, as I left stuffed. I will return! read more

i'm never quite sure why this place gets poor reviews, relatively speaking... on the other hand, i seriously only order one thing when i come here, and that's my bowl of P8 pho with tripe. my only real complaint with this is that the 10+ times i've been here, i've gotten a variety of service. sometimes the waitstaff is quite kind, other times, a bit rude. i wish they'd send out everyone's dishes at the same time rather than giving half the table. if you order pho, it will come quickly, everything else isn't too fast. their bubble tea is pretty darn good though, good selection of bubble flavors! read more

Had lunch there today. I got the lunch special stir fried vegetables which came with soup and egg roll. Hub got the pad thai. Everything was sub-standard -- either tasteless or poorly spiced. The veggies were fresh -- that's about the best I can say about it -- but they weren't cooked well and I didn't end up eating them all. It's not cheap either -- our lunch came to $23. The place appeared clean and well kept. Ordering was very easy and they have a good selection on their menu. The food, however, was aweful. We got massaman curry that smelled and tasted like pure butter. The chicken and beef in the massaman seemed like pre-treated goo and barely tasted like meat. The tom ka gai was basically pure coconut milk with a few raw mushrooms and the same mystery meat. It should not have been labeled tom ka gai on the menu. Overall, very poor quality food that could only be called thai at 4 am after a night of heavy drinking gets this place 1 star. I will not eat here again. read more
