I've been here... a lot. The coffee is strong but smooth. If you like coffee even a bit, it'll go down well. Rarely, it has a bit more acidity than its normal subtle sweetness, but it's almost always solid. Many opt for the egg or cheese foam, which aren't bad choices, but I much prefer the Banana (surprisingly, banana foam, yes) or Whip (coffee foam). The banana foam tasted strongly like banana when they first introduced the Famous Banana during the holidays at the end of 2025, but it has hardly tasted like banana after that first month, sadly. Saigon Coffee is hands down one of the best Vietnamese coffee shops I have visited! This spot is a local Vietnamese owned business located right in the heart of North Park. To get here, there is street parking all around the area. Wifey and I stopped by for our weekend matcha run and there was already a line out the door! Inside, they have some nice modern Vietnamese inspired decor and about 4-5 tables for seating. As for their menu, they are serving up some specialty Vietnamese coffee drinks, matcha, teas, and more! We decided to try the Matcha Latte and the Hanoi Egg Coffee. Both drinks were amazing with the perfect balance of sweetness, creaminess, and roast. Overall, we are glad we finally got the chance to check this spot out. Keep in mind that lines can get long and seating can be hard to come by if you come during a busier time, so plan accordingly.
