Finally tried this place out. Place is small and parking lot can be busy. The gentleman that took our order was nice. The lighting was a little to dim for my liking. We ordered a little bit of everything from fresh springroll,spicy wings,beef bahnmi sandwich to try and we each got pho (4 total) and 3 sodas. The food came out pretty quick. Let me start with the appetizers. The spring roll only came 4 total sweved with peanut sauce. The spicy wings came with 5 small pieces,which I thought was really small considering the price $8, taste was pretty good. The sandwich was good (I'd come back for this only). The pho which we ordered (extra meat) didn't look like there was any extra at all. I suggest to ask for it on the side to visually see what you are paying extra for. To be honest, I don't come for the pho, I come for the banh mi. Don't get me wrong, the pho is the perfect dish to compliment the banh mi, but the banh mi can hold its own. Whenever I feel under the weather, I place an order for a small chicken pho and a pork banh mi. It's usually ready after 10-15 minutes, which is great, but the parking situation is dire. I would recommend parking, then placing your order because unless you want to try to park in the cemetery next door, you will lose precious eating time trying to park! I absolutely love the fresh, crusty bread on the banh mi. The little bits that flake off make perfect little croutons for the soup. The pickled carrots are lightly sweet, without being overpowering and pair perfectly with the crunchy cucumber and jalapeños. I do tend to remove the jalapeño because they are usually mind numbingly hot, but they are great to drop in the bowl of pho. The meat is tender, perfectly seasoned and not fatty like some lower quality restaurants use. The pho is always nicely seasoned, but on my latest trip, it was HEAVY on the fish sauce and that really detracted from the other flavors. I would eat a banh mi once a week back when I worked in SF and if they had tasted like the ones at Saigon Pho, that number would have bumped up to at least twice a week! Lightning fast service and pretty decent food/flavors, a good option for pho in Vacaville. It was pretty quiet for a weeknight dinner and so we selected one of the open tables and were presented with the menus right away. It was a standard menu with a few appetizer options (egg rolls, spring rolls, etc), pho, bun, and rice plates. I immediately saw that my go to of brisket pho was one of the preset options so didn't need to look further. We placed our order and it seemed like just a minute later, the dishes were coming out of the kitchen. My regular pho bowl was quite big and I actually really liked the ratio of meat to noodles (in other words, lots of meat)! The broth was a darker brown color than I'm used to and definitely tasted different, but not in a bad way. Flavors were still able to satisfy pho craving. read more

I hate to give negative reviews, especially for a small mom-and-pop shop, but I expected better from this place. While Wifey was shopping at Vacaville Premium Outlets the whole day, I was getting hungry, and she wanted sushi. I wasn't it the mood and I wanted soup on a cold and freezing day. I scoured the app and this place looked promising due to the ratings, and it was the closest one. First, they didn't ask for any Vax card to enter, and the interior wasn't very inviting. There were other customers dining so we chose to sit in the back. The table needed some cleaning and was shocked and mortified how the chopsticks were just shoved in the compartment by one of the servers. It didn't look very sanitary. I ordered a pot of hot tea and placed them in a glass to "clean" the chopsticks. Wife ordered the Pho Dac Biet (rare steak, brisket, flank, tendon, meatballs and tripe) and I got the Pho Tai, Nam, Gan, Sach (eye round steak, flank, tendon and tripe) with a side of rare steak. I asked for egg noodles as a substitute, and it was accommodated. We also got a Cha Gio (eggrolls) for appetizers. First bite into the eggroll and it didn't taste fresh, and it actually tasted stale and off. The meat filling was also mushy so thinking it was just one bad piece instead of the batch, I tried another one and it tasted the same. When the side of rare steak arrived, the color didn't look too appetizing as half of them were browning. I should've asked for a replacement, but I was hungry and just powered on and placed them on by bowl to cook. As for the Pho, the broth was OK, if just a tad bland, but the proteins were definitely not fresh. The meat was hard, crumbly and chewy. Had to do a lot of chewing and the same texture could be said for the tendon and tripes. The only thing that saved the broth was the chili that I added to give it a depth of flavor. After "finishing" our meal, it was very unsatisfying since we expected better based on their reviews. Maybe we went on an off day, and I ended up paying for it a few hours later...if you know what I mean. Even the Viet Coffee I ordered to go for the long drive to another Outlet Mall in Livermore didn't taste right. The condensed milk also tasted off as it had a burnt taste to it. It was my first time trying this pho spot today but my husband has been here before and did not have the best bowl of pho due to the broth. However, because a friend of ours has mentioned this pho place is better than other places in Vacaville, my husband decided to give it another try and also have me try it for my first time. We came in and the place was clean. We were immediately greeted and seated with menus ready. We ordered pretty quick because we knew what we wanted already. My husband ordered the P1 and I ordered the P3 as well as Thai teas for each of us. The bowls of pho and Thai tea drinks came out pretty quick which was great and quick service! We love that. My husband tried his pho and was definitely impressed, saying that this bowl of pho was better than when he came in before. I tried mine and was also very pleased with the what I ordered. However, I did notice there wasn't as much meat in my bowl as I would've hoped but there was plenty of noodles, so a little off balance in my opinion, but I still ate it all because I love me some pho! I have realized the pho tastes different after recent changes in ownership. The prices have also went up and the service has just changed over all. About a month ago, I came for my normal lunch routine and saw a closed for family vacation on the door. I can understand a week but this was a whole month. This is my go to pho spot in town. As other reviewers mentioned, the parking lot can get very busy, especially in the evenings, but the food is great. They recently changed their menu item numbering so be conscious of that if placing a telephone order. We usually get the steak and meatball pho and the vegetable pho. I like that this place offers a vegetable pho that is flavorful with veggies (instead of including only soup and noodles - like another restaurant in town). The chicken banh mi is great and I also appreciate that they have a kids menu. The spring rolls are also very good. No complaints with anything we've ever tried. Service is very quick and efficient! It wasn't long before the place filled up. The place itself is small, but more importantly, it's clean. We like to try different things and share bites, so we got spring rolls, gyoza, & egg rolls. I ordered the Beef sandwich, and my mom ordered the pho with chicken. (She thought the chicken was bland) My sandwich was pretty good, and I love all the chili condiments to add that pop. Saw this restaurant on yelp and gave it a try. The pho was ok. The varieties of meat in the pho was in small portions. One little piece of tendon and one thinly sliced tripe. It felt like a small order than a regular. The fried eggrolls were small too but decent in price. The owner is impatient with customers and he was rushing us to order when we just sat down. Disappointing as a vegan/vegetarian. Came with a meat eating friend who said the food was bland. Came here on a Sunday around 11 am because of seeing that they had veggie options listed on their menu. When I arrived they said they were "out of vegetables," so I asked if they had spring rolls or any other food they could make with no meat or seafood. They said they could make the spring rolls with "vegetables only." They ended up coming with shrimp, no one ever came back to check on us, and we couldn't get anyone's attention so I ended up drinking water and watching my friend eat them as well as her own food. My iced coffee with condensed milk came when she was almost done with her meal. It was tasty, but very heavily iced - in the photo you'll see how much ice I had left when almost being done with my drink. I noticed vegetables also being prepped as we were getting ready to go, so maybe veggie options would've been available later in the day. read more
