Sunday drive to a Christmas farm activity. Afterwards we wanted to see what's restaurant is close by because we were hungry but we wanted a restaurant with a high rated review and Saikyo Kitchen was on top of the list. We were greeted from behind the sushi bar and told to have a set and someone will be with us. We didn't know what to order because I was excited that they serve Vietnamese and Japanese food but nervous at the same time . We just ordered something small. I had the squid salad and a Vietnamese sandwich. Delicious! The price is good.. the food is good... the service is fast. We will definitely be returning.

We were there for their happy hour menu. We ordered 5 sushi rolls. I liked eel roll and Mexican roll most. The other 3 spicy fish roll tasted a bit too vinegary. We got takoyaki balls with octopus pieces at the bottom. They were decent. The domestic beer was good price in happy hour. We had a bowl of deluxe pho from regular menu. The pro got good broth, meat ball, beef slices etc. It wasn't fantastic yet was decent. Service was good. The interior and furniture felt kind of old. It was an OK experience. For the convenience of all the essential Vietnamese and Japanese food under one roof, this place is still worth visit.

Wow! We are so excited that we found this spot. It's not often that a restaurant does sushi, ramen and pho to my liking. Their tonkotsu is legit. The pork belly was tender. The egg had a great flavor. We ordered yellow tail carpaccio and the Tokyo roll for appetizers. So good. Can't wait to go back and try the pho.

Hidden ramen gem in Tampa Ya'll stop gatekeeping this lowkey, chill, secret ramen spot in Tampa. Their tasty Spicy Miso Ramen has some of the tastiest broth, thick cuts of pork belly, and perfectly jammy egg. I just have to share with you. Locally owned and operated by young, innovative talent. Don't underestimate Tampa Bay local culinary prowess. Don't sleep on their Nagoya style Debasaki Wings, Takoyaki, Sushi, and Crab Rangoons either. The chillest lowkey spot and great service, I can see why everyone is gatekeeping this place.

I walked in today (Sunday) not extremely busy but noticeably short staffed and the waitress after 10minutes of waiting informed me only 3p rolls working; I decided to stay and figure out if the 4.6 stars were true. After I seated myself and another 30minutes I got to order the pho Doc biet/ deluxe; the meat came medium rare not my favorite for sure specially on a noodle, not hot enough for me, and presentation not there I'm being generous to give it 3 out of 10. I asked for the check immediately since I know it might take another 30minutes or so. the price was okay not expensive for the portion. I personally won't return.

3.5 Stars. Since this place is close to work, I decided to scope it out on a weekend to see if it needed to be added into my lunch rotation. Plenty of parking in the strip mall out front, and the restaurant is larger inside than it appears on the outside. I was one of two tables in the place at noon, but my entree took a surprisingly long time to come out. I thought their prices were high for lunch if one wanted sushi (which I did); next time I'll just have ramen or a bahn mi. I ordered the chirashi - basically slices of sashimi over sushi rice. It was served with a really good soup, and a salad beforehand. The chirashi was excellent, even if the pieces of fish were smaller than I am used to. All the fish tasted extremely fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. I loved that they added roe to the rice, instead of just serving it over plain rice. While the food was good, the restaurant was too warm, and service was a bit slow-I think I'll try takeout if I return.

Wow this is a hidden gem. Wanted to find something nearby and I was amazed. The food is fresh and awesome. Sushi was on point. And we are picky since we are from Hawaii. The tuna was fresh. Everything was great. Can't believe this place isn't busy.

Service is wonderful... the young lady who waited on me was perfect, very attentive. It is in small strip mall next to G Peppers Sports grill and tavern. They had the main portion of the restaurant closed off... probably not expecting a rush or anything, for Japanese / Vietnamese cuisine on a Sunday night. So I sat in the sushi bar area... kind of reminded me of a old diner for some reason. I ordered Escolar Sashimi as an appetizer. It was presented nicely, and was very fresh and delicious! I thought the pieces were a good bit smaller than my usual sashimi place, but the price was very reasonable... so not counting that as a bad thing. I ordered the Bun Thit Nuong (Grilled Pork on Vermicelli) as my main course. Decent serving of pork, and very tasty. Nicely grilled. The bowl had a lot of iceberg lettuce (all crunch and no nutrition or flavor). The bowl had a very small amount of basil diced up in the lettuce... that was rather disappointing, normally the abundant addition of fresh herbs really brighten this dish up. There was a adequate amount of rice vermicelli and bean sprouts. There were only like maybe three or four peanuts too... something else I found lacking. Odd thing... the Pickled Carrots and Radish that are normally served with many Vietnamese dishes, were salty... like they were salt brined, instead of the sweet/sour flavor I usually expect. Not sure if they forgot the sugar, or just added too much salt... but not really pleasant. I was considering the Creme Brulee they offer for dessert, and asked the waitress if they make it in house... and she said no. I asked if it was a frozen version that they thaw and torch, and she was very honest it... and said yes. So I passed on it. I am sure it would have been ok... just chose not to. I forgot to ask about the other offerings. I will probably go back, to try the Ramen... which I see many good reviews. We will see!

Heading home from Ybor City and saw this place. I had seen it before but never stopped. Since I needed dinner and never turn down ramen I thought I would give it a try. It was 5:30pm and the place was not crowded. There was music in the background but not loud or obnoxious. It was such that I thought it was Japanese music but could not be sure. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen, Spicy Tuna Roll, and the Tampa Roll. The sushi was to hedge my bet on the ramen in case it was not up to par. I placed a to go order because I needed to get home and do some work around the house. I'm going to pause here while I wait for my order. Well I got home and had the sushi first. The spicy tuna was excellent just the right amount of kick without losing the taste of the tuna. The Tampa Roll was okay not great. I was glad I tried it. Now the ramen was not as spicy as I would have liked it and the amount of meat was small for the price. It was good just not great. There is a small shop up the street from me that is better. With that being said I will go back but they only rate a 3.75 stars.

Saikyo Kitchen's Vietnamese food hits the spot! I got the beef shortrib rice plate and my boyfriend got the Bo Bun Hue. We ended up switching dishes and I was inhaling that soup broth. So flavourful. Service was very friendly and I vibed with the background music and cozy atmosphere. We also split takoyaki for apps. Creamy inside and crunchy hot outside. Perfection.

First test of a restaurant for me is the water they serve. Tells me a lot of how they view quality. The sever delicious filtered water and the server even filled my Stanley on my way out! Second time here, I found this place and came in and wanted to bring my husband back to try. He came in on his own and we laughed the third time we came together cus we both wanted to bring each other here! Place is delicious! Fresh and friendly service! Lots of to go orders so the dining room has a quiet atmosphere and open feel. All kinds of Japanese sodas beer and sake. The fish is so fresh and the sushi chef is so friendly he remembers you after one visit. We ordered the salmon carpaccio, tuna tataki, squid salad, chicken bahn mi, sexy man sushi roll, the spicy miso ramen with pork belly... everything surpassed any other place. Highly recommend!

Quiet, little place in Odessa with Ramen, Pho, sushi and more. Nice neighborhood option, not much ambiance, but food was strong. Spicy miso was actually too spicy for my taste but waiter was nice enough to bring me extra pork broth to dilute it. Overall a nice dining experience.

I'd seen this place while driving my cat to the vet, and really wanted to try it out, so we did last night The eatery wasn't terribly busy with sit down patrons, maybe 6-8 tables full of customers and a lot of to-go orders, so clearly, they've got a good thing We were sat near a little girl who was alone on her iPad at the back of the place and placed our drink order for tea. We got a flower tea and a green tea, both were good. We perused their menu and ordered a couple of different sushi rolls, including the shrimp tempura, the Kentucky roll and a bagel roll, as well as some sashimi and a pork dish served with rice. There was a bit of wait, but that was fine. The food, when it arrived was delicious! The sushi was fresh and tasty, and I really liked the fried scallions on top of the shrimp tempura roll. So good! The pork dish too, was more flavorful here than at other places, with their seasonings were scrumptious. So.with all that, why not 5 stars? We were sat next to a little girl with an iPad, this would normally NOT be an issue. We understand that sometimes you have to bring your kids to work. Sometimes it can't be helped. That being said, the child had the worst case.of ipad ADHD and kept moving thru their selections, the volume kept increasing until that was the only thing you heard in the eatery. Other customers were looking over in that direction as well. It could have been helped by earphones. I know that I'll grab a few brand new pairs from dollar tree in the future, so I can help the situation, but it really led to people being uncomfortable. We will come back, the food was amazing but if sat next to a lone child, I'll ask to move.

The staff and owner were very friendly and personable and the food was even better! I ordered the gyoza (this is fried and the filling is an in-house recipe pork filling, might be different from your regular gyoza but still yummy and worth trying), and had the Nigiri Flight which was amazing! I'll let the picture speak for itself, but you need to come in and try it for yourself. The fish was fresh and each one was better than the other. I even loved the tamago (which they prepare in house) and I normally am not a fan of it. All the nigiri were well sized and super filling, I could have done without the dumplings and the salad, and still would have been more than satisfied. The place is also very well decorated and styled, I truly think they hit all the points with food, service, and ambience. You can tell the owner puts his heart and soul into this place and it shows in the food and your time there. It was a very pleasant experience and I am so happy to have found Isekai!

We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and even though we had an 8pm reservation, we waited almost an hour for our table. The tonkotsu ramen was not one of the best I've had and the pork belly skewer was overcooked, dry and tough. The Japanese sausage skewer was really good and juicy. The izayaka espcial roll was good, but nothing wow. The fantasy roll was my biggest disappointment, it was way too big and uncomfortable to eat and I didn't really enjoy the flavors. If you're looking for the American hibachi experience, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is the way to go. I…read morewill jump around a bit with this review as I am returning to writing, but hope that it makes sense as you read it. The restaurant is located conveniently within the Grand Plaza of the Carrollwood area in northern Tampa. The parking spaces in the front does get crowded and full rather quick, however there are plenty of spaces in the back that isn't too far of a walk. The entrance/main door is actually off to the side under the hard structure roofing - you walk through a small section of the outdoor seating patio to get to it. It must be noted that this review and experience is based on the following factors: - The review is written strictly for the American hibachi experience. The restaurant does offer other a la carte options if you don't want the "showmanship" and flair with your dining experience. - A reservation was made through Open Table. I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand. This was purposeful and intentional due to the occasion, and I wanted to make sure we were locked in. I feel that this also made for a smoother seating process as the restaurant had to prepare the table and chef. All in all from arrival to getting seated, we waited no more than 10 minutes after our entire party was present. - There were 12 individuals in our party which also accounted for the prompt seating (I believe you are paired and tetris'd with other guests for smaller parties). 12 is the max that a table can host - anything more will require multiple tables. I want to emphasize at this point how Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is suited for large parties. Most, if not all, the individuals in our party have not had American hibachi for as long as we can remember. We also had children in our party. Taking this all into account, it turned out to be the perfect venue for any type celebratory events (business outings, birthdays, baby showers, etc.) I could not recommend this place enough if you want an "easy winner" to delight the group. Now let's talk about the food and the chef. The quality and taste definitely exceeded our expectations. The food was cooked perfectly and the meats were extremely tender and flavorful. While not the most animated of the chefs there, our particular chef was very attentive to our needs. He ensured that our meal was enjoyable and delicious. Pricing-wise, you're looking at an average cost of $30 to $40 per individual. Overall service was not bad - the most important part was that everyone was welcoming and friendly. Overall, I would highly recommend Kobe Japanese Steakhouse if you are the one planning for a large group!

I really don't get the hype around Kobé Japanese Steakhouse. To me, it feels like a poor knockoff…read moreof the king of Japanese hibachi, Benihana. The biggest issue was the food. They use an exorbitant amount of butter, salt, and sauce...to the point where it overwhelms everything. Better make an appointment with your cardiologist after this meal! I will give credit where it's due: Ty, our chef, was great. He kept the table entertained and laughing with his jokes, and he was easily the highlight of the experience. I know Kobé has a very loyal following, and clearly plenty of people love it, but it's just not for me. I'll be skipping this place in the future and sticking with Benihana when I want hibachi.
