    Kolaches

I wanted to love this place but I ended up feeling kind of meh about it. I went in close to closing (my mistake, didn't know hours but the doors were unlocked and open sign on, other people going in). They must have been cleaning bc the place smelled very strongly of bleach. The kolaches were served to me room temp even though I asked them to be warmed. The ones with eggs in them had little flavor and the eggs were overcooked. The jalapeño popper flavor is the only one I would eat again, and there was a sausage one I'd like to try. The kolache outer bread was soft and sweet as you would expect. Overall I was not super impressed - they could change recipe/methods of cooking for fillings and would improve tremendously. Friendlier service goes a long way.

This was my first visit. There was plenty of parking on a medium sized lot. The entrance didn't look to be wheelchair accessible. The lobby is small, but I was greeted on entering. The girls behind the counter seemed sweet, but not knowledgeable about the flavors. I got 6 kolaches. The flavors can be a little bizarre, like a Mac n cheese with brisket, but the dough is sweet, so the sweetness makes it a bit more appetizing. I'll have to update as I try more of the kolaches!

Catered breakfast this morning from Saint Louis Kolache. Way better than what we had from Panera, not just in taste and such, but they were on time with it and it was a great looking spread. Donuts and kolaches. And if like me, you're not familiar with kolache, it's a stuffed and baked bread roll. We had a great variety of the breakfast classics - egg, sausage, bacon, ham, veggie. Plus apple, blueberry and raspberry. I did not eat an entire one, but I did try one and then ate the stuffing. Delicious, a little sweet, perfect food for eating while driving as it's entirely contained and not drippy. If I wasn't on a keto diet, I could see myself eating a half dozen of these delights. Small shop outside but big flavor inside! Kolaches are a a Central European stuffed pastry with a sweet dough. From Pappy's Brisket to Gooey Butter Cake, they have every option you cant think of here. Each location is independently owned and operated and they state they are "constantly experimenting with new flavors and combinations, and are not beholden to a corporate headquarters." A great local find

I love kolaches! They are like homeade rolls filled with comforting goodness! Went to this location for breakfast. I have signed up for their online rewards but never get emails from them :( I do get emsils from Kolache Factory and STL Kolache will sometimes match the coupon offer (when I've asked they say it depends on the coupon). During this visit I had 3 kolaches (bc i love them! 1 us actually plenty for a breakfast lol) sausage abd gravy, sausage egg & cheese and philly cheesesteak. They were all amazing! Its hard to choose they have so many tasty choices! Service here is average. The employees never seem happy to be there, but they are efficient and accurate with orders.

A nice location but many choices to choose from as I am used to the Cedar Rapids , IA kolaches taste than this similar bantam bagels New York style. Give this a place a try as tasted the salmon one which was good but tempted to come back. - I don't think so but I see many customers coming in as they got their taste buds for this place! My first and last possible but hurry for the locals!

These kolaches are such a hit. There is a variety of savory as well as sweet options. I have had these a few times at work as they are easy to get in big boxes for events. I came here for the first time in person to get my own and I had a hard time deciding just a couple to get. The Merica kolache is my personal favorite because it has sausage eggs gravy and hash browns which I haven't seen before in other kolache shops. The prices are also fair for the quality and size of the kolaches. The staff was nice and they asked me if I wanted my kolaches warmed up fresh which was super nice. The cold brew that they serv is also great! I just wish they were open a little later because this is something I would eat at any time in the day!

Small grab-and-go place with a large variety of Kolache's in both sweet and savory varieties. A couple of seats. Kolache=dinner roll stuffed with some sort of filling. Have lunch and breakfast options. Can heat up the Kolache's. I tried the egg and cheese & the 'Merica (egg, cheese, breakfast potatoes, & sausage). The Merica I really enjoyed and was much better than the egg & cheese. Regular and decaf coffee.

Ham, Egg, Cheese and Jalapeno, delicious

This little place in St. Louis county is great for a good pick up for breakfast and lunch with great eats at a affordable prices with friendly service. You can't go wrong here.

I have seen this come up on my yelp several times when I'm in St. Louis but today was the day. They are incredible pockets of flavor. I had the bacon jalapeño and egg, sausage and gravy, sausage and egg, and the gooey butter. All 4 hit the spot and delivery of the product was perfect and the Temp was spot on.

I never have leftovers when I bring in other treats...

To be a last minute find a place... that was close by, easy to get into and DELICIOUS! This place checked all the boxes. We went in around noon. We bought parking close to The Arch but it didn't start until 2 PM so we were trying to time it just right. We were here just over 1 hour. It allowed us plenty of time to eat and drive time to Arch parking. It wasn't on purpose but we both ended up with chorizo. I had a chorizo bowl with sunny eggs. I did want some fruit so I ended up with a side of fruit and 2 biscuits. The biscuits are droolworthy; Not enough places make biscuits like that. My wife ordered the chorizo omelet. She loved it but had plenty to take for leftovers. They have a small parking lot but we parked on the nearby side street and didn't have an issue. I thought we'd have to wait for a table but we didn't have any wait. Maybe this is a hidden gem of St Louis. It certainly is to us because it was so tasty. This place deserves all the business. 269 percent worth checking out! What are you waiting for?

Not only were we not granted an exception on the checks as consolation for not being able to order french fries, there was no indication that this had even occurred to our server. This is precisely the level of temerity we need to inculcate in young women in our society, and I'd encourage her to apply for a job at the women's-only sports bar a few doors down if and when it ever opens. It'd be tragic if she wasn't there if and when I return, but I'd appreciate the fact that she has a greater mission. Hopefully, the deep fryer is working. It being out of commission naturally limited the number of things on the menu we could order. We were only told that we couldn't order anything that required a deep fryer, not given a modified menu or anything. I started going through each item and imagining how it might be prepared, but I couldn't muster the psychological bandwidth to continue. Hit my Cash App if you appreciate the amount of unpaid emotional labor I was compelled to contribute. It occurred to me that I might just get a burger and a side salad, but then I saw that they carry a club sandwich. I love a good club sandwich, and I figured it might make for a light, refreshing alternative, given the weather. There's an option to get a cup of soup for $1.50 extra as a side with your sandwich (no, they didn't offer to eat the charge), and I figured that might go well with my sandwich. I was kicking myself when they brought out someone else's order with the side salad. It looked really good. The Frisco Burger, or whatever they're calling it, looked good too. Meanwhile, the BBQ Beef & Cheddar Soup--the soup du jour (that's French), according to Flo--looked gross, like something your dog might cough up. But damn it was good! It was more beef than anything else. A large bowl of it might actually be too much food. (I'd still eat it, natch.) The overall flavor profile was along the lines of a good french onion soup. It was a reminder that I need to be ordering soup in restaurants more often. I wish the club sandwich was cut into little triangles and fanned out on the plate in some elaborate configuration, like at a place where rich old ladies have lunch, but I guess that wouldn't have been in keeping with the theme. Instead, it was served on the world's thickest Texas toast, with the world's dullest steak knife protruding from its center. This sounds like hyperbole, but I may have honestly been served the equivalent of half a loaf of bread. It was much more bread than I required, but at least it was fresh and delicious, as were all the other ingredients. Turkey used for sandwiches is almost never remarkable, but this was surprisingly great, as good as anything you'd get served as an entree unto itself. Nothing about this place suggests that it would have such good food, but it just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover. The decor, the overall vibe and the lack of hospitality might not be for everyone, but don't let that deter you.

The quality has not wavered once. I ordered what I always order: The Combo (fried eggs, maplewood smoked bacon, cheese, brioche toast), extra egg, extra bacon. Most kitchens treat a fried egg as binary (runny or ruined). Songbird has mastered the middle register: lacy edges with a yolk that stays glossy and intact right up until the first bite. I ordered them over hard, and they came out a bit closer to over medium, but they were just as good as I wanted them to be. The bacon carries real smoke. This is a decadent sandwich, big enough that half of it would make a light breakfast; I wasn't remotely hungry after one, the second half was indulgent. The service made the move too. The hostess still recognizes returning customers, and the bigger room finally lets the dining experience breathe. The service at the table could have been a little warmer as we've had it the past, but it is still professional. I was there with two close college buddies, one of whom declared his latte excellent.
