Not bad. Had a reservation for Saturday night, which was honored, but strangely unnecessary. The place was less than half full at dinner time at high tourist season. Drinks were fine, but strangely, they didn't have the ingredients for one of their listed cocktails, and when discussing an alternative with our server, she said that she could make that one. She could? No bartender in a restaurant with a full menu of cocktails. Weird. Appetizers for the table were fine, the usual dumplings, etc. Everybody seemed to enjoy their main courses, mine was cumin lamb, which was tasty and very spicy (yay), the lamb could have been more juicy and tender, but it was dry. My wife ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, it came out nearly well done. Ugh. Service was attentive and friendly. Three stars, good but not great, and with many many outstanding choices at the beach, we will likely not be returning. read more

I had not been there in several years....(2006 or so). And to my greatest disappointment yesterday I noted a decline in quality of food and service. The food and vegetables were cut coarsely, there was no finesse in the preparation of salads which were tasteless ....no possibility to swap soups without being charged extra....It seems that the management or even ownership have changed since my last visit, to make this a less then average Chinese restaurant. So sad to mess up something which used to be so nice. read more

Some of the best Sushi I have ever had! The sushi chef was very nice, our waiter was FANTASTIC! My mom and I went on a wednesday night that was not very busy. We practically had the whole sushi bar to ourselves! The sushi menu was not very large, it had your basic rolls and some speciality rolls. I would have liked some more choices but it was good none the less. This is a must visit if you are looking for some delicious fresh sushi! read more

Waiter was amazing. He was fast and keeping up with the entire bar area and it was busy during the happy hour. Food was ok: i had the surf and turf: my steak was a bit over cooked and dry as well as the lobster. My wife had several apatizers which she said were all good. Drinks were very good. The atmosphere was good but we were both disappointed that they don't have fried rice with any of their meals....only white and brown rice. :-( read more

I stopped at Saketumi this evening, wanting to give myself a sushi treat for my birthday. I've been there before and thought it was pretty good. I was alone so I sat at the sushi bar. Ordered miso, 3 kinds of sushi, and dragon roll. The quality isn't fabulous but is acceptable for a locale with good fish and an affluent, but not necessarily well- traveled clientele. So on food quality I'd give Saketumi 3 stars. When I got my platter the quantity of pickled ginger was pretty sparse. I couldn't catch the eye of any of the sushi chefs -- the bar is well below their prep area, that's understandable. So when a server came up to the bar, standing right next to me, I asked her to ask for more ginger for me. She was right there, interacting with the sushi chefs, but she refused to relay my request. Said she'd get my server! To come back to where she was just standing to make my 5 word request! (Never mind that she didn't even bother to ask my server.) I'm a middle aged woman dining alone. I felt invisible. Ya know what? Sussex County is full of women who look just like me. We'd like some respect too. read more

For starters - taken to table but it was not cleaned or setup. No big deal, just an omen or foreboding. Miso soup to start - nice idea adding clams. Typical out of package grocery store soup - add boiling water with already cooked clams. The soup as served was lukewarm, watered down weak and the taste of the clams conflicted with the taste of the soup. Pad Thai was lame. The cooks should hit a Thai restaurant for some inspiration. Tempura Vegetables; hmm, tastes a lot like french fries and calamari. Could not taste the vegetables. Beer (Singha) was refreshingly cold. Should have stuck with Sushi/Sashimi, but don't put the other stuff on the menu if it can't be executed correctly. Will be a while before we return. read more

Went there today while on vacation in Rehoboth. Took my nine year old autistic grandson. He yelled in the restaurant and we were getting dirty looks from the staff and a guy actually got up and told my grandson to sit down. So we just left. Some of the best sushi we've had since moving to the east coast 1.5 years ago. What an amazing surprise to find this restaurant right next to our hotel. Ocean-fresh fish beautifully arranged and garnished with some unusual touches. I'm sad writing about it because we live in Delco, PA and this wonderful restaurant is too far for regular visits. Needed to make a quick lunch run and stumbled upon this place. I had the Korean BBQ bento box, the portion was bigger than I thought! Very filling and satisfying. The Korean BBQ ribs were cooked perfectly. My friend had the Alaskan roll and spicy tuna roll, which were good but nothing too special. The additional spicy mayo that my friend asked were $1 extra but was a big size compared to other places I've been too. Good meal, reasonable price! read more

What an amazing experience!! I have been a local resident in Rehoboth for approximately 5 years. I'm​ a mother of four beautiful girls and decided to be a "Stay at Home Mom" after 30 years in the restaurant industry. I have worked with Top Chefs..(actually the ones on Bravo TV) and I think my expectations are too high and sometimes it's not a good thing when the kids just want a burger. I can be quite a pain because I can probably make it in my kitchen. The truth of the matter is...if you can find a place with a great atmosphere, excellent food, fresh sushi, top notch service, and a kid friendly environment.... I found it. We went for my birthday and I was overwhelmed by the service and the manager had approached our table several times to ensure we were having a great dining experience. Thank you Nichole. Great service and great sushi as always from Saketumi. People always talk about the "other" place at the beach which is fine but I'll always take this place over there any day. Went to this place and enjoyed it a lot! Lots of different choices. Was kind of disappointed we couldn't get bento boxes at all, was only able to get them on the week days. Suggestion would just have a higher price for a weekend. Considering we're only here for the weekends most of the time we won't even get to try the bento boxes! But anyways for my friends 21st birthday we decided to come down to the beach area, Saketumi is a beautiful building I've passed for years so we gave it a try. The menu was full of treats! Didn't know what to try first! The drink menu is a little small to the eye but they have a full bar and extensive wine list. I ordered the Mango Cosmo( not very sweet but it was mixed perfectly) and the birthday girl got the Blood Orange Martini which was great! We ate the Chesapeake Bay roll as our appetizer. I ended up sending my pad Thai noodles with jumbo shrimp back because it wasn't doing it for me, the noodles weren't like pad Thai I'd had. Kaylyn took it without hesitation and recommended a few of her favorite choices. I ordered the wontons instead, which were incredible!!! The pineapple rice was filling for us both to share. Overall I enjoyed almost everything about Saketumi! Only negative comment I have is the manager didn't stop at our table to see how was our food even though we'd sent something back and she'd asked a few tables around us. It looks like we just had a bad night. Sushi was flat tasting, and the whole experience was pretty bland.

We went for happy hour. The menu was limited and he rolls were just ok. We started with the crispy crab dumplings and the coconut shrimp. We also tried the asparagus, sweet potato, crunchy spicy tuna and Philadelphia rolls. Eh, nothing special. If we would go again I would want to order off of the regular menu. It seemed like all of the house specialities were on the other menu. Skip the limited happy hour menu. read more
