This visit was disappointing from start to finish. The food quality was poor, and the service was even worse. Given the prices and the restaurant's reputation, we expected far more. We won't be returning. There were a few positives. The Wild Mushroom Rigatoni with chicken was flavorful and well-prepared. The filet was cooked to a proper medium-well, and the vegetables and potatoes were enjoyable. The bar also offers a solid drink selection, including full bottles of wine and champagne. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives. The oysters were tasteless and dry. The halibut was overcooked and extremely dry. Both desserts lacked flavor and moisture, and tasted like frozen, store‑bought items. The worst part of the experience was the Prime Rib. We ordered it medium‑rare, but it arrived well‑done. For a steakhouse, that's unacceptable. When we mentioned it to the waiter, he dismissed it by saying, "You must have gotten an end piece," and made no effort to correct the issue. We were simply left with an overcooked entrée. Overall, the lack of care and effort was very disappointing. A real shame.

The food was incredible!!! The steak was perfectly cooked. Great Ambience. Had a last minute work lunch and they accommodated and made adjustments with ease. Service was on point. I thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

The food and service here is impressive! Inside is super nice, clean and has a sleek modern look. Absolutely love this place. We came on a Friday night and sat in the bar area. They had a musician who was singing and playing all the instruments, he had the best vibes. Great selection of music and great energy! Made the whole place had fun happy vibes. Now our service was on top of everything! Water refills as soon as our cups got low, cleaning empty plates right away. They bag the food up for you too. The food is absolutely amazing! The Spin a Yarn Prawns were incredible! Pork chop was huge and the side of apples it came with really topped it off. Salmon had a nice crisp on outside but super moist inside well balanced. Coconut creme pie definitely tasted fresh and homemade. Love everything we ordered and still amazed of this place. Delicious food, good music, fair pricing, excellent service what more can you ask for!

Stopped in for dinner on New Year's Eve. Arrived early for a 5:00pm reservation. They had a special menu for the night. I had the prime rib which started with a salad, pasta, the main course then a dessert. Service is always great! Food was delicious and prime rib was good but not as tender as i like. All in all a great evening. Had I known about the party I might of registered. We usually go to Sakis Spin A Yarn once or twice a year.

Hands down, one of the most epic nights out we've ever had! If you're anywhere near Warm Springs, CA, drop everything and get yourself to Spin-A-Yarn Steakhouse for their Comedy Night. This place is a hidden gem that delivers on EVERY level: jaw-dropping food, killer service, and laugh-till-you-cry entertainment. We kicked off with their specials and... Oh. My. God. We started off with Oysters Rockefeller. The waiter suggested a splash of Tabasco to add a touch of spice. They were the bomb: hot, delicious, cheesy and well garnished with spinach. My giant veal chop was a massive, perfectly seared beast, served with roasted mixed veggies and creamy mashed potatoes swimming in rich mushroom gravy. My partner went for the prime rib--tender, juicy, and cooked to absolute perfection, with a loaded baked potato and fresh veggies on the side, plus spicy horseradish and piping hot au jus. I've provided some pics to showcase these amazing dishes. We paired it perfectly: she sipped strawberry daiquiris, I started with a smooth glass of pinot noir, then cruised into IPAs for the laughs and crisp Modelos for the after show. The host, Jeremey Curry, warmed up the crowd for four comedians. Headliner Ellis Rodriguez and the whole crew had the entire room in stitches. Bryant Hicks was a strong opener for Ellis with headliner vibes. We laughed our asses off... and got pulled into the show! One comic riffed on being invited to hang with "white folk" and throwing axes, scanned the crowd, locked eyes with me, and hit me with: "Of course this mother fucker has... look at this Viking fucker right here!" (Guilty as charged--long white hair, long white beard, the whole Norse vibe). The crowd lost it, and honestly, it made the night legendary. But it didn't end there. There was still live music in the main room by the bar. They were unironically playing the 'white anthems' mentioned by one of the comics during their bit (Sweet Caroline and Don't Stop Believing). After a few songs, we spilled out onto the awesome patio, fired up some smokes, sipped a few Modelos straight from the tap, and just vibed--chatting and cracking up with two of the comics till late. Pure magic. The comedy crowd energy and post-show hangout vibes were unforgettable. And yes, that patio is exactly the perfect chill spot for hanging out with friends on those cool spring nights. (We went in mid-January!) Don't miss out.

My buddy and I had the seafood pasta. I had the cream sauce and he had the red sauce both excellent. The wife had lamb and loved it.

About 10 years ago, Weekly went here for lunch and since retiring, I came back recently and was pleasantly surprised Saki he still owns the restaurant and has made wonderful improvements to the whole decor and vibe. If you wanna have that throwback feeling to classy restaurants with excellent service and food choices... This is a wonderful choice!!

The prime rib here was amazing. I asked for English cut and they were able to do it. Now I don't have to drive all the way to house of prime rib anymore. Taste the same, so yummy! The service here is really excellent too! Will be bringing my friends here so they can experience the amazing food and service. I highly recommend giving them a try. I was here during covid and it's was just okay, but I came back a few months ago during restaurant week and the food and service was excellent, but forgot to leave a review. But came back again last night because it was sooo good the last time I was here, and it was still soooo good so I had to leave a review now. It's like consistent.

Although I've lived a large part of my life in Fremont, I've never been to Spin A Yarn Restaurant- until yesterday! Even with a big sign, it's somehow easy to miss. Regardless, they have a private parking lot that is quite spacious. Even on a busy Wednesday evening, I was able to find parking easily. The restaurant is very cute. It has that classic, low-key, homey feel to it. It's a little dark and chill, which is what I like. They were very busy last night but we were seated immediately. A nice table for two that was just the right size near the firewall area. Our server was very nice, attentive, fast and informative. She was able to answer all of our questions without any hesitation; she really knew her menu. The food was magnificent. I ordered the eggplant parmesan which comes with a side of mashed potatoes and veggies. It was a good portion size and filled me up without feeling heavy. The bread brought to the table when first seated was to die for. We had a couple of glasses of wine that we thoroughly enjoyed. The server comes back and refills your glass from a separate, smaller glass on the table. That was pretty cool. Overall, I had a great experience here. The service was good. The food was good. The Christmas decorations were excellent. They had the Warriors game playing at the bar, making it easy to peek every now and then to see how the game is going. Just a good time in general. I plan to be back soon and often!

Karaoke night, the last Wednesday of every month!

I go there for karaoke nights the last Wednesday of every month. I wish you were more nights. The food is top notch ! People are very friendly ! I always have a great time there. It's a great place for a romantic dinner also, Carla West is the best sounding and the best karaoke host I've ever seen. I have operated my own karaoke company for over 20 years. Carla is the best.

The stunning decor, the delicious food, and the outstanding service continues to shine! The best restaurant in Fremont!

What can I say- yes- and yes again. I have been very lucky lately . Get the rib eye - get the rib eye again. You will be happy you did. I've been getting good service lately. I'm truly lucky. The waiter was helpful and he was right on the money with the rib eye. I don't eat big cuts usually. But this time . I splurged and I'm in love. Marbled and very juicy- the veggies are crisp and fresh. I will be back

It's crazy that I've watched this restaurant on Kitchen Nightmares (Gordon Ramsey's show) but haven't gotten to try it until now. TL;DR = The food is "okay". Service / Ambiance is great though. [[ Location / Restaurant ]] It's on the curve of Warm Spring's Blvd and the sign for the store is humongous so you cannot miss it. They have a large parking lot so parking shouldn't be an issue as well. The Restaurant itself was decorated very nicely for the holiday season and it was very lively inside. Lots of people at the bar enjoying themselves and everyone smiling and having a good time. I think there is definitely good vibes there if you choose to eat inside. Even though I was doing a to-go order, I thought everyone was very friendly and they made the process of picking up pleasant. [[ Food ]] As the TL;DR stated, the food is just alright. You can get variations of the same food at other restaurants that taste so much better. (E.g., House of Prime Rib has WAYY better prime rib than here). We ordered the following: 1.) Appetizers - Crab Cake 2.) Appetizer - Calamari 3.) Entree - Lamb Shank 4.) Entree - Prime Rib (market price) 5.) Sides - Mac & Cheese 6.) Sides - Garlic Fries The only thing I would order again here from all of the above is the Crab Cake. Even though you only get 1 Crab Cake for for $18, their Old Bay Mayo sauce for it and the actual Crab Cake itself was delicious. The rest, again, just tasted normal. The flavors were all there for each dish but there was nothing special about them and felt like it could have blended in at any other restaurant which is not great. You won't be disappointed by the food itself but nothing really stood out. The restaurant also tacks on a 4% state surcharge on your bill to keep up with the high COL. If you aren't a big fan of these "extra" charges, just giving you a heads up about it now. [[ Conclusion ]] Although I would love to give it a 5 star review for a local Fremont restaurant, I really think you can find better food elsewhere. If you are here for the good vibes and great service, I think this is a great place to go.

My ultimate birthday go-to for fresh seafood and steak!…read more Market Broiler Fremont has been my absolute go-to spot for birthday celebrations for years. When you want a consistently great meal to celebrate a special occasion, this place always delivers a solid 4-star experience. Here is why it keeps winning out over other chain options: The Apps to Start: You have to start with the appetizers here. They bring out that warm, fresh sourdough bread to the table which is dangerous because it's so good. Pairing that with their classic seafood apps like the crisp calamari or a shrimp cocktail sets the perfect tone for a birthday dinner. Fresh Fish & Steaks: For the main course, their menu hits the perfect balance. The fresh fish is always cooked beautifully, flaky, and high-quality. If you're looking for land instead of sea, their steaks are consistently juicy, tender, and seasoned just right. The Vibe: Sitting in the Pacific Commons location makes for a great, lively atmosphere that feels celebratory without being overly stuffy. It's a reliable local favorite that never fails for a birthday dinner. Great food, solid portions, and always a great time!
