We love this place! We've been going once a week for a while now and it's consistently delicious. We order the chicken bowl (both spicy and non) and it's always quality. I've read some complaints here about wait times...the food is always fresh so we personally don't mind waiting a little bit and would rather a freshly made meal vs something that's just preheated. They deserve to have a full house of non stop customers. Everything that I've tried has been fresh hot and cooked to order and none of it comes from a frozen package. This is NOT fast food! I loved the sweet and simple taste of the actual beef bulgogi. I actually went a further step and got it customized for extra beef!!! Hubby's dad really enjoyed the California Rolls, super flavorful in the middle and very thick rice, wrapped in the seaweed paper! Hubby really was craving something spicy, so we opted for the Nabe Ramen, and were offered two options: Mild or Spicy. The raamen's broth was the zestiest and very lemony. The curly raamen noodles were beautifully complimented by the green onion and pork. The vegetables were surprisingly piquant as well!! My honey's mom got this really nice and delicious Spicy Shrimp bowl as well and it looked similiar to the Nabe Raamen bowl! The shrimp were extra peppery and flavorsome, because of how fiery it was. The inside of the dining area is very petite, but family oriented! I absolutely felt that I was in a small cafe. Another mediocre option along Arapahoe. It is a Mom & Pop and they work hard. But, the food just isn't as expected. I had the Yaki Udon w/ grilled vegetables. The 'vegetables' were only cabbage and a couple shreds of carrot. The Udon was supposed to be grilled, that's what 'yaki' means, but it was not. Udon was cooked and drained and coated in sweet sauce, but not actually grilled. Also the salad that came with, was lettuce with a few more shreds of carrot and mayo for dressing. Kinda disappointing. The Gyoza had a good texture, but were advertised as vegetable AND beef -- :( no beef to be tasted or seen. No hot tea or any drinks besides cans and bottles in chiller. Finally! A legit place to have Korean (and some) Japanese rice plates, noodles, and soup! I have never been so happy to find an Asian restaurant that is authentic, delicious, and affordable here in Colorado - especially in the suburbs of Denver. Coming from the Bay Area, we were definitely spoiled to have joints only a few blocks away from home. It's been pretty difficult to find good Asian places around here so I've resorted to learning some recipes myself! So far we've been here twice and we plan on visiting at least once a week after a good workout at the gym (hey the food's pretty healthy so no guilt there!). On our first visit, the Hubbs and I had the small Spicy Pork bowl (aka Daeji Bulgogi) over brown rice and boy it was good -- and SPICY! The balance between the tender pork slices, crunchy veggies, and the fragrant rice totally hit the spot. It was a little too spicy for us both so next time we'll be asking for the sauce on the side. Also, they do have a kids' menu which isn't listed on their menu -- just ask. My son usually gets the Beef Bulgogi which comes with a side of rice and choice of a drink or miso soup. On our second visit yesterday, Hubbs had the Beef Bulgogi rice bowl with a side of Kim Chee, our son had the kid's Beef Bulgogi again, and I had the Bibimbap - which was deelicious! I've always heard about and watched videos on how to make Bibimbap but never tried it till then. It did not contain the usual ingredients like the bean sprouts, kosari, and a few other veggies but it didn't ruin the dish at all. Bibimbap is another rice bowl that contains a side of beef and veggies infused with sesame oil over rice and topped with an over easy egg. It also comes with a spicy sauce. You basically add your sauce, break up the egg, and mix everything in the bowl and eat! SO GOOD. It tasted even better with a few pieces of kim chee! Customer service-wise: we had two different ladies help us and they were both very polite. Oh FYI - although the restaurant's name is Japanese, the owners are Korean :) I can't wait to go back and try their other dishes - especially their soups when winter comes around! read more

Before Sakura, I had yet to find a place that satisfied my bibimbap craving...Sakura briefly whisked me away to Seoul with its marinated beef and spicy kimchi. I ordered the beef bulgolgi bowl with brown rice, small size, and a side of kimchi. My boyfriend ordered the spicy pork bento box. We both received a VERY generous portion of food, yet somehow managed to scarf down every bit because it was so tasty. When I notified an employee that my side of kimchi was missing, he apologized several times and immediately brought it out...it turns out they make it homemade. It's nice and cabbage-y, and is spicier than most I've had in the states with a great balanced tang. The bulgolgi tasted very similar to any I had in Korea, maybe a tad bit less marinated but oh so delish regardless. I crave this place so often. I am also a big fan that hot tea is served at no cost alongside the meal. For a meal under $8, this is one of my new favorite places for an Asian food fix! read more

From custom ramen dishes (you only pay for what you add on) to their spicy pork bowl and delicious hot pots. This place has a great variety to keep you coming back, but beware, you might find your go-to dish and stick with that. My advice, try everything at least once. This is a hidden gem that everyone should go to for lunch. Each time I go here I am helped by the nicest lady. She can answer any question you have and guide you to something you will like. I have had the super bowl which is half beef/half chicken. You can get the chicken half any level of spicy you want. The prices are also great in relation to the food you get. Good, but no shrimp in a seafood ramen was disappointing. Also, my ramen was served in a pot, I'm guessing the same pot it was cooked in. This made my ramen extremely hot, and my haste burned my tongue a little. It took a long time for it to cool enough to enjoy. My main complaint is that a Trojan condom ad played over the speakers because they use a free Spotify account for their ambient music. I'm no prude, but there were kids in the restaurant at the time.
