I've been to Sakura twice now and both visits have been fantastic! The lunch specials are reasonably priced and the food is consistently high quality. The servers are friendly, and the ambiance is quiet and relaxing--perfect for a casual meal. The first time, I tried the sashimi with a side of rice (for an extra charge) and it was delicious. On my second visit, I had the two-roll special with Alaska and Philadelphia rolls--loved that there wasn't too much rice on the rolls. My husband had the hibachi steak, which came with fried rice and flavorful ginger and yum yum sauces. Everything was excellent, and we'll definitely be coming back!

We went here while visiting Los Cruces . We went for dinner on a Friday night . They were busy but we got a table right away . The service was good . We ordered the Egg & Vegetable fried rice . This was really good had broccoli , peas carrots . It was a big serving that could be shared . We ordered the Katsu chicken. This was tender & breaded crispy . We also got 3 sushi rolls they were very good & big . The menu has a big selection of different options for sushi . The prices are good . I would recommend dining here . They have Coke products .

Food was great and staff were very helpful. Will definitely be back! Here you have spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, katsu chicken bento and hibachi shrimp with side of teriyaki salmon.

Great spot! I've been looking for a very decent sushi place here in town for over a year now. Hands down one of the better places. This was hard to find being from Bay Area of California this gave me the flavor the fill and helped with that craving for it. When we first walked in we were greeted with a "Good Evening, how many in your party and what are you interested in?" (Asking Hibachi or regular dining) The place was clean no trash or food on the floor. All the tables were clean no dishes from previous parties and NOT STICKY! Over all the prices were great. For the amount they serve. Remember FLAVOR is what's here. The seating is comfortable just a little tight ( in layout of floor) but over all great peaceful ambiance of the place. Your not over crowded by everyone talking or walking past your spot. Depending on where your seated you maybe able to get a show from the hibachi tables while they are cooking. The only thing I was disappointed about was women's bathroom, they only have two stalls both of decent size. However someone from earlier that evening drink too much saki and puked in the women's bathroom and didn't clean up after themselves. They should have told the employees about the mess they made in the bathroom) I told the lady upon leaving the restrooms. And they got to tending it rather quickly after I mention it to them

My sibling and I decided to have sushi for dinner. Coming from California, I didn't have high expectations but definitely wanted to fulfill my craving during this trip. We came with thirty minutes to spare since a lot of places tend to close early in Las Cruces. Of course since I'm not a local, it was something to adjust to but we were still treated with kindness and efficient service. Our orders came out super fast upon ordering. There was a few other parties that were doing hibachi so I was surprised at how quickly our orders came out. The food was good, my favorite would be the volcano roll because of the crispy exterior. I'm not a big fan of ponzu, so I didn't enjoy the blue crab avocado and uzumaki roll as much as I wish I did. However, the fish was fresh and delicious! Our server let us know that we can take our time eating and that there was no rush leaving. That was very sweet of them since there were multiple parties still present after closing. I would come back here again if I'm in the mood for sushi! They have other items on their menu as well if you're not a seafood person, and their portions are shareable!

This is my go to restaurant for sashimi! To get the best bang for your buck I would recommend coming in for lunch instead of dinner. I would also recommend this restaurant for a celebration dinner since they have party platters. Party Platter:4 stars While they are expensive they're a better price then ordering individual rolls or sashimi. They are also more decorated so it brings in a wow factor to a dinner. While the sashimi wasn't the freshest I've had it still tasted good and were sliced perfectly. Sashimi box: 4.5 Compared to the Chirashi I think this item gives a better bang for the buck while satisfying your craving for sashimi. However, the salad is a bit disappointing due to the dressing and is a bit underwhelming. This is my go to item when I come here. However, there is less sashimi then in the chirahi so if you want more sashimi I would go with the chirashi instead. Staff:4 stars The staff are always courteous but if you're seated upstairs there might be long stretches of time when you don't see them. Disclaimer: I am not rating this restaurant in comparison to restaurants in Las Cruces and not to restaurants in Houston or El Paso

You don't have to drive far for some good hibachi! Food is great and if you leave hungry then you did it wrong.

The menu is amazing! I ordered so much I forget what I even had specifically, I just know we started with Kalbi and ended with garlic chicken and had everything from crispy rice to spicy pork in between. The service was great! And we met the owners, Dennis and Ran, and expressed our gratitude for bringing such an establishment to the borderland! Can't wait to go back

Very clean establishment and good vibes with shoji screens and lighting. Our service was very good too! We explained how we have never been here before and our waitress explained in full detail the how to and their menu. She came back at a good rate and was very nice. Me and my partner got the standard course for two. It was around $68. That's a lot in my opinion for not that much food compared to a Korean bbq. The galbi short ribs for example, they only gave us 3. They couldn't even give us 4? Two each? That in general is also crazy small. The rest of the meats were flat pieces like brisket and little steak bits. That's not a lot of food. It looks like a lot but when meat shrinks it's just tasters. I'm not impressed with the amount I'm spending with the amount of food. It's honestly not a lot when you really break it down. We did try the mochi and me and my partner agreed that was probably the best mochi ice cream we have had. Plenty of options, very delicious and tasty. If you want some sort of BBQ experience, I would not come here as my first option. You're just wasting money when you can go to an all you can eat and order practically everything. If you wanted Individual plates of soemthing, for example the galbi short ribs for a plate was around $14. Cmon now. We wouldn't come back here. It was decent, too expensive for what you're getting. There's just better options to try. Thank you.

My wife and I ordered the chicken dumplings and two of the bento boxes (teriyaki). Everything was delicious and well prepared. The lunch bento box had your choice of meat, California roll, 2 dumplings, spring egg roll and your choice of rice for $12.95. The teriyaki chicken was delicious with a good overall sauce. Flavorful and left us wanting more. The sushi was refreshingly good and the rice was a perfectly prepared. Our waiter was very friendly easy going and very good. A definite must when visiting or staying in Las Cruces NM. We will visit again in the future.

So the food seems "clean" - no msg or other junk added. However, it was virtually tasteless. I mean, c'mon, add some garlic, onion, ginger, chile,... there're hundreds of options to add flavor. So yeah, food was bland. First time I got the chicken katsu bowl. The chicken was a bit bland, like the chicken itself had zero seasoning, not marinated for flavor, nothing. The breading was ok. Tempura was ok. Second time, I got Sweet and Sour Pork Soba. It wasn't breaded like most places, and that was ok, because I am Keto. But,... I was also a bit glad that there wasn't a lot of sauce, which is usually sugary elsewhere. However, the sauce in hand, was just like water with a little bit of redish something or other. Sweet and Sour is literally sugar (or SOMETHING sweet, like, perhaps, pineapple... ) and vinegar. This was a bowl of Soba with ten, maybe, 1/2" square chunks of tasteless pork, and 2 TB of cabbage. Bland. Unspiced. Boring. Would I eat there again? Probably not. Unless I was more in the mood for "clean" food, then tasty food. It IS possible to do both!
