Came here on a Friday night for dinner. Was quickly greeted by staff and sat immediately. We wanted to try everything on the menu because it's so extensive! Tons of items to pick from. Started with a yellowtail collar and garlic edamame. The highlight was the collar! 5/5. We ended up ordering a sashimi combo and the fish was fresh and was cut into hefty portions. 5/5 To get in a base we ordered assorted hand rolls and those were some of the thickest hand-rolls I've ever seen. Great portions and quality for the price. 5/5 Ended the night with a tempura udon. Simple but good broth as the last meal. 5/5 Overall this is a great local spot. Highly recommend. Walked in on a Sunday evening and was greeted by the friendliest staff. Service was quick and efficient, we never ran out of water or drinks, and the food was brought to us promptly and always with a smile. We started our meal with a variety of appetizers like garlic edamame, baked green mussels, and miso soup for everyone. They have a wide selection of rolls for everyone. My favorite roll is the Yellowtail Banzai and would highly recommend it to those who like spicy food and yellowtail. I like both so this was the perfect roll for me. If you can't eat raw fish, they have excellent baked rolls like the Lobster Volcano. And for those who were dragged to a sushi place against their will, their beef teriyaki was tender and flavorful. As I said, there is something for everyone. Overall experience was great! Delicious food, excellent service and plenty of parking. P.S. Don't go. Simple as that. Went on a Wednesday and the Sushi Bar was empty at 6:45 PM, not a great sign. Sat in front of one of two sushi chefs who were behind the bar. Greeted by a nice waitress who took our drink order but did not bring water or a hand towel to clean our hands before eating with them. Odd, but excusable. We first ordered two servings of Yellow Tail Belly, then moved to two orders of Kampachi. So far so good. Fresh and flavorful. Slice thickness good not great, pricing a bit high (~$10 for 2 pcs ea.) but its OC. Odd though that the itamae-san in front of us did not prepare our orders but the one at the opposite end of the bar. Our next call was for 2 orders of maguro. We received our 4 nigiri and upon bringing it to my mouth I smelled a not-so-faint "fishy" odor. Immediately said "NO" to my wife and put it down and informed the chef. He muttered to the other chef and they made us another 4 piece order while we both left to wash our hands (remember - no warm towels). The replacement order was clearly from a different piece of the fish (appearance was a different color) which I appreciated but upon raising the new piece to my mouth, the same "off" scent was present. Mind you I had clean hands and all I should have smelled was soap. When I sent the 2nd order back, the itamae who prepared it barked down the bar that we should have ordered the Big Eye ($20 for a 2 piece order) and that he just cut the block of tuna he served us that morning. To this I replied that I "didn't care when it was cut, RAW FISH SHOULD NOT SMELL LIKE BAD FISH, ever". Regretfully this is not the cause of a 1-star review ( it happens). Where things went from bad to worse. As we sat there contemplating ordering something other than the maguro, I watched the chef in front of me - as clear as day - peel off the tune from atop the rise that was just on my plate and in my hands and clearly smelled like it was bad and he placed it inside a roll he was preparing for one of the few unsuspecting diners seated at a table. THAT was a line that cant be crossed and certainly not excused. I rarely write reviews but bad raw fish + argument from the chef that served it to me + serving food from my plate to someone else after being told it was bad deserves a NEGATIVE 5 STAR REVIEW. Everything we had from the sashimi platter, to the hand rolls to the udon soup and everything in between was fantastic. We had some saké that was recommended to us by the owner and she was spot on. I also tried their nigiris, edamame, miso soup, baked mussels and sushi rolls. Each and every one of the hand rolls are jam packed and filled with a generous amount of fish. Their spicy tuna is quite a delicacy with the right amount of spiciness and flavor in a bite. Not to mention the nigiris here are flavorful and savory; the rice to fish proportion is perfect. Their sushi rolls are also a must try!! I highly recommend asking the servers for suggestions if you do not know what to try because they will definitely provide you with great and delicious options! They will be more than happy to give you their recommendations and the best service. Their menu has many different types of fish to choose from and non-sushi items as well. I also tried their salmon collar and udon noodle soup. The salmon collar was grilled to the proper temperature and texture. I visited this restaurant last Saturday to have dinner with my family after a long time. I used this restaurant since my niece moved in 2015. It is located close to my niece's house, so we used it often. But last Saturday was the worst. We arrived at 6:30 and was very busy because there were a lot of cows. It's a weekend evening, so it's natural to be busy and I understand. But it was 7:30 after an hour that we ordered and received our meal. Basically, when it's late, it's normal for the owner and the employee to come and ask for understanding that the food preparation is being delayed, but they didn't seem to be sorry at all, and they didn't say anything, and they were amazed by the way they were so brazen. I was so surprised by the attitude of the owners and employees of this place toward customers that I would never go again. Perfect example of a 4.5 Star restaurant. My wife and I came here for lunch and were very happy with our meal. Our server was quick, friendly and attentive. Our food came out quickly and was tasty and of high quality. We had yakisoba (beef), tempura appetizer, 2 rolls and 2 sashimi orders. All of it was good, but the salmon belly in particular was cut too thick, and was not pleasant in the mouth. The sushi was good, but not amazing. All in all, would 100% recommend and will return. Food was mediocre to poor. Sushi Rolls had too much rice and low quality meat. My teriyaki salmon was well overcooked. It was very dry.. almost jerky like. In terms of service, it was horrible. Other guests seem to be attended to..however we were completely ignored. We had to wave the waiter to take our orders, wave someone down for the bill, and then wave someone down to pick up our credit card. I got to visit this place last Sunday with my friends and I have to say everything from the food to the service was amazing. I was greeted and helped by all staffs, and even the owner Debora helped us tremendously with the menu. Food 5/5: Since I came with a group, we got the sashimi boat to try out their fish selections and did not regret it at all. The salmon and yellow was so delicious that I was sad when we cleaned it out. We also had their spider crab tempura and shrimp tempura that exceeded my expectations, both were well fried and perfectly cooked on the inside.
