    Medium Cheese Pizza

One of the best pizza places in the area! I ordered a Medium cheese pizza on a Friday night. The wait was about 25 mins, which I didn't mind since it was busy. I've gone here a few times now and they always seem to be consistent with their pies, which is great. The employees seem friendly and the whole atmosphere of the business seems very professional. The pizza was absolutely amazing as always! Definitely will look to try some other pies they have to offer. Highly recommend checking them out!

It's just ok, I try a new pizza place every time I travel to Jersey, and this one is middle of the road. The crust is just tasteless, sauce is good. This is not one I will go back to. All the edge pieces were lacking cheese.

Sal's isn't as good as it gets anymore. They're hardly even "good." The food I received the other day was just plain mediocre. I ordered my usual -- a large pizza and Italian hoagie -- and couldn't wait to have it once more after a long, accidental break from visiting my hometown pizza shop. I arrived, saw only the side and back parking spots were available, and parked in one of the side spots. Walked in, nearly hurt my back even more trying to shut the heavy door behind me in the wind (while a guy-patron looked on apathetically -- cute, thanks), and picked up my food. Walked back to my car, sat down, started settling the food in my passenger seat, aaaand a driver next to me slammed down on his horn. What the actual what? As it turned out, someone had double parked next to the regular line of spots, and since I was parked on the side, he couldn't get through to the back lot. But that was not my problem, and I do NOT appreciate being rushed...and it's very possible I rolled down my window to call him some not-so-nice words and to point out that I was legally parked, which he promptly ignored because I guess he was too pompous to care. But, unfortunately, it gets worse. When I opened the pizza box at home -- since I couldn't check it in the lot god-forbid man had to wait a second for a parking spot -- I noticed that the bottom was caked in flour. The pizza itself was just not good. Overly oily, bland, boring. Nothing like how they used to taste for years. As for the Italian hoagie, they blatantly ignored my request. If I say "Italian hoagie with JUST (emphasis on 'just') mayo and lettuce," you should NOT translate that to "please cake this baby in oil." Your oil is gross, Sal's, and my Sicilian grandmother agreed. As is the brand of meat you chose for your hoagies. I only ate a quarter of the hoagie, and the rest went in the trash. What happened to you? This was a true waste of $22! I won't make that mistake again. Such a shame, but at least I still have the fond memories from loving this place as a kid.

We ordered a large pizza with half pepperoni & sausage it was very good! I will definitely order again.

The food was very good & well priced. I've tried a few pizza places and can definitely say that Sal's is my favorite! If you're thinking about trying the wings- I would highly recommend them!

    This is happiness.

Seriously the best. We have been going there since the 80s. There just isn't anything better. They set the bar high and are tough to beat.

I placed my order online and only had to wait a few minutes when I was there. One thing I wasn't nuts about was seeing a bunch of fries already packed sitting under a heat lamp when I got there. A young gentleman was packing the to go orders who seemed a little flustered which made sense cause it seemed there was a rush happening, but wound up forgetting to give me the side of cheese sauce I ordered. I should have checked myself so it's a little on me, but I did make it a point to ask him if it was in the bag and he said yes. When I tried the fries at first, they were actually excellent. Perfectly warm, crispy, and salty however after sitting out only for about 5-10 minutes, they took on a texture of staleness which was disappointing but I suppose it's from already sitting out under the lamp. I feel like if they were made to order, they'd probably stay fresher a bit longer. I got the roast pork sandwich with provolone and roasted red peppers which was very good! The pork was seasoned well, a little peppery which I love. Roasted red peppers were good too! As much as I loved it, it was absolutely swimming in juice or oil from the peppers so it was extremely messy, but again, delicious! We also ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich called the hoagie which was great. They make a wonderful cutlet! I'd for sure come back, but maybe skip the fries next time.

Everything is housemade here. That's what drew me in for a meatball parm, which was very good. The hot roast pork is delicious. I have never had a roast beef sandwich this good before... Do not choose what to have in the order I did. I could kick myself for not having the roast beef a long time ago.

My girlfriend loves their Italian, but I opted for a turkey and cheese hoagie, and a chicken cutlet hoagie (suprimo). Listen, I get it now. These were great sandwiches. They had so much flavor for the simplicity of the ingredients on each. The cutlet had great, homemade taste and the sweet roasted peppers were the chefs kiss. The turkey and cheese had the right amount of everything on it. The only thing I've noticed both times I've been there is that the seeded rolls are significantly harder than the non seeded. I'm not sure if they just sat out a while, but regardless it didn't take away from my experience, just something I noticed. Service is always quick and kind, and the inside has that old deli feel to it with some booths to sit in. Good quality flavor is always going to have people coming back!

Since when do you have to tell a deli that you also want lettuce, tomato and onion? Or, if it's not automatically included, ask the customer if they want it on their sandwich. I will continue to get their macaroni salad as that is elite. Other than that, I'm done with them.
