The food is usually pretty good, but I always avoid the dressings because they are full of seed oils, which are awful for your insides. The business tries to make it all seem healthy, but it's not! So be cautious. Also, the wait is typically really long. I've waited in the drive thru for more than 30 minutes on several occasions. It's not like there are 100 cars, it's usually more like 7 or 8 cars. Seems like they could be way more efficient with getting orders out. I pulled up to the window one time after waiting way too long in line and I saw two people just standing there doing absolutely nothing. One of them was on his phone and stretching. I just sat there, mind blown. I guess that's what you get when no one is really managing the place. I think it's run mostly by teenagers, so not surprising that they are super slow. The food is usually good, but the service is always sub par. It's disappointing because there aren't many options around here to get healthy food in a drive thru. I've had their salads several times. The first time super good, everything fresh, above board and in good proportion. The second time it was still good, however, too much greens. Nevertheless, everything was still fresh. Now the third time, that was a little disappointed. Too much green And not enough lettuce. And they weren't as crisp as the other times. Been hearing a lot of good stuff about salad and go so finally went there tonight to get their autumn salad featuring squash and brussels sprouts. They were out of squash and I don't like brussel sprouts so I got the Thai salad which was OK but when I got home and opened it there was a bug on the top of the salad very much alive and crawling around. it's too far for me to bother bringing it back and there's no phone number that I can fine to call. Where has this place been all my life? All the salad-lovers know how tough it is to find a high-quality, affordably priced salad to-go. I can name every place on Preston that sells to-go salads, but Salad and Go is special. First of all, the employees are nice. Secondly, the salads are made to order with VERY fresh ingredients. Where else can you go and get avocado on your salad as part of the salad, and for only $6 and change? I can tell you - no where. No where, nowhere...NOT ONE PLACE, except Salad & Go. Their black tea is not sweet, but that's ok. I keep Splenda with me. They offer you a fork to go. The containers are large enough the mix the salad/dressing without spilling. I ordered a Cobb salad yesterday and a barbecue salad with chicken today. Tofu is also a choice. Maybe I'll try that tomorrow. No longer will I be in Whataburger 's drive through for salads. No more Wendy's. I can skip Salata, too. This is my new joint. read more

Absolutely love this place. I work close by and days I forget my lunch it is my first choice. Love that any salad can be vegetarian and not lose flavor. Incredibly fast even without ordering ahead. I am so glad I stumbled across Salad and Go on Yelp! Because I got plenty of food for a lot less money. $5.47 for any salad or wrap. $1 for any drink, $3.99 for the only soup on the menu!!! I mean wow! I mean, yeah, there are limited options. But that could temporary. I mean, they haven't been open to long and just getting started. But what they did have to offer was worth it! I got the Greek salad with Chicken. Really wished I would have gotten extra dressing, but I made due. Tried the corn chowder soup with chicken and it was sooo good! Also got the cucumber mint lemonade! All very refreshing on a hot Texas day like today! I am not disappointed!! I'll definitely be coming back and trying some other things on the menu! For the first time and we go twice a week we had a terrible BEC Burrito 8/6/2023 at the Southern store. The staff is always great and nice! However, the eggs were dry and clumpy and not very well cooked. The bacon was Horrible as it was not broken down and all the large pieces were very difficult to chew.
