Looveee it! Before meeting Salata I always was apprehensive of ordering a salad because there is always something I wanna take out and add instead. Salata offers a wide range of lettuces, veggies, protein option (vegan too), breads and house fresh dressings. Plus you could make wrap out of it if you are like super hungry. The soups are great too! During the winters the tomato basil is my favorite. The staff is super friendly. The rush hour is Tuesdays to Thursday between 12noon and 1:30pm so I you are in mood for Salata try the online order. That's faster and easier. read more

We're in town for a conference at the Fort Worth convention center. We found this place via yelp the first day, and have cheerfully eaten here 3 days in a row. At lunch time the line is wrapped completely around the restaurant, BUT they move so quickly, we could still get through in an hour and have time to walk the few blocks back to the convention center before our next session started. The food is fresh, the idea is genius, the portion is generous - SO GOOD!! I wish there was a place like this where I'm from. I would eat way more salad!! read more

Popular lunch spot in downtown. Line can get long. Food is good and fresh, a lot of options. A bit pricey but worth it.

First off, I would like to say that the food and the selection is top notch here at Salata. I have been here many times in the last year. However, I have lately noticed a disturbing trend. Despite always ordering a large salad and many toppings, instead of being able to take half back, I mostly eat the whole thing. I noticed today the man next to me on one side had a small salad that was about the same in quantity to mine (a large). The woman had to really pack his salad into the to go container. The other man on the other side had a large salad about double in size compared to mine. I am a small woman. But if I am paying the same amount I expect the same amount of food. I am not the only one who has noticed this. Other women in my office have complained of not enough lettuce or other ingredients. If I don't notice improvement I will have to go elsewhere with my money. It is too bad because otherwise this is a great place. I simply can't afford to pay the same amount for half the food. read more

So I was loving this place until their rudeness and in professionalism surfaced. I had a problem with a salad and emailed corporate about it. The owner, Raul Ruiz, apologized and told me they would give me a free salad and drink in return. He asked me to call ahead so that the manager, Jose, would know when I'm coming in. So about a week later, I tried calling only to be told Jose was in the restroom and would be out in about 2 minutes. I told the lady I would hold. She came back and said can you call back? I said no, I can hold. Another lady gets on the phone and says hello? I told her I was holding for him, she gets off the phone, comes back on and says, can you call back later, we are busy, this is our lunch rush time. I told her it was not a personal call, it was business! I held for a second and then hung up. I then sent an email to Raul Ruiz telling him about the issue. In the meantime, Roberto Peniche called back and left me a message and sent an email for me to come in, which I did. I go back to work and then see an email from Raul in response to the one I had sent before I got my salad and drink, apologizing and asking Esther to send me 2 coupons for a free salad. Before I could respond to him to let him know I had received everything and anything additional wasn't necessary, Roberto Peniche immediately responded to the email, "Raul, she already came in and had a salad and drink on us. I don't think it's necessary to send any coupons to her". I first think that he didn't mean to send it to everyone but that just goes to show you how they really think. $20 (two salads) would not bankrupt this company and I'm sure Roberto's paycheck or bonus wouldn't be short $20 because if it. Saying all that to say, the good is great but the "customer service" and unprofessionalism is for the birds and for that reason, I will not return to that location. I'd rather drive to Dallas to go to one there than walk to the Sundance Square location. Having someone in a management position like Roberto will cause a quick demise in business! They've lost at least 3 faithful patrons that I know of because of their rudeness. If those 3 spread the news, it will grow seeing that downtown Fort Worth is a "small world". read more

My experience was awful. The staff here was incredibly indifferent to whether or not my friends and I had a good experience or not. Beyond that, ownership refused to atone for the atrocious customer service we received despite my being told by the customer service lady I called that we would be taken care of in the form of coupons/complimentary meals. After pushing my friends to eat here we were very UNenthusiastically greeted by a member of the staff who treated us very poorly. Among other things, the staff member was impatiently rushing us to finish our order while making rude faces when we took what she considered to be too long to order. It was bad enough to be treated this way but then to be ignored by upper management for as long as I was to ultimately be told in not so many words that they don't care if I return to their restaurant is absolutely appalling in my opinion. This was after being told by the customer service lady that several complaints had been made already about the poor treatment of this location's customers. One would think that ownership/customer service would treat their patrons with a lot more respect. But, because business is good, as I was told, I guess poor customer service is acceptable. I will never eat Salata again in my life. No food is worth that kind of treatment. read more
