I really like Salata for a lot of reasons everything is fresh and tastes so good. I'm a small salad chipotle chicken w/ chipotle ranch kinda girl The staff is super friendly and always are ready for my husbands terrible jokes. They offer up healthy drink choices and also sodas if you prefer soda to drink. They also have cookies if you need a dessert which are pretty good as well. They are definitely set up for social distancing with tables marked off where you are not allowed to sit. Lines on the floor to keep customers spread out in line. Staff are wearing gloves and face masks to protect themselves and the food they are serving. My only complaint is that the seats on some of the booths need a little TLC, again this is my only complaint. I really love coming to Salata on a regular basis after I work out for a clean meal. read more

I was checking my phone for a nearby Which Wich while 1/2 miles from this place. The phone said "Magnolia". I'm like "WTH? Magnolia rates a Which Wich but Tomball doesn't?" Sad, but true. What I was really after was a salad. When I told Yelp to think again, it directed me to this place. I know it's a chain, but I'd never been there before. What impressed me here was the patience of the staff for a first-timer. Of course, I actually knew what I wanted on my salad (much practice at my local Which Wich), which made the process go more quickly. Everything looked fresh, not wilted. Items were labeled by caloric content by portion, which made those few on-the-fly decisions I made all that much easier. A nice touch is that they actually toss the salad after the dressing is applied. I found the small salad to be more than enough for lunch. Sadly, there's only one of these back home in Austin. Of course, it's out near the D'oh-main. But, if you're in Tomball and hankering for a salad, give them a try. I'm sure you'll be pleased. read more

I like this salata location- they always have all the veggies/toppings in stock, the place is pretty clean, plenty of seats, and the spicy chipotle ranch is just too good. I like salata in general (salad or wrap with unlimited toppings) and choice of carb (wheat pita chips, white bread, wheat bread, etc). The only think I dislike is the price... I'm not sure how, but I always end up paying $11 or $13 for a salad. It so good though and I don't feel guilty eating it. read more

The food is excellent and the store is always clean. I must say that the staff, while nice and professional, do not exude charm and friendliness. After several trips to Salata, I have concluded that the staff is under pressure to perform to the company's standards. They seem very intimidated by the prospect of 'over-serving.' When the line is busy, they ask you "what else" over and over again in an attempt to keep the machinery moving. I feel confident they didn't come up with this on their own. Repeatedly hearing this while you are trying to decide is very annoying. In the end, I keep coming back because I am on a diet and the price is reasonable. I support these employees and I wish they had a better environment to work in. Also, if they received proper wages, they wouldn't need a tip jar. read more

I have been to salatas before but never this location, i was not too happy with this one because they were extremely light handed with the toppings. Also there is a sensor on the water and ice machines and i felt like an idiot trying to find a button, a bigger warning sign would be nice. I love Salata! However, this new location doesn't put enough lettuce in the bowl to start. I've been twice and both times the lettuce ran out before the other toppings. It was still good, but the salad/toppings/dressing ratio was off. read more

I've been meaning to swing by this store since probably February. For some reason, I never ended up going. I had the extreme pleasure of having dinner here last week and I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. I think my salad cost $13, but I got doubt chicken so I expected it to be a little more pricey. I got the medium bowel and I'm glad I didn't get the larger option because I didn't even finish the medium! Things I loved: Everything looked fresh and crisp. Didn't get any wilted lettuce or mushy veggies. Honey mustard salad dressing. They have the calories listed for every option. Helps you eat mindfully and gives you a really good idea of what you're putting into your body. Things I didn't love: They didn't have my usual thousand island salad dressing. They didn't have french salad dressing. Although they didn't have my regular salad dressing, the honey mustard dressing was absolutely wonderful. I have been craving it since my last dinner there! They let me sample the dressings before I chose one which was great because I would not have originally chosen the honey mustard dressing. Always a favorite and a "fall back on" when we're out and about. Glad to see more locations added in/around Cypress, Tomball and the Spring area. Seems their lettuce is always fresh and lots of topping choices. I have tummy issues and don't feel ill after eating here like I do at Jason's deli (salad bar only). read more

The only complaint I have is that they do not toast their bread! Salatas are great, and the food here is no different but customer service is horrible! Rude employees who act bothered when you ask for all the veggies I speak Spanish and she made a rude comment to her coworker because I wanted all of them. This place is FREEZING cold and you can't sit outdoors. I agree, the vintage location is much better and worth the the drive! UPDATE: How can such a wonderful restaurant have such horrible customer service? Service with a smile? I don't think so. I have never seen so many miserable people in a restaurant. I ran into a former employee (the only nice one) of theirs at chipotle and she told me she got fired because she gave the customers too much food. Today I asked for radishes on my LARGE salad and she gave me TWO slices, I asked her to put a few more on, and the way she threw my food on there like she was feeding the dog. I have been to many other facilities from the same chain and customer service has NEVER been an issue. Yet EVERY time these employees are rude. Why is it that this one facility is the only one that has rude employees? I recommend a good salad at Panera's on the other side of the parking lot, where they greet you with a smile and always say goodbye to you as you walk out the door. At Panera's they will even pick up your plate for you and throw away your trash. And they do it all with a smile on their face!!! The reason I tip is for customer service so I don't tip when they are rude. read more

I will never return to this place. They don't have Italian dressing, they don't have sandwiches, and their soup sizes are horribly small. We ended up walking next door to Ron's to get a handful of crackers for the soup. I find it unacceptable that a salad/soup place has no Italian dressing or crackers. And the prices aren't good for what you're getting. This is all very disappointing because I like salad bars--this one just doesn't live up to expectations. read more

This review is strictly for this location because I love Salata . I work by here so I eat here a lot because I don't do fast food. Sometimes I eat here almost every day out of the week. A couple months ago I found something in my salad that looked like a large dead bug. Like maybe a wasp or something I really couldn't tell because it was covered in oil. It really turned me off and I stopped eating here for a while. This week I decided to go back because I figure stuff like that just happens sometimes. It hasn't happened again but I've had 3 salads this week and all 3 of them were very skimpy. I order online and pick up to go so I don't watch them make it. I order a small salad which costs $10 if you want meat. What I've been getting is an xs salad. Not sure I want to keep going here and spending $10 on such a small salad and I don't want to spend more money to order a large salad that I probably can't finish. I'm just annoyed at this point. It's nice to have a go to place for when I don't want to pack but I may just have to pack all my lunches. read more

I was very excited about this Salata opening as it is so close. However, I will probably drive the extra 15 minutes and continue to use the Salata at the Vintage as my primary--they are much friendlier and definitely much more amiable when you ask for a few more grapes, feta or bean sprouts etc. At this location, it feels like you are in the "no soup for you" line from Seinfeld! An atmosphere that you actually may be getting someone in trouble for even asking for more of what you should have received more of anyway for a large salad. I always tip at the Vintage Salata because of the excellent service and their generous spirit...I never tip at this one because there is no service and they are not friendly. read more

Saladas is the best place ever for salads at a good price. The small is sufficient for even the biggest eaters. I get it and always have some to take home. $7.00 for the small. They also have some excellent dressings like fat free sun dried tomato and chipotle ranch. I also really like the tortilla soup and the herbal teas. On every occasion I have been there the service has been horrible and incompetent, never failing to forget parts of my order. The first time I ordered for pickup they forgot my chicken on the salad, the second time they messed up on one of the salads completely, and the third time I ordered to go and they forgot to put my soup in the bag and when I went back to get it they said they had to charge me for it even though I paid for it. The management is a joke and it seems as though none of the workers can speak enough English to save their lives or they don't care to. This last visit was the last straw. read more

As with any Salata, the food is awesome! But as the other reviews have stated, this location needs some serious help. I've been here multiple times and the staff has been extremely rude every time. They rush you through the line and act like you are wasting their time by even taking a second to look at what toppings they offer. I went with a friend who had never been there before and was trying to figure out what toppings/dressings she wanted and they kept huffing and puffing giving dirty looks. There wasn't even anyone in line behind us! They are EXTREMELY stingy with meats, toppings, and dressings. They charged my friend a $1 per scoop of extra dressing and double charged her for chicken because she asked for a couple more pieces bc they didn't even give her a full scoop the first time. I can guarantee you she will never be back to a Salata. If I hadn't already experienced more enjoyable locations, I probably wouldn't be back either. read more
