We went about a week after they opened and for the most part really enjoyed our time. This locations pizza lives up the the hype of their New Haven location. The interior is very modern but cozy, a great spot for a date night or family night out. A few things to note before you go: Would recommend a reservation! You can make them on Opentable but you will have a hard time getting in on a weekend without one. Come ready to wait an hour or so for a pizza once you sit down as the kitchen was slammed. To go is almost impossible to get so would try to just go in to the restaurant to eat. Place is large, clean, and chill ambiance in Woburn Village with large glass windows and tall ceiling. Pizza is thin crust, burnt bottom, and tangy sauce. So. The pizza is excellent! This is only based on service. I came at 215 on a Sunday after and they were like 30 minute wait there were 10 -15 open tables. And an open none alcohol bar. Then after I tried to sit at the bar they let me have a table since I was with someone under age though there is no law against this!! They lied to me and said it was against law. Then it was another 30 minutes for a pizza when it was pretty empty I get there are to go orders you need to prioritize people eating at your restaurant and feed them. What a joke you have a coal fire thousand degree o yeah and it's not like I see a line on the door to go orders you know like there's no one. There's no reason to take 30 minute they have people making pizzas. There is no one doing to go orders. This is not how you run a business. I lucked out, and got seated with no problems. The staff, was great. The service was speedy. But the food was inedible, and the flavors were all wrong. We split a salad, and there was a bucket of dressing and cheese. The lettuce was nonexistent. It was more of a soup, than a salad. And then the pizza(pepperoni). Which was supposedly the best pizza? Y'all need to be tested. After two bites, we lifted the entire pizza, and it was jet black. It was both raw and burnt to a crisp. Which would explain why it came out so fast. I'm not someone who gets indigestion or anything like that. But, I had to go - pharmacy to get tums. It took a couple days before I felt normal again. Pizza is amazing. I have been there a few times and they made New Haven proud. I was disappointed by Pepe's in Burlington as it didn't compare to the original... but Sally's is for real. Incredible food. A friend in myself went there for lunch during work. I got chicken, Caesar salad sandwich, and he got the chopped Italian sandwich. Both were amazing. The meal came to us like it was from a super fancy restaurant. I was really happy. The waitress was amazing. I also got a large pizza to take home. It was incredible warm when I got it. I had wanted to try the Woburn Sally's since it opened but never had a chance until Father's Day. My wife made a reservation for us and I was pretty excited. Now the original Sally's is some of the best pizza in the world so let's see how Woburn measures up. We arrived on time for our resy and seated almost immediately. Didn't take long for our waitress to come over and take our drink order. The people working there here were awesome. Anyone that walked by would fill our waters or take a dirty plate away. It made the experience even better. They told us the pizza could take an hour so we ordered the Caesar salad, no pickles onions, and fried mozzarella. The salad was delicious and fed 4 of us. My wife thought it had too much dressing, but I disagree. The mozzarella were small triangles, lightly breaded with gooey cheese. The mozzarella was served with a vodka sauce which was ok. It wasn't bad, I just prefer marinara sauce. The mozzarella was very good, not the best I ever had but good. For pizza we ordered a small tomato pie, large cheese and a large pepperoni. We got the pizza in 30 minutes, which was way ahead of the hour they told us. The Crust is thin, but not as thin as i remember. The sauce is delicious and the light amount of cheese was perfect. The tomato pie was amazing nice crust with a thick layer of tomato sauce. I love this style. In the end we had half of the small leftover and maybe 1/4 of a pizza from the two larges. This is very good pizza and was worth the wait. I also ordered the Sicilian margarita cocktail and it was so good I ordered 2. Can't wait to go back. read more

I've been to the og Sally's many times and was concerned that this wouldn't live up to it but I was pleasantly surprised and there is no difference in taste and looks. The staff was great and accommodated us with a free appetizer because we had to wait a little bit for our service, it wasn't even that long but the gesture goes a long way. A week later, I called back as I never received the credit and was told that they would reprocess. Another week goes by and I call again. I was told that this time the entire meal would be comped. Again, I think to myself this is great customer service. Again, these were just words as I never received any credit. I feel like I've just been lied to repeatedly. I always get a kick out of people, like some of the reviewers here, who want a different place to be just like the other places they go...especially pizza places. This is New Haven style pizza, which means it's coal fired with thin crust and generally less cheese. It shares that heritage with Frank Pepe's. As such, it is very good, and unlike Pepe's, they serve other things like pasta and cocktails. I'm getting really sick & tired of reading all these whiny reviews offering 1-2 stars. People have become so quick to become hardcore critics and drop low scores without true warrant not realizing how much that can impact a new up and coming restaurant. This place just opened up like a month ago and is the 2nd CT style pizza restaurant to open other than Frank Pepe's so of course it's going to be busy and of course any new place is going to have to get the kinks out especially when they are brand new. I mean, look up how the grand opening of Disneyland went back in 1955, and well, we all see how that turned out. So here's a real review, based on an actual experience going there and having dinner. CT style pizza is some of the best in my opinion, and Sally's did NOT disappoint. The crust was perfect, had the right amount of searing, great flavor, I mean it all starts with the crust. The tomato sauce was excellent, the blend of cheese, I mean it was all meant to be. We ordered basic stuff: xtra cheese pizza, and a 1/2 pepper & onion, 1/2 pepperoni & sausage. It was all very, very good, some of the best CT pizza I've had in a while and some of the best pizza I've had in general. In addition, we ordered the garlic shrimp and these were the freekin nuts! Sooo good! They almost reminded me of the garlic shrimp you order from food trucks in Hawaii (if you've ever been you know what I'm talking about) and they not only tasted great but they gave you like 12 medium sized shrimps, it was a great portion where sometimes dishes like this you get like 3-4 shrimp, if you like garlic and butter and shrimp, very close to a shrimp scampi but more flavor, you'd love these. Did we wait some time for the pizza, yeah like maybe 45 min but they told us up front the pizza doesn't come right out, and I mean good things comes to those who wait, and this was worth the wait and allowed our party to talk and relax a little before it came out, totally reasonable in my eyes. For some reason there was an issue with a pizza that was ordered by another member of our party, I think they may have just forgotten to make it, so they were super apologetic and gave us that pizza on the house which they didn't have to do, they just offered and was super classy to do that, that just made the night even better. The pricing is in line for any good high quality pizza like this, so if you're going there expecting Applebees pricing you're in the wrong place, and this sure is s&!t not dominos, so you're going to pay like $25-$30ish or so for a large pizza (depending on toppings) but again, this is what you pay for good pizza. If you're looking for some excellent pizza, make a reservation in advance, go there and don't act like an entitled you know what, and if you have to be a little patient to get some good food, then so what. I can't wait to come back and try' the wings and some more pizza, but you gotta give this place a try, I guarantee you'll enjoy it very much! read more

Waited 50 minutes for pizza. First one came out piping hot. Second one- waited another 5-10 minutes and it was delivered barely warm. Asked for light sauce and got heavy sauce. After almost an hour we gave up and went home. Not the first time we had to wait more than 30 minutes for pizza and have it come out wrong. Guess I'll give up and wait for a trip to New Haven In response to Marc, the GM, yes we did tell our server - Fernando, that there was a problem - a problem with the preparation as well as the temperature. He was apologetic but helpless. The individual who did come over after a bit did not identify himself as a manger but asked what the issue was. We told him. He asked if we wanted to wait for a remake, to which we said that it was already over 50 minutes and we were going to go. He brought the check back - they did take off both of our pizzas and gave a lack luster apology. Sorry but this is not how to build your business read more

Sally's Apizza is so so good. They are welcoming and the servers are ready whenever you need them. The food is superb I think that is the best pizza I have had. They have some type of food for everybody. You can see the chefs make the dough put on the toppings and see it go in and out of the oven. You are surrounded by other tables and TV's presenting different shows. This is such a kid and adult friendly restaurant. I will definitely be returning! read more

As good as the food may be, can not justify their issues with producing orders on time. Came in at 3:55pm Saturday September 6th.... Took over 1.5 hours to get a single pizza in a fairly empty dining room. In the first full hour of waiting we didn't see a single pizza coming out to the other tables who were waiting (many of which got up and left out of frustration). In the 1.5 hours between ordering and the pizza arriving the waiter never came over to see if we needed anything or to provide any explanation as to what was going on. Waiter finally came over 1.5 hours in and let us know the pizza had just gone into the oven. The pizzas are extremely thin crust so only take a few minutes to cook. When the pizza actually came out it was very good but the service was so atrocious so I won't be back. Service is excellent. Thin crust is perfectly cooked to a slighty burnt edge and crispy bite. Pepperoni is thick and flavorful. Sausage ok nothing special. Tomato sauce too sour, unlike those at original locations in that are more sweet and savory. $45 is way overpriced for large 2 toppings pizza. read more

A Night of Nails and Neglect: My Disastrous Experience at Sally's Apizza, Woburn Walking into Sally's Apizza, Woburn, with the memory of the New Haven location's magic dancing in my taste buds, I was filled with anticipation. However, what unfolded was an evening more reminiscent of a horror movie than a delightful pizza experience. Our server, who initially captivated my attention with her impossibly long, intricately designed nails, seemed put off by my attention to them. She stood next to me with her pad and pen, waiting to take our order and I told her how cool I thought her nails were. She seemed very disinterested but I'm thinking now that perhaps they were claws. With zero response to my compliment, she took our appetizer and drink order, and off she went on her broomstick. After that, it seemed like an eternity before she acknowledged us again, but this time we had a problem with the appetizer. When she finally graced us with her presence, her demeanor screamed disinterest, bordering on disdain, and our questions related to the appetizer were met with a scowl and stare that created an atmosphere of unwelcome tension. Dorothy, we're not in Kansas anymore. As if the inattentiveness wasn't enough, the first of two pizzas we ordered took an excruciating hour to arrive. While it was good, it wasn't great. Isn't pizza supposed to have cheese on it? I have heard that in other parts of the world, pizza is sans the cheese, but not in Woburn, Mass. Okay, so it probably had some cheese on it, but not enough to be noticed by me. Fair enough, maybe that's their "style." After another egregiously long wait, we had to inquire about the second pizza we ordered. Elmira Gulch returned and told us she'd check on it. What we believe really happened behind the golden curtain, was that she forgot to tell the great and powerful Chef to make it! And so once again we waited. This time it was a short, and appropriate ten minutes. The new pizza had more cheese on it and it was considerably better than the first one. Meanwhile, the table next to us, who arrived long after we did, not only received their pizza in half the time but were also gifted a free pizza by the apologetic hostess for their "wait." This blatant favoritism only added insult to injury. At this point now, all I want is Aunt Em! We asked for the check and fully expected another lengthy wait, but to our surprise, it was returned as fast as you could say Lolipop kids, and with it came a costume change. Elmira was suddenly Glinda the good witch. How convenient...just in time for the tip. Glinda, however, while fascinated to observe such a transformation, couldn't even erase the memory of such neglectful service and her tip would be her lucky day because we know there are usually other people she has to tip out to, and why make them pay. Her snub comes in the form of this review because we left Sally's in Woburn feeling less like satisfied customers and more like unwanted guests. Comparing this experience to the exceptional service and food at the New Haven location is like comparing night and day. It pains me to say I will never return to Sally's Apizza in Woburn. The long wait times, and unprofessional server, created an atmosphere that was anything but welcoming or enjoyable. While I understand that individual experiences can vary, mine was so overwhelmingly negative that I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this location to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience. If you're looking for the magic of Sally's Apizza, stick to the New Haven location. The Woburn branch, unfortunately, seems to have forgotten the true meaning of hospitality and quality service. read more

I've eaten here several times and had great experiences. I think some of the complaints on this thread are likely due to a misalignment of expectations... This pizza is more sauce-forward, its not going to be the type of pizza loaded with mozzarella cheese. It is charred intentionally and it is thinner than most pizza styles in the north shore. The pizza is on the higher end of pricing when you compare it to your local sub-shop or chain pizzeria, but the quality of ingredients is apparent. If these attributes are not your jam, then its not that the place isn't great, its that its just not your type of pizza. Now for my experiences here... The service has been solid every time - Note: I've visited mostly on days and times that were on the slower side, intentionally. The pizza is great - It's flavorful, I love the thin crunchy texture. I've tried a few types, both white and red sauces, and I haven't had a bad slice yet. The pastas and appetizers - I've tried nearly all of them, and I have enjoyed them all. They have just enough options, but too many - and between the pastas/apps and the drinks, it feels a bit more like you are going out to eat at a casual, fun place rather than just a local pizza place. The space is beautiful and clean. All in all, this has become one of my favorite pizza places and a go-to for a casual bite to eat with the family. I'm a big fan. read more

Best pizza in the world hands down. I have been to the Woburn location twice and I look forward to my next visit. The Caesar salad and calamari appetizer are great as well as are the deserts. The pizza is the best that I have ever had in my life and I have had great pizza everywhere. It is a bit pricey but worth it. The cocktail and beer selection are awesome as well. Make a reservation and get there when they open if possible because they fill up the place fast. Frank Pepe's and Original Pizzeria Regina In Boston's North End are now my 2nd favorite places for pizza in the Boston area and they are great as well. There is only one place to get white clam pizza and it's not Sally's. Frank Pepe's is far superior! The Sally's version had very few clams, and not much flavor. The cheese pizza was ok, but was dry. Sausage pizza was bland. The Baked Clams were a big disappointment, overcooked and dry , not worth $18! Margaritas were good and the atmosphere was nice. read more

If there were more stars I would give it a higher rating. The food is very well made and reminds you of home cooked meals from a day gone by. The pizza, the 4-5 I have tried, are all unique and flavorful. The wedge salad, and no it's no where near a basic wedge. Is the star of the menu. It substitutes pepperoni in place of the bacon and chars the croutons and tomato's for a Smokey flavor. Absolutely to die for. Each pizza has some blackening to it so it's not burnt it's intentional.
