The quality of the service here is lacking. I came here because it had cheaper prices for an acrylic refill, but you should understand why they charge less. One week later, three of my nails have started lifting and one fell off. They do not "buzz" the acrylic near your nailbed off before they lay on new acrylic. They glue it down and lay it on the new acrylic which is why it only takes 45 minutes for them to do. I spend $50 on this service to get horrible this horrible equality. Came here in a whim a few weeks ago and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. The lady at the front gave me a full set and a manicure - I was very happy with the results. I'm extremely rough on my nails - work in my garden outside, moved rocks & bricks around, cleaning around my house - my nails endured it all without breaking or popping off. For that exact reason I came again today (from Seguin) for a fill and Le did my nails, they look amaze. My only complaint is that the color isn't exactly the same, but it is very close. They still look good regardless. They are a little pricier than I'm used to (by about 10-15) but honestly it seems worth it when my nails made it 3 weeks; they use sanitary bin liners for the pedi's and have a lot of snacks & drinks for customers! So I had an appointment and when I got there they were ready. Plenty of nail colors to choose from. I got dip powder on my natural nails and it was $38 (no removal of old nails, not sure if they would've charged), most other places charge like $45. They did actually dip my finger in the jar, some people don't like this cause of sanitary reasons but I've yet to find a salon that pours the powder over instead of dipping (currently looking). Service was fine, however after I noticed some of my nails were uneven lengths. I would've preferred if one of my natural nails is slightly shorter then to cut all my nails to that length. Also noticed he did 1 coat of base powder, 2 coats of the colored powder (most places I've seen do 3) and then plain clear polish on top. Now it's been exactly 1 week and FOUR of my nails are chipped. I've never had my nails not last long, they always stay perfect for at least 3 weeks! I'm just so angry because I got this color for Halloween and now they're all chipped :( I went here based on recommendations from friends and I was so let down. Probably will not be back. I've been on the hunt for a new nail salon for the past few months so I try and really pay attention. read more

It's the worst experience I've ever had when it comes to getting my nails done. My feet were scrubbed dry and raw. My nails when I asked for dip have chunks missing from them and was put on in clumpy layers is the best way I can describe it. Saw cockroaches all over the floor and they obviously did not seem to care. I will never be returning to this place. This is hands down the most awful nail salon I've ever been to. My sister and I went to get our nails and not only did they rush and ruin our nails they didn't own up to their mistake. My nail was crooked and completely not the right shape, and when she asked whether I liked my nail I said "sure". My fault for not saying I didn't like them but I have dinner plans and couldn't sit there for them to take the nails off and start over. So I called 30 minutes after I left and told me that I was unpleased with my experience and nails. She told me to come back the next time just to tell me that they not only wouldn't fix their shitty job but would charge me extra to take them off. My nails have never been chunky, I've never broken a nail, and overall they are just great. I usually don't write reviews, but I decided to leave one for them. First let me start by saying I am SUPER picky when it comes to my nails. So it's hard for me to try other nail shops other than my go to nail shop back home. I always searched for decent nail shops around San Marcos, but they're always either over priced or a sloppy job. I went on the limb and tried salon central and I am glad I did! I came in 30 minutes after opening and was greeted by Gina. She removed my old nails without pain, unlike other salons and did a full set with gel shellac. She was awesome! She really takes her time and is thorough. She didn't rush or half do it which made me very happy! My only complaint is that I don't really like my nails too narrow because I already have skinny hands so I like my nails to be a little wide but other than that she did a decent job. The shop was clean, cute, and quiet. However, I've been getting my nails done since I was 12 so I'm pretty experienced with acrylics. Their prices are a little higher than back home but that's what I expect in a college town. read more

This place is great, they have massaging pedicure chairs and seem very clean. The employees are kind and very good at what they do. They even have a little shop dog that sits upright like a person; so cute. There was a long wait today but that can vary with any salon. Also they give the best foot/calf massages! I would NOT recommend coming to this nail shop. They did my nails well but customer service was very unprofessional. I came in for a color powder full set which is $40 but they charged me an extra $15 for length and $5 for coffin. After reviewing their website I noticed that a color powder full set extra long coffin nails is $55 dollars but they charged me $60 and my nails are not even "extra long" so really my nails should have been $50 dollars. They basically stole $10 from me and when I called the nail shop to ask for at least a $5 refund the manager was very rude and hung up the phone. read more

I went to this nail salon for a simple classic manicure. Service was great but a few days later I noticed that I had a finger infection. I have gotten my nails done multiple times and this has NEVER happened to me. I spoke with a manager and he stated that this happens to clients all the time... this has never happened to me before and if this is repeatedly happening to their clients then clearly they are doing something wrong. I asked for a refund but was denied and offered a gift card but the whole point is that I never want to return to this salon again. I'm not the type to ever leave reviews but my finger hurts so bad and it looks awful, not to mention I've had to spend my own money to purchase an antibiotic ointment. This place sucks!!!! Do not go here!!! I told the lady to fix the shape of my nails and she said "YOU talk too much!" Very rude customer service. I felt very rushed. I wanted to get my nails painted gel but I had one finger that needed acrylic since it had broken. I told her that the length was way too short and instead of being gentle with my hands, she grabbed a cuticle nipper and wanted to slice the acrylic nail down the middle. I told her that I was not comfortable with that and that I was afraid she was going to hurt me. She started yelling at me!! I told her that if she was going to be rude then I was going to leave. She said that because she's already done so much work on me, I would have to pay anyways regardless if I like it or not so it's best just to finish. I left having my hands feel sore and I felt as though I could not tell her that what she was doing was wrong because every time I did, she would start a scene in the salon, even if I say things politely. Terrible the way they treated my daughter. She always used to go here for her nail needs but not after the way they talked to her the last time. Told her she wasn't welcome there anymore because she's "really picky" because she asked them to redo her toenail after it never dried and got messed up from the 15+ layers the lady did due to having sh**ty old nail polishes that are overly tacky and don't go on smooth. Unfortunately, I won't be able to comment on any services today, as I sat with my feet in the water for 40 minutes (around 12 in the afternoon). We were told upon arrival it would be 10 minutes. 2 others were with me, one received her pedi quickly, the other 30 minutes later, then they offered to help me. MUST READ This is literally the worst nail salon in San Marcos!!!! I can not make this up, I got a full set done 5/14/2020 for $70, went back in two days because my thumb nail had broke. BACKSTORY: I have been wearing "long" nails for over 5+ years, I have also worked in the server industry with my nails (when allowed) and have worked numerous of retail jobs where cashier was a must. Point Blank Period! I have experience. Story Continues... I explain to the lady that one of her co workers did my nails yesterday and that I needed a fix! She was cool about it but explained to me very firmly their policy on broken nails... " we are not responsible for your broken nails, even if its the next day. Today your nail will be $10 for the Ombré, Length, and shape. I agreed to pay the $10 and went about my day, with NO INTENT on going back..... 4 days later the same nail and another nail broke! I called them back and asked if their was anything I could do to get my nails replaced bc at this point I have paid $90 for a basic a set that hasn't even showed A sign of needing a refill. I remember the girl and guy from another Nail salon (Walmart) and I had an incident where I had to call the police on an employee for shoving me out the door because I was being "tooo picky" bc I told him that the shape wasn't right.
