I have been a customer of Shelby's during covid. Since, she has helped me learn about my hair and learn how to keep it healthy although I bleach it a lot! Haha Throughout time, she now knows me and knows what I like. She is the first to remind me "Kim remember how much you didn't like this color?" Or "Noooo not purple yet!" Then she will help me understand the time it would take to go back to what I like from my mistakes. Quality salon for a haircut. First time customer & I am very pleased with Shelby's results and service. Took a leap of faith based on other peoples' positive reviews and I am very happy with the results. Prices do reflect the quality. (I'm starting to get shell shocked with California prices, even though I've lived here all my life.) But my hair & haircuts are integral to my success & well-being. Basically what I'm saying is that I wish I could afford to return as much as I would like to to maintain my hairstyle going forward. Made an appointment for a cut and color at 5pm. Received an email an hour later titled "Your appointment is changed!" The email had 2 service types, one at 5pm and one at 6:30, I assumed it was changed from 5pm-6:30. I headed to my kid's soccer game and when I checked my phone at 5:30 I received several messages from the salon asking me where I was, telling me there's a no-show fee and that they'll be putting a note in my file flagging me as a flake and I'll be asked to prepay 50% for all future appointments. I called the salon 3 times and no one picked up, then someone texts back and said I shouldn't have been confused and it was my fault and they're super glad to not have had me as a client. Very bizarre interaction, I guess they don't want new clients? It was an honest misunderstanding, the business owner's bedside manners could improve. read more

I've had color (roots, balayage) and haircuts from both of them, and come away each time with a style I was happy with.
