I am such a Fan ... I have been a Aveda user for more than 10 years and REALLY love the product line... I was recommended by friend to go and see Yodit at Salon Revive... The best advice I have ever taken ... Yodit was awesome ... I went natural in 2007 and just couldn't fine a salon or stylist that really understood my hair type, without charging me an arm, leg, foot and first born... so I was just about to give up on finding a fab salon in DC... But a ray of sunshine came into my life name Salon Revive and Yodit... my hair feels and looks awesome! I have already booked my next 2 appts... I am def. a fan ... okay so the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because ... the front desk girl .. she was pleasant but not inviting, a little turned off ... Maybe it wasn't her day ... she went through the motions but that was it ... and the shampoo girl she can massage a girls scalp well .. but OMG can we work on detangling ... I am not tender headed .. but I felt like I was yesterday ... Please change to wide tooth combs when detangling... other than that is was a good experience ... The first time I visited Revive, I had a wash, blowout, trim, and flat-iron/curl by Yodit. I was friggin blown away by the results. I've rocked a natural for over ten years and never-- I mean NEVER-- has my hair been heat straightened with such lustrous, bouncy, shiny, all-around hot results. Second time I visited Revive another stylist (who will remain nameless) performed the same services, but with nowhere near the same skill, expertise or, unfortunately, results as Yodit. (BTW, it wasn't her fabazon sister, Hiwot.) Don't get me wrong, I got an acceptable trim and press, but it definitely wasn't the same. I'll visit again (but only if it's Yodit or Hiwot next time). For the record, I don't have a lot of salon-patron experience to base this review upon. As a matter of fact, I don't have any mid-scale salon experience outside of revive. Just a truthful caveat for all readers to consider. Good to know: **For the sistas, no worries about arriving for your appointment at 2:00, resting your hips in the chair at about 2:30 (if you're lucky) and leaving the shop at 6. Revive runs a tight, clean, on-time, non-gossipy, no bootleg CD selling, no raffle ticket hocking, professional salon. ** Shop is less than two blocks from U St metro (10th St exit) and offers free parking in a lot across the street. **Revive offers an ultra-convenient changing closet so you can slip out of your top and into one of the salon's black protective jackets. Called on Sunday morning and got a noon appointment with Kim. It ran a little longer than she estimated but I have a lot of hair so I expected it. Kim was ready for me on time, polite, listened and joked with me. I was totally relaxed in her hands and my hair came out perfectly! I'm a natural with below the shoulder length hair. It cost $75 for a wash, straighten, cut and style. My hair hasn't looked this good straight in over a year. So I came here to get a relaxer and the stylist trims my hair at the end. I go to the cash register and am surprised to hear that my trim cost 55$ in addition to the relaxer. Seriously, $55 dollars! That is extreme and other hair salons I've gone to didn't charge 55 dollars. The receptionist tells me it is the price for a cut and at that salon a trim and a cut are considered to be the same thing. They ended up giving me $20 back, but I won't be back. A $55 trim is something that should be said up front. I totally understand $10/$20 maybe for a trim, but that is extreme. Also, the trim wasn't even that great. I made an appointment with Vonetta after reading her stellar reviews on this site. She was every bit as good as her reviews led me to believe. I've bounced from stylist to stylist for the 8 years I've been living in DC and I really think I've found The One. I'm half Black and half Mexican (Blaxican if you will) and it's not always easy finding someone who knows how to deal with multicultural hair. This salon is really nice, it's calming and in a convenient location. I was in a chair right at 3 (my appointment time) and Vonetta talked to me about what I wanted to do to my hair. I wasn't really sure myself, but when I walked out of that place my hair looked great. The cut and layers were fantastic. The *only* drawback is that it was a little pricey. $110 for a touch-up and $65 for a cut. But if there's one thing my Mom always told me, it was splurge on your hair if you can! My favorite hairstylist EVER, Alyssa, moved to Revive recently so of course, I followed suit. The salon itself is fine - clean, friendly people, next to Etete (see my review - the best Ethiopian food in DC). Why I recommend this place with 5 starts however, is Alyssa's skills with the scissors. I have very curly hair and Alyssa has done a great job helping me over the years work it into a curly lopsided bob of sorts so that I can surf that happy medium between long tangled curly dreads and hair so short that I risk getting mistaken for a boy. She really knows what to do with curly hair and has an eye for what type of hairstyle would fit a particular face shape. So go try this place and ask for Alyssa (in my opinion esp if you have curly hair). Then maybe you'll understand why she is the only stylist whose cell no. I have type 4 natural hair. It seems to be near impossible to find salons that cater to this hair type. I travel to NYC occasionally to visit some salons there that specialize in curly to extremely coily hair textures. Since it is so hard to find good, skilled stylists that don't rip through my type of hair, i mostly care for my hair at home, but when i want to get occasional blowouts, i mostly visit salon revive because they have several stylists there who understand how to work with thick, coily hair. I have had good experiences with yodit, hewit, and lately i have been going to Galya. Galya is patient and she listens! She doesnt just rip and tear through my hair. She knows how to detangle my coily hair when it is wet with hardly any hair loss. read more

This review is for my experience with the hairstylist Hiwot. She was a really nice woman and all but she did not wash my hair good AT ALL. She kept on washing one side better then the other, I had to hold my head up in order for her to wash the shampoo off the lower back part of my head. Not to mention there was a bit of conditioner in the middle of my head and we had to go back so she could wash it off. I really do think these D.C. hair salons have NOTHING on L.A. salons period. I've tried two stylist since being here and they have not managed to get my hair as straight as my L.A. stylist. I'm used to having all of my hair bone straight, including the ROOTS and EDGES. i could do what they did at home myself. One thing that was good about her was her consultation. I set an appointment with Tizita, this woman has magical hands! Her fingers were like wands granting every wish until the mirror on the wall finally said you! I didn't have to wait long after I got there and the second time she still made room for me (with two other clients) even though I got stuck in rush hour and was an hour late. I got a nice cranial massage while she washed my hair followed by a quick and painless straightening. The prices are way lower than what the Dominican shops are sporting! Aveda products relax me and make me feel safe. I previously went to Salon Cielo on Connecticut a couple years ago, but when they stopped using Aveda colors, I left & followed my stylist to this little place on U and 9th. As you can see from my picture, I'm not African American, so I don't have much insight on Salon Revive's talents there, but the reviews seem good. I go to Alyssa, who no one has mentioned and she's great! She's a perfectionist when it comes to cutting - she will make sure it is JUST right even when i don't care that much at times :) She also does a great blonde - and even a good brunette if you've been blonde for forever (like I had) and want to switch it up. The salon itself is clean, well-run, and efficient. The music is weird sometimes, but that's NBD. It's off the beaten path, and I'd recommend trying sassy Alyssa out for a cut/color. read more

Can I give 6 stars?! Vonetta is a hair magician! I learned of her on Facebook and her marketing was phenomenal (including blogs and pictures of her work). I am very picky about hair stylists and Vonetta is the best...no question. I've been to Salon Revive twice for a haircut and lowlights. Both times, I left loving my haircut, loving the color, and feeling very impressed by the Salon and Hiwot. Having had a very poor experience at some other salons, I was nervous that the same would happen at Revive. I was worried that my request for a trim with slight layers would be turned into horrible haircut with most of my hair thinned and overly dramatic layers (my experience at one upscale salon). I was also worried that my insistence on lowlights close to my natural hair color would lead to somehow having blonde highlights (my experience at another salon). I worried for nothing - both times, Hiwot expertly colored and cut my hair, and I left feeling (and looking) so much better! As an added bonus, the shampoo person was awesome on my last visit. read more

I visited Salon Revive for the first time and the service was awesome. My stylist was Lily; she did an excellent job caring for my hair. I also appreciated the time she took to discuss my hair care needs. Lily was gentle with my hair and was very knowledgeable about hair in general. I felt welcomed as soon as I walked into the salon. The receptionist was professional and provided beverages while I was being pampered by Lily. I was also given a smock to wear during my service to cover my clothes, along with the normal drape beauticians use. I thought this was a nice touch to avoid any mishaps with products on my clothes. I highly recommend this Salon for all hair types. They use all Aveda products and will explain what products they use on your hair as they go. Very nice first experience. +It was clean, +my stylist really cared about healthy hair. +The entire staff was friendly -went for a wash blow and press and my hair was already fluffing up after about an hour I didn't feel overcharged, but just wasn't really happy with the end results as I'm now looking for someone with a regular old school hot iron to go over/touch up what they've done. The receptionist promptly greeted me, took my jacked, and was very nice. All in all, my experience with the services I suppose I can say was a good one, but I nevertheless will continue my search to find a new salon here in DC. It was somewhat sub-par compared to other salons I have been to. Alyssa did a good job on my hair. The color looks really natural and she absolutely listened to all of my input on the style of cut I wanted. While Alyssa has evidently recently been voted #2 best stylist in the DC area by some dc magazine's readership (she bragged a little about this to me), I really didn't think that there was anything about her hair styling skills for my cut or for the woman I saw her cut before me that were particularly impressive. While my cut here was definitely better than the one I got at Parlour Salon, it otherwise ranks as average among my Chicago and Indiana hair experiences. The salon itself was what really underwhelmed me. I was never offered water or coffee as I am used to. I poured myself a cup of some kind of tea, which was honestly really disgusting. When I was directed to the seating area of the salon for my highlights to process, I sat down next to a pot of heating wax. (really? put that somewhere else. Or do you wax your customers' eyebrows right in the front window?) The salon is sparsely decorated and is sort of oddly placed among convenience stores and ethnic restaurants. There is no posh feeling the way an upscale salon should be, and is definitely not the kind of beauty refuge where one would come to relax. While I was having my haircut, another customer was in the changing room and the door got stuck with her inside. If that weren't problematic enough, the music was so loud that no one heard her in there for several minutes. Thank goodness the owner's husband was there to help her try to get out! So in short -reasonably priced. $130 for my cut and partial highlight -Alyssa is a good hairstylist -great for someone who wants to get in, out, and on with her life, but not for someone who comes to a salon for any sort of "experience" read more

I needed a trim BADLY. I usually get one every three months, but this time I waited an astonishing 5 months before going to the salon for this quarterly ritual. Luckily, Heran was there to save me. Well, since I can no longer patronize my previous Ethiopian salon, LeChic, I decided to seek another. Well, Revive was definitely pricey; however, I sincerely hoped it was worth it since I get my hair fixed about every 10-14 days---sometimes more often. The customer service was amazing; however, my stylist bragged about all of the products and explained the rationale for an $80 shampoo, blow out and style. My only hope was whether it would be worth it. By the way, she also encourage a deep conditioner, (additional $40). I'm really glad I did not purchase it. My hair/curls looked like a home hairdo---it also lasted the same way. She was nice and on time. My hair looked better when I arrived---curly and thick. What a waste of money$$. read more

I'm here in DC for the summer and I happened to try this place because of the great reviews.. Hiwot is AMAZING! Not only is she a super sweetpie.. but she got my African-American all natural super thick-curly hair bone straight! The conditioning treatments are a bit pricey (the one I got was $25 extra and the other is $40 more) but I think it was TOTALLY worth every penny! I still ended up coming out cheaper than what I thought I would! I have an appt for next week before I leave DC! TWO THUMBS UP! read more

I'm another Black woman w/ natural (extra kinky, 100% African) hair. This is definitely the most professional, pleasant, and best-prepared salon I've visited in 4 yrs in DC. I was referred to Vonetta who wasn't available at the time so I was assigned to Hiwot. Been working with her for a few sessions now and while pleased with her in general, I don't know that I'm all that happy with my hair. Kind of got the impression that though she may be familiar with natural hair, she's not familiar with THIS sort of natural hair (4c, extra coily). PROS: On my first visit, she was very attentive, gave me a thorough and helpful consultation and explained everything she was doing as she did it. She recommended a phytorelaxer to loosen my hair up which I conceded to and was pleased with, followed by a rod-set (which was cute though the definition disappeared within hours through no fault of hers). CONS: the styling in the sessions afterward seemed a bit hit-and-miss. The twists were anemic, oddly-spaced (too big revealing way too much scalp in-between), and just unwearable. I re-did it as soon as I got home. My color also seemed uneven (HELLA bright at the roots, dark at the ends)--which was that much more conspicuous b/c there was so much scalp/root showing with the twists! Besides the somewhat dubious familiarity with my hair texture, I was also a bit put off by the fact that the poor assistant did most of the work during my second appointment, from prepping my head, washing/conditioning, applying color, and installing half the twists. SIgh... so I'm still on the fence. I'll return for Hiwot's gracious bedside manner and professionalism but will probably never ask her to attempt twists again. I think I'll go a round with Vonetta just for comparison's sake. Echo the comments on price ($200 for a simple wash/condition + color rinse and rod-set) but once you hit a stride w/ your stylist, I think it's a justifiable expense. read more

Upon arriving for my 10am appointment on time, I was made to stand outside, during a day of extreme winds. They keep the front door locked for some reason. Anyway, the receptionist motioned to me after a moment but continued speaking on her cell. After a minute, she finished the call and finally let me in. She checks me in then went to notify the stylist. I over hear her asking what I was getting done. The receptionist walked me over and I sit next to her chair...she's working on someone and says to me "what are you getting" in an annoyed tone. I told her I have a sew-in & I just need wash/style. She then loudly asks me while touching my hair, "is this fake?!, it looks fake!" I was shocked and completely embarrassed. I told her no. She goes "well if it's fake we can't do it, you won't be able to get it done". I am flabbergasted. I asked her what she thought it was?! Should have left then. She then tested a small piece & said "I didn't burn, I guess it's fine". After a few mins I'm ushered to the shampoo bowl. After another few moments the shampoo girl says "sorry, it's going to be a few minutes". I wait. 15 minutes later another stylists asks me to get up so she can wash her client. Someone cleaned a chair off for me and again, I waited! Noticing my annoyance another stylists asks another shampoo girl if she could take me when done. At 10:45 I get back into the chair for a very poor shampoo experience. You should ask if there are any itchy spots. I'm wearing weave!!! After washing, I sit next to the stylists chair and another client has come in. The stylists introduced herself and says "Hi, I'm Dion, I'll be taking care of you". Never ONCE did she introduce herself to me. I felt slighted. Dion then puts me under the dryer. After drying, I get in her chair. After a bit. She says "oh, this hair is so nice, it is real. So nice it seems fake". Then asks if I "had big plans". At this same time, Dion's client goes to the receptionist to complain. She was supposed to be under the dryer for 20 mins but was under for an hour. She asks if this is normal practice to keep their clients waiting. She's assured all will be ok. The client sits back down & eventually Dion says to her, "I'm sorry for the delay, but word or advice, you née to book early if you want to leave early. We really busy today. You must have booked at the last minute." The client responds that she didn't. Dion says "well, they usually gives last minute clients to me because I'm new". She apologies to her and 5 minutes later she apologizes to me. All this transpired while working on my hair. The audacity to blame the client. I didn't book last minute. AWFUL. I do not recommend you spend your hard earned money here. Spend with business who appreciate you. read more

I just moved to DC from San Franciso and was in desperate need of a good highlighting job. Hiwot was AMAZING and I highly suggest her. She is part owner of the Salon and the nicest lady! I went in wanting to go darker blond, because my hair was pretty much platinum and I was over it, and she worked with me step by step. I have been to a lot of up scale hair salons and have never been so satisfied with my highlights. I would go to her if you are willing to spend money on your hair. It is worth it though. read more

I adore this salon! Hiwot is wonderful and the pricing for an Aveda Salon in DC isn't too bad (the only less expensive option in the city is at the Institute at Gallery Place, but I had a bad experience there). They always do a great job here and Hiwot offers suggestions on slight changes for my color and cut, which turn out well. One time I think it it processed for a bit too long, but the toner seemed to fix that. Definitely give it a try, I can usually get in for an appointment within a week of the day I call. read more

As a black woman, it's hard to find someone you can trust to DO (cut/color/style) your hair who will do a perfect job without breaking the bank. My search is over because I found Vonetta Dumas. I LOVE my haircut and color. She made me very happy and I've received tons of compliments and I JUST left the salon!!! I can't sing her praises loud enough. I am going to go back to maintain the upkeep of this fabulous color and cut. I'm speechless because I am so happy with everything she did. She was efficient, made great recommendations, very professional, attentive and have I mentioned the cut and color?! The salon is neat, clean and the staff is very friendly. The salon is multicultural, so they can accommodate any customer. I got to watch Vonetta and the other staff take customers with very tight curly hair and make it pin straight. I have had very long hair in the past- below my bra line- and recently cut it short for a different look. I moved to WDC in June 2011 after living in NYC for many years. I was a customer of the Miss Jessie's Salon for the past 10 years and LAMENTED having to find a new salon after my move. All summer when walking around WDC when I saw a woman wearing her hair natural or in a natural inspired textured style I would kindly stop her and ask her where did she get her hair cut and styled. 3 out 5 people I spoke to said they went to Salon Revive and saw the stylist Yodit. After months of procrastinating I saw Yodit for a haircut and deep conditioner yesterday. The haircut was exactly what I was looking for. I am a person who can communicate clearly what I want and am well researched and experienced in what is right for MY hair. I felt like I was listened to and respected while Yodit explained what she thought my hair needed and as we discussed how to proceed. I had a wonderful experience at the salon. The staff was welcoming and well organized. My appointment was for 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon. The salon was not over crowded but busy and business picked up once I was being serviced. I did not wait long at any step of the process. Yodit was warm and friendly, explaining all the products used and why she was recommending a particular service or product. Now- this is an Aveda concept salon so Aveda products are what they use and promote. Under that umbrella I was very happy with my service and will return to see Yodit again for a haircut, deep conditioner and possibly color as well. read more

This is a great salon that really specializes in natural hair. The salon is clean and well-lit with a professional, nice receptionist. Lily colored and trimmed my hair, and gave me a blowout. She gave a lot of guidance and advice about how to help my hair grow and get healthier. She really took her time to make sure I was pleased at every step. I am thrilled with how my hair came out! This was one of my absolute favorite salon experiences. I got a hair cut and hydration treatment with Yodit. This was only my second hair cut since I've had natural hair, the first was a devacut that was cute at first, was really damaging as my fine strands didn't hold up well with the razor cut. Back to this experience. Yodit was extremely warm and did a consultation explaining what she thought would be best in my hair. She suggested the salon's wash and go method, and I was extremely apprehensive as I don't typically like to wear my hair in that style. She told me the other two options were $85 and $105, but really felt like I should consider wearing my natural curls. After washing my hair, Yodit showed me a test on my hair of how it would look using her wash and go technique, and we decided to move forward with it. I sincerely appreciated her 1. pushing me to wear my hair the way it's meant to be worn, and 2. not pushing me to spend more money. While she styled my hair, she thoroughly explained what she was doing to my hair, and how I could do this at home. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I'm a little mad I didn't do it sooner. I also appreciated that while Yodit is the master stylist/owner, she charged the same rates as the other stylists in yj salon. I'll most certainly be back at Salon Revive and in Yodit's chair for maintenance going forward. read more

I'm natural and had visited another salon nearby (that shall remain nameless) for a trim. A week after the trim I did my own blowout/flat iron and noticed that my hair was uneven and that the ends were extremely raggedy looking everywhere but the very back. I went back to the nameless salon to ask them about it and they blamed it on my flat iron. Shocked and frustrated, I googled "natural salon U street" and Salon Revive came up. So I rushed in and told the receptionist my sob story. She told me that all the stylists there could do natural hair but that they were all booked. But she told me to hold on and went to speak with the owner. Turns out, she was able to take me since someone cancelled. Thank goodness because Hiwot evened out the trim and did a beautiful blowout for just $65. And I appreciated the tips she gave me about how to maintain the volume by pin curling the crown at night, and not using too much product (nameless salon caked on the product so much that I had to wash my hair the very next day after getting it done). I was such a happy camper that I booked a steam treatment and trim. And after raving about my experience, 2 friends booked appointments as well. Unfortunately the back of my hair, which is finer than the rest of my hair, suffered from some heat damage from the blowout. When I returned for my steam treatment, I mentioned it to Hiwot and she said we could trim some of the back. I was a little disappointed (I don't need to lose any more length!), but just wanted my curls back to normal. The steam treatment was fine, then Hiwot styled my hair with Paul Mitchell's foaming pommade and sat my under the dryer. I wasn't taken with the style and pommade, especially since the product left white residue in my hair. But after going home and trying some of the products that I knew would achieve the same result (defining the curls), I settled on Miss Jessie's Stretch Silkening Creme (smells great too!) But I will go back...I need someone to give my hair some TLC and trimming every once in awhile and Salon Revive is the best that I've experienced thus far. My only negative comment for Salon Revive is that the asian man who does the shampoo seems so aloof and in another world. He could try smiling and being pleasant towards customers. Oh, and you can't add tip to your total when using a card, so have some cash! read more

I Loooveee How my hair looks!! I found my spot!! I saw all the yelp reviews, but was still reluctant until a friend raved about it to me. My hair had become shapeless and I wanted some type of curly layers for my Biracial curls. The wash was good--not great, which is why I wouldn't give the salon five stars. He seemed like he was rushing and had some trouble detangling my hair so he seemed judgmental--I hate judgmental stylists!Also, I don't like how the salon only has pictures of white women with straight hair and serves tons of Black clientele, and has mostly Black workers. The owner (I will spell her name wrong--so I wont try) cut my hair and she made sure that I was o.k. with everything she was doing. Big fan. I went into Salon Revive on a whim after looking at my dead ends and admitting it was time for a cut. I managed to get an appointment the same day, and walked my curly-frizzy-head right in there. Waited about 7 minutes, then things got started. I was paired with Lily, who's a sweetheart. She seemed to know what she was doing--blow dried my very, very thick hair, cut it nice and even, and then flat ironed it. What I loved is she explained all the products to me, so I understood what she was doing. I think I found my new place in DC. I have blond hair that I keep long and get cut and highlighted (foil) every 8-10 weeks or so. I've gone to Tizita twice now and I just love her. She does a great job and she's clearly thoughtful about color and cut. She is also very sweet but she won't talk your ear off, which I seriously appreciate. Both times I've felt that she really listened to what I wanted in terms of how I wanted the color to come out and the cut I was looking for. I'm even happier this time than I was last time. Prices are in line with what I had been paying in Boston before I moved to DC ($150 for cut+partial foil, $175 for cut+full foil, not including tip) and Tizita was sure to let me know that even though she wanted to use two different shades of color it would still be the same price. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way in my book. I also love their online appointment booking system. You can search by stylist or just pick the first available and it will give you all the options on the day you're looking to book. They will send you an email confirmation and also call to confirm your appointment. This was one of the big reasons I picked Revive in the first place, and I'm glad I did. I am an African-American woman who has been through the works with stylists, braids, extensions, etc. I decided I wanted a cute, short cut for the summer to chop off all the dead hair and get a fresh start. I was scheduled to see Vonetta, but due to a scheduling snafu, I ended up in Hiwot's chair. The lady is amazing. First of all, she's so sweet and I really enjoyed chatting with her. But most importantly, she knows hair. She was able to recommend a hair care regime for me and gave me an excellent cut. I appreciated that Hiwot gave it to me straight and just didn't over-process my hair like so many other stylists. I highly recommend both Salon Revive and Hiwot if you are looking for a professional salon with stylists who know what they're doing. Oh, and another thing I liked was that there was no sales pitch. Hiwot didn't pressure me into buying any products, which I really appreciated. I am a fan. One last thing -- I felt the prices were pretty in line with other Aveda salons. I got a Phyto relaxer, cut and style and it was $160 not including tip. Well worth it, in my book. I'm heading back for a simple wash and style in a couple of weeks and can't wait. read more

I've had great experiences here - I see Galya and she's done everything from highlights to blowout to flatiron. My flatiron didn't last but I'm sure it's because my hair isn't trained and it was humid. However everything else has been excellent, I love my new highlights! I'm terrified about trying out salons for the first time. Therefore the past year I've been traveling down to NC to get my hair done. Inconvenient I know. I finally realized I need a place in DC. I've heard really good things about Salon Revive on Yelp so I finally decided to take a chance. I made my appointment online. It was so simple. It was really easy. I didn't have to go back and forth with anyone of the phone. When I needed to reschedule it took me about 3 minutes online. I was running about 10 minutes late for my appointment. I called to let them know and there was no irritation in the woman's voice what so ever. When I got there they asked was it my first time and showed me around. Then I was taken straight back to Meron. She asked me what I wanted and checked my hair out. She let me know I needed a moisturizing treatment, but was cool when I told her I wanted to wait until the next time. Then I went to the shampoo area. I can't believe I didn't ask the shampoo guy's name, but he was HEAVEN. The best shampoo I have ever had hands down. He made sure the water temperature was exactly how I wanted it. Then scrubbed and massaged my scalp perfectly. I thought I was at a spa! He also blew out my hair. Here's a little background about my hair. I'm all natural. My hair is EXTREMELY thick and I usually get grunts from people trying to blow it out. Either I missed his grunt or my hair thickness didn't frighten him. When he finished I could already tell that my hair was going to come out amazing. Once he finished he sent me back to Meron. I only set for about 4 minutes while I waited for her to finish her last client. Meron straightened my hair so well that I walked out the salon looking like a got a fresh relaxer! I'm one of the people who also take a comb to the hair salon so I can tweak it how I want when I leave. That day I happened to leave it at home. Thank God; I didn't even need! I was so in love with my look. Even better, she reminded me that while I loved the straight look I don't need to have it straightened every week. She wasn't just concerned about that I was happy with my look; she wanted to make sure my hair stays healthy as well. I was so impressed that before I left I made another appointment in 2 weeks to get a moisturizing treatment and straw set. I'm very picky about my hair, but I trust Salon Revive with it. I'm glad that I've found a new home with them. No more NC hair travels for me! read more
