I hired a hair artist and a makeup artist from Salon Twelve for my wedding this year. Unfortunately, they both dropped out of our contract one month before the wedding. They refunded the deposit and the amount I had already paid for our trial. They recommended a replacement, but when I let them know that that replacement was not available for my date, they did not reply and did not help me find a new hair and makeup artist. This was super stressful, and I felt totally hung out to dry. Before the cancellation, they were also very unresponsive to my questions about finalizing the contract, organizing the timeline for the wedding morning, etc. Since they cancelled so last minute, it was very hard to find a replacement (we got married on a summer Saturday in Napa - so we had originally booked them many months in advance!) I eventually rebooked with another salon, and ended up needing to pay quite a bit more, but I did much prefer my final look to the look from my trial at this salon. read more

I got a sewn in weft for the first time and had it in for several weeks. I had it moved up during the time I was supposed to. I took good care of my hair the same way I had before. When I had the weft removed, I noticed my hair was severely damaged and much thinner than usual. I let my stylist know that the hair was kind of heavy at my first move up and asked if half the weft would be an option, and she said we could check that out another time if needed and that it wouldn't really do anything for my hair--basically saying we wouldn't notice half a weft and it wouldn't give any effect to the hair. I spent the last couple months just being assured and reassured that my hair would be fine. I reached out to the stylist to let her know I'm seeing a lot of damage post removal. My hair was not this damaged toward the bottom and it was more full. Before seeing any photos and having not taken any herself, my stylist said there is absolutely no damage to my hair and promised that it's the same as it had been. How does someone confidently say that when their client is opening themselves up to tell them their experience? When being denied my experience, my stylist included an "I'm sorry you feel that way". Man, do I wish this was a feeling.... This is my reality now. "I'm sorry you feel that way" is sounds like an apology, but doesn't actually take responsibility for actions or impact on the other person's feelings or experience. It can be interpreted as shifting the blame onto the person experiencing the emotion, rather than acknowledging the speakers' role in it. As you'll notice in these photos, my hair is now clearly damaged as if it broke off due to the extensions being too heavy. I would absolutely not recommend extensions for fine/thin hair at Salon Twelve. I have no idea how long it's going to take to get my hair back to normal and this is the biggest hair regret of my life. I feel completely taken advantage of and heartbroken. read more

I wasn't going to write a bad review, but the salon's handling of this whole thing as of yesterday really irks me. The stylist had an expired license and accepted payment for butchering my hair...yikes. And not a week expired. Months expired. That is an invalid license. I don't want my money back, but I will say something to prevent other people with beautiful long hair from the misery of what happened to me. I reported it to the licensing board, but am not expecting much. First time in all my years to report a salon. Whatever discomfort this causes them pales in comparison to the six months of hell I will have waiting for this ugly mess to grow out. I looked at so many sites and photos before choosing this Salon for what should be a no brainer simple trim/cut and it went horribly wrong. The stylist they recommended had a profile that clearly identified she liked cutting hair shorter than I like and I was reassured she does long hair beautifully. I asked for boob length hair and ended up with hair in a god awful long bob shape that falls right under my clavicle. It is choppy looking to boot. The hair in the back is longer than the hair in the front! Yuck. It is going to take at least six months to grow this god awful mess back out. Thanks a lot. Here is the part that ticks me off. The salon took my feedback and insisted they are known for their long hair. Then said that maybe this stylist is just human after all and made a mistake. Well, the stylist they recommended ended up having an expired license since January 31, 2025 and I had my hair massacred on May 8, 2025. When I pointed this out they insisted via text that her license was current. I sent a screenshot of the expired license from the Department of Consumer Affairs site and they said they "have a lot of problems with that site". The gall. Next thing they say that she will have it fixed by the end of the day. Beyond unprofessional. If memory serves she did not have a license up at her station either. I should have taken note. Can stylists make mistakes? Yes. But what I see is someone who is so not focused on her business that she lets her license lapse for months while still wielding the scissors. Her brain is somewhere else. On auto pilot she whacked off most of my hair into what she likes to do...just like her profile says! My hair will grow back...but who wants to go through all of this? I would recommend having a coffee at the Starbucks across from the Salon and watch the clients go in and out. That is the hair you are going to leave with regardless of what you specified based on my own experience. Oh, and check the license before you sit in the chair! I so badly needed a haircut and Grey from Salon Twelve delivered! It had been a while since my last cut (due to COVID and the all the restrictions) and I was so thrilled when Grey responded quickly to my email for an appointment. It was very easy to communicate back and forth through text and share with her photos of what I was hoping to achieve. I had virgin, very long dark brown going into the appointment and was hoping to walk out with soft layers and natural looking balayage highlights. Grey did an amazing job at listening and making sure the length, style, and color were what I wanted. Thank you, Grey! The salon was also super clean, bright, and tidy. I wanted to thank you and all the stylists that helped make me and my friends/family so beautiful on my wedding day. We had Sarah, Jessica and Alison and they were all fabulous! They did a fantastic job on each and every girl, and were extremely flexible when some of the girls had "changes" or wanted additional services. Their personalities fit right in with the group and made a somewhat overwhelming day less stressful (for me, at least)! To give you some anecdotal feedback, several of my bridesmaids had not elected to have their makeup done because they've had bad experiences in the past. However, once they saw Sarah's work on the first girl, 3 of them changed their mind and couldn't stop raging about what an amazing job she did! One of my bridesmaids also told me that I should do my makeup the way Sarah did it more often, a sign that it was flattering but also natural. My hair was also a huge hit. I am known for my curly, long hair and everyone was noticeably skeptical when I said I wanted to do it back and up. I cannot even tell you how many compliments I received that day on my hair. I am STILL getting compliments when I see friends and family about it, even though it's been a month! I've attached a few photos that my friend took with her fancy camera; I thought you might want them for your website or portfolio or something. If you don't do anything with them, no worries, but I figured I'd at least pass them along. Please make sure Jessica knows how much she rocks! I chose this Aveda salon specifically because the website advertised a scalp and shoulder massage with oil. Not only was there no massage, my scalp has never been so sore after a haircut as it was after this. I've been only once, but I had a second appointment for this afternoon which was cancelled by the salon less than an hour before it was too start. I'm tremendously disappointed as I was very much looking forward to it. While already on my way to the salon - a 45 minute drive, mind you - I received a phone call asking me to move my appointment by at least an hour and a half, as there was someone with some color correction who had been in the salon for over 3 hours already. I said, no, I cannot move an hour and a half, I have plans directly after my appointment. I'm not sure why, but the receptionist then put me on hold and came back saying that she was sorry and that I would have a discount on my next appointment. The offer for a discount came only after I said it wasn't possible for me to postpone this afternoon. Had I agreed to come in an hour and a half later it would have been full price. The receptionist then said that she'd try to find someone else with time to cut my hair today, but before allowing me to say no, I'm not interested in that option, she put me on hold. The end result of that was that no one was available - which I already knew as she started the conversation with that information. I understand that some people overrun their appointments for various reasons, and I guess I should be happy I got a phone call ahead of the appointment starting, but I will not go back. read more

First off, I have never been to this salon but I wanted to try it since there were some really good reviews. I'm growing out my hair and try to get a trim every 4-6 weeks. Since I get frequent cuts, I try to get the best deals to save some money. One way I do this is looking on Groupon, Yelp Deals and living social. So I called the salon to make an appointment. I told the girl who answered that I had a groupon. She was really nice until I told her I had a groupon, her attitude changed immediately. She pretty much told me that they groupon deal was for their "new talent" stylist so that she could build up her clientele and she didn't have an available appointment for about 3-4 weeks. I understood that but no where on the groupon did it say it was for just that person. Plus, I've read reviews saying that other stylist have honored the groupon deal. Also the groupon is for $29 when the cuts are normally $60. I went on their website and the new talent price is $35. So, I would be saving $5 and have to wait 3-4 weeks? Seems pretty ridiculous to me. I also don't appreciate the way I was spoken to. I deserve to be treated like any other customer wether I purchased a groupon or not. read more

I must first say that they fit me in on a Friday. I had a wedding to go to Saturday so I was lucky. They did call to have me come in an hour early, which was OK since I was just running errands for the day. Good, standard aveda haircut. My only complaint is the layering, the stylist brought them up too short which doesn't work for my wavy, thick hair. I ended up with a layer that sits right at the start of a wave, flipping out about 4 inches above the longest pieces. It's just my hair type, I end up with a "Rachel" on top and a long flat layer underneath. Not too flattering, and I had just spent 6 months growing out the layers to not do that. It's my fault for not saying something but by the time I realized it was too late. I would still give the cut a 4, but I took off one star bc at aveda salons I'm used to a really good head massage (this was more like a tickle), a mini-facial (none), and offer for makeup touch-up after (none). Also bought some volume powder to refresh my style for the wedding the next day, but it made my hair a gross grease-helmet and I had to run and wash it, severely cutting into my pre-wedding primping time. :( Overall just OK but probably gets better as the sylist gets to know your hair. read more

I bought a Groupon deal and called right after buying it in hopes I could get an appointment within the next 4 days. I was offered one that very night-perfect timing. My stylist was Sabrina. She was nothing short of awesome. She was very easy to talk to which immediately made me more comfortable. She gave a wonderful scalp massage and even plucked my eyebrows for me before the cut. I also was treated to a Keratin treatment. My cut is great, exactly what I asked for after we talked about it. She didn't take too much off the length and her styling at the end was beautiful. This is a great place. I came here to have my makeup and hair done for a family wedding. I had Sarah as my stylist for hair and makeup and she is awesome. We hit it off right away which was nice since we were going to spend the next two hours together. I showed her what I wanted and told her how I like my makeup and told her to go for it. And she did and it was amazing. Now I know how to do my own hair and makeup but who doesn't like to get pampered before an event? I sure do and I am so glad I chose this place. Sarah has been my stylist for several YEARS and she is absolutely wonderful! I am not a big risk taker when it comes to cuts or colors so I let Sarah tell me what she thinks would look good and follow her advice. I have never had a bad cut or color. I ask for layers and she makes sure my hair looks good every time. I have long hair and my split ends are always taken care of. I am very health conscious and want to make sure the best products are used on my hair. All the products they use animal friendly and high quality (97% organic or something like that). I love how my hair stays clean for several days after. A bonus is the scalp and neck massage they do. I know Sarah also does make up, but she has never done my make up so I can't review on that. I would recommend her to everyone. She also sees children and has seen my children several times. read more

I was lucky enough to get to work with Chris. He is just amazing. My hair is thick and very wavy/curly. He put in perfect layers that don't frizz and look great. I loved the pampering of a massage before my wash. Seriously so relaxing. The style that I walked out the door with was perfect - so happy. I have totally found someone that I trust to cut my hair! My most recent treatment was the unbelievable Keratin Complex smoothing serum that has tamed my wild and curly hair into a sleek and sexy style with minimal maintenance. This review is purely for how their appointments are set up. I have gone here before and had a good experience and I tried to book an appointment recently with no success. Basically, they need an online system like Halo Salon in SR. The system they have doesn't work and is purely annoying-it makes them lose business! I tried to call in twice on two separate days and was sent to voicemail (no one ended up calling me back). Since I had a good experience, I decided to give it one more shot and someone happened to answer the phone (yay!). But then she said, "I'll let ***** call you when she is in tomorrow to set up your appointment". And of course... no one calls for days. Ridiculous! They need a new system. read more

Once you go to Alyssa Sherron you will never trust your hair to anyone else. This is the first time I have ever written a review and felt that 5 stars does not come close to expressing how wonderful she is. Truthfully. Alyssa styled my hair for my wedding, as well as for my sister and my niece (she was kind enough to fit my niece in when she was booked to the brim already because of how good she is.) I have had my hair done many times before and I have never felt so beautiful and confident as I did when Alyssa did my hair. She is such an artist, loves what she does, and puts such care into every detail. She did not rush, when I thought it was already more beautiful than I could imagine she took more time to make it even better. When the flowers I brought were too big and not right for my hair she was truthful in the kindness of ways and allowed me to go get more flowers and come back even though the easier thing would be to just stick some flowers in my hair and call it a day. She kept adding detail upon detail and was smiling the whole time. She even offered for me to come back in the afternoon before pictures to re curl if needed because of wind etc. (which I did not need it stayed beautiful all night.) I went from feeling so nervous and stressed about my wedding to feeling like a beautiful princess and I had the best time of my life (and a HUGE part of that was the confidence I felt from my hair.) That may seem silly or like an overstatement but it really isn't. Confidence is a powerful emotion. Everyone loved my hair, I got so many compliments. I am also usually very picky and critical about my hair, and now I will never go to somebody else no matter the cost.
