This use to be my favorite pizza place in Beacon, but I will not return. This business was open the entire time other businesses were closed due to COVID-19. During this time, everyone was wearing a mask---but things have changed. About a month ago I went in the store and NOBODY had a mask on; cashier, kitchen crew, front crew and owner. They also allowed someone to come into the place with no mask, when signs are clearly on the door stating, "no mask, no service, no entry" --something like that. Went to a nearby store a few days ago, by my surprise everyone had a mask on--BUT the mask were not on their face. They were on their throat and one had it on his beard--nasty. I have typically had good experiences with Sal's until recently. I like their pasta, and steak sandwiches, and the pizza is okay. I even liked one of delivery guys who was always friendly and on time. Needless to say, I ordered from there a lot. That being said, I've gotten terrible service on my last two orders. I placed an order and shortly over an hour later, saw the delivery guy through a window turn around in a parking lot and drive off. I called the restaurant and they said it had just went out and he was probably finding parking. Another 15 minutes go by and still nothing. I called them again and explained my situation and was told "hold on" before waiting on the phone for 2 minutes before finally being hung up on. I called back and was hung up on again. Then, they stopped answering until I called on a different phone. At this point, I'm hangry and while I was really looking forward to my eggplant parm, decided I didn't want to wait to see how much longer they'd take and requested a refund which they agreed to. The time before that, they didn't include the side salad or bread that usually comes with the chicken penne rosa, and the delivery took close to an hour (they're 3 minutes down the street but I order from work and can't leave). I used to be a delivery driver so I can understand that things get hectic, but as a frequent customer who is just down the street and tips well, you'd hope to be treated well and not hung up on. read more

Placed an Order today for delivery. Guy on the phone was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My order was perfectly packed, arrived hot and the food was amazing. The shrimp scampi was to die for. Plenty of jumbo sized shrimp, made with fresh ingredients, served with perfectly al dente Pasta. The chicken parmigiana with spaghetti was also delicious. The chicken was perfectly breaded and fried crisp without that oily taste. Red sauce tasted fresh and reminded me of homemade sauce. The rigatoni a la vodka with chicken was creamy, fresh and delicious. All of the dishes can easily serve two people. The garlic bread was hot and had a nice bite to it. Amazing pizza and even better cold cut sandwiches. As locals, we love ordering from here and Sals never disappoints. I prefer ordering by the slices because they are huge slices, so if you don't need to order large pizza pies, go for solo slices. They are crispy and delicious. My husband always orders chicken bacon ranch pizza and devours it. I usually get a plain slice or white slice. You can't go wrong with either choices. For cold cut sandwiches, the italian combo is pretty good - the bread makes it even better. Fresh bread and just a tad crunchy the way we like it. read more

Used to go here all the time, and still generally enjoy their food. Their other location in Fishkill which also delivers to Beacon is better. The reason for my one star review is their shady business practices. Yesterday (5/31/2019) I ordered pizza, simply a large cheese pizza, for pickup. When I arrived I provided my credit card, was charged and was offered a receipt and declined. This is a huge error on my part. They did not ask for a signature, because they charged me $38... $20 more than their menu price. When I got my charge message I noticed the charge discrepancy, I attempted to call. But they were closed. Will try and contact again and update with any results. Food is good. Just make sure to bring cash along as they are shady with Credit Cards. I will be reporting them to my Credit card company, as any charge of that amount requires a signature... hopefully they will be put on notice. read more

Not bad, but not the best in town. Kids love their giant-sized slices though.

3.5 stars. Sorry sals I've had some decent pizza here but the last few times the slices were flavorless, cold, and doughy. The chicken Marsala dinner was tasty but swimming in an ocean of butter. This is a once in a blue moon place for me now. I will say that their pies and slices are always extremely generous and service is always good. read more

Sal's Pizzeria is one of the best pizza places I've been to. Their slice pizza is just amazing (and inexpensive compared to others). The staff is friendly and all the food is great. The air conditioning is a bit lacking in the summer but I would expect that being that they have a huge oven right there behind the counter. Another thing about Sal's pizza is that the slices are huge and they will even sell you an extra large pie to take home, the same that they use for their slice pizza! You definitely get a big bang for your buck here. read more

Taste and service was horrible. Got a half chicken bacon ranch large pie and the other half just cheese and was charged $25! There was barely any chicken on half of the pie and the chicken tasted like rubber. I could've gone to a better pizzeria with better prices but I wanted to give this place a try. I called Sal's Pizza to place an order. They told me they wouldn't deliver to the Beacon train station. MEANWHILE, it is 0.5 mile away from the restaurant but they claimed it would be too complicated. Don't see the complication it's a rather tiny station read more

I Love Sals. Easily the best pizza around. Their Ziti pizza is a force to be reckoned with while the classic plain slice can't be over looked either. Individual slices are huge and priced fairly. The extra large pizza is ginormous and worth every penny. read more

This place is tied for first as my favorite pizza place of all time. I have gone here regularly for the past two years and never been disappointed. Sal is a great guy, very friendly and remembers you if you come around often. His extra large pizza is so big it will not fit through a standard width residential doorway without tilting the box. The value for the amount and quality of food you receive is very hard to beat. This is the home of the best Chicken-Bacon-Ranch pizza in the world (awarded by me and my circle of friends, not an official title, but it should be!). The food is great here, i love their pizzas; the pizzas arrive hot and full of toppings they don`t cheat you out of anything. the pizzas are large, you get what you are paying for.they is a huge range of different pizzas for each taste bud. They do deliver and it is very quick, and unlike other delivery places, where the driver demands a tip, the drivers a sal's are nice and friendly and they don`t demand any tips. We ordered half and half White -pie (with mushrooms) and Pesto -pie and Fried Veggies. The fried veggies should be called fried broccoli cause that is all there was with 2 pieces of fried mushroom. What we got was a whole white pie with some pesto sauce sprinkled on one half- no basil, no garlic, barely any tomato. And they charged us 5 $ extra for doing the half and half without informing us before. Overall very disappointed. Will never go there again read more
