The restaurant is small, with a large bar smack in the middle, there's plenty of lighting because of the huge windows. I may be a little addicted to their breakfast tacos. My fav in Dallas by far! I keep telling myself I will return for their lunch menu because Ive seen them prepping it and it looks amazing but I can't resist ordering this particular breakfast taco! And they serve breakfast items all day! Heaven. I get mine with egg, potato, bacon, cheese, and avocado on a toasty tortilla with salsa. I usually order two or three and eat the next day to save an extra trip. It reheats well in a moist towel. They cook to order so it's always hot and fresh. My biggest tip is to double check the order before you leave. On occasion they have accidentally missed an ingredient and I didn't realize until I got home but this is not usually an issue. Let me start off by saying the food is so delicious. I wanted to go back and order some more food but the line was just too long, the service here is great as they take your food to the table. The place itself was a little bit too warm maybe because the building has too many windows in particular, it was just really warm in there but the ambience overall was great. The place is surrounded by office buildings so a lot of office personnel having lunch there I was going to end up giving them a five star but what was really holding me back was it it took me about 25 minutes to find parking and it was just a little bit too warm inside the restaurant. I was quite surprised by how expensive it was as my total ended up being like $21 for 3 tiny tacos and chips with guac. I really did enjoy my food and their salsas that they had up at the counter. They also gave a very generous serving of guacamole considering I got a small size and it was too much for me to finish with the amount of chips they gave me. I have mixed feelings about this place. It has a cute and clean atmosphere. The food is fairly cheap fast food. The taste left alot to be desired. The tacos were just ok. The queso wasn't great. The refried beans literally tasted like that weird bean dip from a can you can buy on the chip aisle at the grocery store. I went with the campeon burrito which was advertised as their recommended order. It has rice, beans, Barbacoa, avocado, and a cream sauce inside. Gave this place a try last night since were visiting down the road. We ordered barbacoa tacos, capital chicken taco, cheese quesadilla, barbacoa quesadilla, chips & salsa and queso. Barbacoa was not that flavorful. Seemed dry in the tacos. But seemed juicy in the quesadilla. Maybe bc of the cheese inside, who knows. Wouldn't get again and we LOVE barbacoa. Capitan chicken was really good, I enjoyed it. Quesadillas were decent. The rice that comes with it, seemed mushy and wasn't as "heaven" as they advertise. Had way better. Salsa, though in a very small container for $1.50 was good, but foe the price wouldn't get or recommend. Queso tasted like velveeta or something, not rea queso. For $3 it is most def not worth the price or even the taste. They only give you a little bit, it's such a huge waste of money honestly. (See pics) We also had margaritas to go, again - don't waste money. I tasted way more sour than I did any alcohol. If there was even any in there. We did curbside pick up, so who knows if they actually put it in. But for $8, not worth it. The only thing we enjoyed was capitan chicken taco for the price. The salsa was good, it worth the price. We are sad to leave this review, my wife and I have been coming to Salsa Limon as regular customers for almost two years, sure the food is average but consistent for quick bites and the employees are always the best, so welcoming and friendly! Tonight sadly will be our last dinner here, there are way to many homeless around the area, we have to navigate at times with the homeless on the sidewalk to enter or they are just hanging around loitering asking for money. We hate to say it but if you continue to allow them into your restaurant, use the bathrooms and give them free cups to get water They will Continue to COME IN!! You're encouraging this problem, the YMCA is one block away where they have access to what they need. Tonight a homeless guy walked in, his pants are down to his ankles literally naked, he stunk up the entire restaurant with urine and feces smell it made our stomachs turn and couldn't eat anymore, we threw away our half eaten dinners. This guy was given a free cup, he walked everywhere in the restaurant then to get water, walked by all your customers and really smelled up the place. We had to walk out the back door of your restaurant along with another couple to escape the noxious smell! This is not the first time we experienced this while eating here in fact in the past year over 9-10 times for certain we have seen and experienced this. I would think paying customers would be the people you would want to attract and keep rather than allowing the homeless to frequent your facility, touch the drinks machines, counters and salsa dispensers with their dirty hands and give them free cups to walk around and get refills. We all have to touch these areas as well after they just contaminated those areas with who know what.... Sorry Amigos, we hate to leave this review but it's all truth, hopefully you will appeal to the city to remove the homeless from your area which I'm sure has an impact to your bottom line sales/revenue, not to mention my wife never feels safe when we come when it's after dark outside. Update review, to the owner who responded: thank you kindly for your response and we understand how the homeless can get violent with you if you don't give in to them, we have been yelled out by a homeless person in our restaurant and we witnessed a 7 Eleven employee and a homeless person attacking each other with a baseball bat next door in the middle of the street while we were trying to get to your restaurant on another occasion. We understand trying to help those in need however as a place of business/ serving food allowing people to enter with feces/ urine or naked in and allowing them to touch things paying customers need to use is completely unsatisfactory. This is not only your problem but many businesses downtown that the city is allowing to sadly take over and ruin. If they drive customers away you all will have no business and unfortunately have to close if this problem continues to escalate. The safety of my wife/ customers is most important including the cleanliness of those who are entering the restaurant. If you feel the need to help people perhaps put signage to direct them to the YMCA one block down the street where they can get the help and resources they need instead of encouraging them to come in or have security at the front door to move them along in addition to keeping your employees safe since they are also confronted by them?
