Guacamole is an add on and worth it for the texture and real avacado flavor and a good amount. The people are always so nice and service is great, (I can't overemphasize that), whether you're taking to go or dining in. I mostly take out and go home, where everyone is ready to dig in, but while I'm getting my orders I always notice the people eating there are enjoying themselves. Their red salsa is really flavorful, however, and that amplifies the flavors. I definitely would come back if I were in the area, in order to try their tacos, burritos, and ceviches. I hear good things about their fish tacos! Overall, I'm glad that I stopped by when I was in the area.

The salsa was good, but the paper cup started to loose its strength as I used it and refilled it. Another idea is to find some inexpensive, washable mini bowls to use instead. The other slightly odd think was the lack of napkins. I was given a plastic bowl with chips, and then my burrito was delivered to my table when it was ready. Neither was served with napkins. When I looked around for them, I didn't see any so I went to the cashier and asked for some. I was handed one napkin. I'd prefer to get at least one delivered with the chips and/or main food purchase. When back in the area, I'm willing to pay another visit. I'll try to order the tacos, which I hear are good.

This place is a real gem. We pride ourselves on knowing great Mexican food and Salsa Verdes has it. From the taco to the mole the food is some of the best in the South Bay. By the way...believe it or not our idiotic California government is trying to turn this iconic building they are in into low income housing!!! Crazy!!! Please visit and support this wonderful restaurant and their awesome staff. Thank you! One more thing...my wife's grandmother owed the Tijuana Inn restaurant in Gardena back in the day and her enchilada sauce was incredible. ehhhhhhhhhh! It was ok but I can't say that I was crazy about it. I had high hopes but nothing really stood out as awesome. I had the guac which was incredibly salty followed by tacos which were dry and loaded with cabbage so much so that I couldn't handle the taco. I hate writing bad reviews but this just wasn't as great as it should have/could have been. Ill give it another try because it is close to a friends house, maybe next time they'll nail it! read more

THE BEST lobster special!! Great tacos, fish dishes, and enchiladas in the South Bay! I spent Mother's Day there, with unlimited mimosas-- and had a wonderful time! Chips and salsa came out quickly, and both were solid. The salsa had great flavor and just the right kick. I ordered the half Rosa's Special, which was around 16 to 17 dollars. Here is where I have to be honest. It was good, but it felt like it was missing a little something in flavor. And while the plate looked big at first glance, the portion ended up feeling pretty average. For comparison, my local diner Snax serves a massive wet burrito for about the same price, with twice the portion and more punch in flavor. That said, Rosa's is going for a different kind of experience. What really stood out to me was the atmosphere. It genuinely transported me back to those San Jose Mexican spots I grew up loving. That alone makes me want to come back and give it another shot. Maybe I will try the tacos dorados next time. Bonus, they have albondigas, and it is pretty good. Four stars for now. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are chasing that old school vibe.

When we opened the food at work, we were very disappointed. The shrimp fajita had only four shrimp, the wet burrito had virtually no carne asada in it, and the red sauce on the enchiladas tasted sour and bitter. We tried to eat the food without complaining, but it was bad enough that we felt we needed to call and let them know. The employee who answered told us to bring the food back if we wanted a refund. I explained that we had already eaten some of it, and she simply repeated that we would need to bring it back to get our money back. There was no apology, no attempt to make things right, and no effort to offer any kind of solution or compensation. Between the poor food quality and the lack of customer service, this was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had.
