Who knew Cedarcrest has such a business? A local café? That's fabulous! My friend and I meet here recently for an early lunch, yet we decided to order breakfast. Our waiter was so sweet and attentive, an excellent server. My friend ordered a banana pancake, oatmeal, and fruit, and I believe she out ordered me! I enjoyed the basic egg, sausage, grits, biscuit breakfast with one plain (delectable) pancake on the side. We also toasted each other with mimosas, which comes in a variety of flavors. We order takeout breakfast usually once a week. The food is always great! I get the pancakes with the egg and bacon combo and I have to say it is a great deal for the amount of good. My husband loves their Skillet breakfast. I have special instructions and they are followed every time. Friendly staff who are always welcoming even in a pickup order. Soo i woke up one morning with and intense craving for brunch and I had never had Salt & Pepper so I had to check it out. I was feeling ravenous so I ended up ordering 2 meals for myself. I ordered the Banana nut pancake and the super signature chicken biscuit and WOW! The Banana nut pancakes were so good! 3 big sized pancakes with the hint of banana that was absolutely amazing. The Super chicken biscuit was just that! Super. The sweet of the pancakes complimented with the slight spiciness of the chicken biscuit was beautiful. The only reason that I gave them 4 stars is because I was not happy with their COVID protocol. I ordered my food to go so I didn't eat in the restaurant, but there was zero social distancing enforced. The inside seemed like it was at max capacity; every table was filled. Being a healthcare professional I didn't appreciate their lack of safety precautions. I will be back to Salt & Pepper but it will be after COVID is over. You're welcome! read more

Today, on a 35 degree morning we were told to wait outside or in our car with no apologies or justification as they were cleaning tables off as we stood there. We left. They called less than five minutes later and when I said they could keep the table and why we left they claimed it was for space due to "long wait times". Drinks refilled without having to be asked at least for the non coffee drinks. Letting us know when our food was coming. Because the kitchen was behind due to a large order. Now to the food Chicken waffle bites. They haveDelicious. Slightly salty and sweet. Country fried steak with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Steak had the standard sausage and gravy on it.
