Fried ribs with potato salad. Spectacular!
    John D.

Local favorite hits the road. That would be Salt & Pepper Cafe, a family operated Acworth gem we visited a year ago for an incredible brunch. They recently added a food truck and it is just as good. We tried it at The Outpost from Drowned Valley Brewing on Euharlee Creek (near Cartersville). A compact but flavorful menu featured the best food truck meal we've had to date (that includes lobster rolls, craft pizza, Phillies, Asian, etc.) Our new favorite: fried ribs. Five meaty ribs with light breading and just enough fry taste. We were cautious; our annual cardiologist visit was three days off. No worries; this was perfect. The side was a healthy helping of fresh potato salad. We paired it with Drowned Valley's just-released summer shandy (3.5 percent ABV). Also good: Chicken tenders with fries. We've added Salt & Pepper mobile to our stalking list as we'd do this again tomorrow. It was the best $18 we've yet to spend at a food truck. Service: excellent. Fast and you carry a buzzer that tells you the order is up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance. A food truck with a convenient design and friendly folks making magic inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] How good? We're trying to convince them to open a brick-and-mortar closer to Rome, Ga.

The food here was sooo good. We had some parmasean breakfast potatoes to start....and they are definitely a must have. I had the veggie breakfast skillet. It was delicious. Loaded with veggies and the parmasean potatoes (definitely one of the stars of the dish). I went with scrambled eggs and substituted the mozzarella cheese for cheddar. This was my first time coming here and I will definitely be back. My friend is a regular and mentioned needing to get the parmasean potatoes and she was 1000% right. The menu was good and fairly priced. The waitress was amazing. She was attentive, informative and patient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cute little spot now that I know about them ill be back and when its warmer We can sit outside on the patio area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of parking since this is a plaza. Check them out.

I haven't been here in over 4 years. I was in the area with my daughters and decided to stop for brunch. There was a small wait time (15 minutes) but once we were seated, our waitress came right over. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our table was close to the door so every time it opened, we felt a cool breeze.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our food was fresh and hot and we did not wait too long for it. Our server was amazing. Constantly checking on us and making sure our food was to our liking. The service was just super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was packed but the noise level was low while we ate our food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My girls loved it so I know we'll have to come back. My daughter said it was the best omelet she ever had.

A friend and I randomly chose this place in Acworth. Menu prices were very reasonable. The place is not so big. We got there around noon and it was packed but was pretty free around 130p. There was a bit of wait for the food but overall everything tasted good. We got the strawberry waffles, the Traditional Breakfast and the fried steak biscuit with gravy.... Potatoes were nice and crispy. Biscuit for the traditional breakfast arrived over 10mins after the plate was served but it was reallllllyyyy good! So get the biscuit. Took a point off because we sat underneath the dripping AC.... Orange juice wasn't filled all the way. My friend and I had the same size juice but she got more... needed to clean my utensils again... If I'm in the area, it's a place I'd definitely visit again

Food was delicious!! Service was awesome! I believe our servers name was "Araha" or something close too! Told us about the specials! Items that weren't on the menu! Timely with our food and drinks! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside because it was packed inside . But everyone seems to be enjoying the ambiance! 10/10[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was really impressed with the spacious and clean environment…read more and very open, modern motif. This would be a perfect place for larger groups such as family get togethers, celebrations, while still seating couples and others. And the portions versus the price point seemed very reasonable to me. They boast a Southern Coastal Cuisine so I went with the Fried Flounder Sandwich dressed in southern slaw and a side of tartar sauce. Served on a Niedlov's (Bakery in Chattanooga) grilled artisan hoagie bun. It was delicious. Crunchy crust and a tender moist fillet on the inside. And that Creamy Dreamy slaw was amazing. Their Fried Chicken Tacos is a must try too. Three hot chicken tenders in four tortillas, topped with corn salsa, cojita cheese, and jalapeño lime ranch. It was an Oh My Gosh experience. They have a very nice outside covered patio that's pet friendly and it all sits on a very large parcel with nice greenery and impressive landscaping. And it looks like they do a very brisk take out business too as I seen many orders being picked up. Awesome cocktails, attentive and responsive service all at a fair price. Definitely a place you want to check out.

Grabbed a quick cocktail before our friends showed up. Good cocktails and service at the bar. Sometimes restaurants have an issue dealing with large groups. The waitress was fantastic and got us through the dinner without any issues and great service. They did put a 20% tip automatically on the bill but I have no issue with that. Overall great experience and would come back if we are ever in the area!

Saturdays are my Cheat Days, duly noted…read more Today, Friday, July 10, is my birthday and that means TWO CHEAT DAYS this week. Initially, I had this really good seafood restaurant in Marietta on my radar but I wanted to try something different. So, I Googled and Yelped, finding this place. Henry's Louisiana Grill. It's far, like crazy far from my home. It took a long while to get there. Like there was no McDonald's or Waffle House ANYWHERE!!  Not that I eat that stuff but you take my meaning. I got there, went to the hostess stand and was greeted warmly by two young ladies. They directed me to the bar, as I was taking it to go. Spain was playing Belgium at 3PM and I did not want to miss it  When I went over to the bar, I met this really cool Bartender Goddess named Julie. She could not have been more hospitable and cheerful. I placed my order with her and in about 15-20 minutes, my food was packed and ready to go. The time was not a problem; everything is made to order. What did I have? I ordered their hot chili gator for one and their Chef Henry's Seafood Platter. It was plenty and it was really good. As if I wasn't stuffed enough, I also had their bread pudding. There is something in the sauce, I was scraping the bowl and I never do that...LOL Moreover, the long drive was worth it.  Henry's Louisiana Grill definitely served a good birthday lunch/dinner. I enjoyed every bite and still have leftovers, even of that bowl-scraping bread pudding. Oh, Spain won, 2-1. Awesome!

They have fresh squeezed juice that is a must try when you go. I received great service from the employees at this location. The establishment is very clean and seems to pass majority, if not, all health and safety requirements. The restaurant is in a plaza, so, there is plenty of parking that is convenient for you. I believe the hours are only until 2pm, and, they tend to bring in a large crowd. Therefore, I advise planning on getting here no later than 12:30, so you have an ample amount of time to be seated and enjoy your food Speaking of food, I would say, for the most part, our dishes were delicious. As I said, the food is fresh so you walk away not feeling overstuffed if you wish to indulge in a lot of food (which I recommend ) The only feedback I have is the Carne Asada tacos lacked a little flavor. Not the entire taco as a whole, but the meat itself- I was able to tell when I tried this dish. I am, shower, very particular with my Carne Asada you have to put the perfect amount of seasoning and the right kind of seasoning along with cooking it a certain way to get a good asada. My favorite course, was the bacon, along with the farmhouse bowl. It was the perfect blend of meat, potato, herbs, & fresh eggs. I added arugula to throw on some extra veggies to my dish and it definitely enhanced it in the best way Overall, First Watch is a staple and I highly recommend you take a visit!
