I had dinner at their Waco, TX restaurant which was so good, I had to take my wife there for our anniversary. We had a 2 hour wait, but it was well worth it. The service was great, and the food was amazing. I got the ribs with baked potato, and my wife got the steak and shrimp, both were on point. I will definitely come back here again. read more

My boyfriend had the Porterhouse Steak and he was in love. The portions were huge, we had so much leftovers. Our waiter was so attentive and funny! An hour wait for a table which was ok, they use a text service to put you on the waiting list. When I got seated I was served pretty quickly, drinks came out quickly, breaded mushrooms were yummy, had sirloin with fries, fries were lukewarm but steak was hot and cooked well. Server didn't bother to come back and check on the meal or offer any drink refill. In fact the next time I saw him he was dropping off the check, didn't even ask if I wanted dessert. All staff were wearing masks correctly and the tables were mostly safely distanced. There was a table of pretty drunk guys seated pretty close to me, they were loud and obnoxious and bothering the people nearby but staff just pumped them full of more drinks and ignored everything else. read more

Had $25 to spend on my Landry's card and thankfully Salt Grass is on the Landry's list of restaurants. I've only ever eaten at the one in Tyler Texas and had a decent experience there. So I figured why not. The food should be delish. This place is located inside the Laughlin Golden Nugget. Easy access from the water taxi. Came here on Mother's Day and surprisingly it was not as busy as I would've expected. There was a 30 min wait for a table but we were lucky enough to get bar top seating without a wait. For my meal I ordered the Range Rattlers appetizer and the fried shrimp dinner with fries and side salad to share with a friend. They were kind enough to split the salad and shrimp dinner on 2 separate plates without me asking. That was very nice. Most places would just give you a dish and have you do the work yourselves. Everything was served fresh and surprisingly fast. And most importantly it was all delicious. The only thing I had to wait for was getting my drink refilled. Waitstaff was very friendly. And I loved how everyone helped each other out. Great teamwork. Will definitely eat here again. read more

But nonetheless, we ordered a top 6oz sirloin steak,and hubby had 10oz. Both meals came with a side,and a salad or soup. Fresh honey bread,on the house. Our hostess was super friendly,and polite calling me Ms. It was my 1st time here,and had no idea what to expect. Hubby had been here before and stated he had a great steak. Well none the less it was a good dinner, under $100 for 2 meals and a few cocktails. My only complaint may be that my steak was medium but it was pretty pink all the way around. Once we sat down and given menus, menus have been changed , not as many items too many additional cost for items that were not additional before, we ended up asking to go because they sat a table next to us and at that table someone was coughing constantly. We got a chicken salad to go and a grilled salmon dinner to go this was for 2 separate people total cost $45 we got the meals to our room and missing the other fork set up I called downstairs to ask for manager he actually brought the fork set up and missing bread to our room very nice of him but initially he wanted us to come back to the restaurant to pick it up . However, I go back and forth between medium and medium rare, it just depends on what rolls off the top of my head. The meat quality isn't extraordinary but definitely better then you will find at your local grocery store. Where this place shines is the absolutely precision way in which your steak is cooked. Couple that with the more then reasonable prices (38$ for a 20 oz Porterhouse) and fantastic service, you can't beat the Saltgrass.
