We live this restaurant & Brad is a great server
    Suzanne S.

We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary today and had the best dinner and the best service. Brad was our server and he was wonderful. The food was delicious. I had a filet mignon that was perfectly done and tasted delicious. My husband got the shrimp and it was wonderful and delicious. The atmosphere is always relaxing and wonderful here. It's really classy place to come and Brad is a great server. We just adore him. He even had everyone sign a little card and gave us an anniversary card. It was so thoughtful. I'm only sorry that I didn't get a picture of our food before we ate it lol but you can tell that it was really good and delicious because it's all gone

Ambiance is similar to any other chain steak place. This one felt a little tighter inside though and not comfortable for a family of four. Service was decent, they were friendly and attentive enough. They did mess up my baked potato at first but quickly corrected it. The food is alright. Nothing stood out as great other than the size of their sweet potatoes are worth going for. The chicken was a little tough. I didn't get steak because after seeing others in the restaurant, looked a lot like other chain steaks but more costly.

10/10 Quail appetizer 9/10 Prime pork chops 8/10 Brussels sprouts I am working around Waco this week and wanted to try something different. It's been years since I have been to a Saltgrass. I also remember the last time I went, the pork chops were not bad. Well today I was able to get pork chops and they were amazing best I've had in a very long time. Lots of flavor, very tender and juicy. The fried green beens and Brussels sprouts from the quail app paired perfectly with the pork chops. I've never seen bacon wrapped quail so I had to try them. I am glad I did. They tasted amazing. I will definitely come back just for this appetizer!

Was here for a company event. We were in the back room. The menu was reduced but still had quite a few options for us. It was reduced as the food was paid by the company. The steak was cooked perfectly. The nacho starter was very flavorful. The servers were very polite and patient. The wedge salad was worth the upgrade. Lots of bacon and blue cheese. The back room was nice private and quiet for our event. The fries were decent. We each were packed a dessert I chose the carrot cake. It felt like it weighed about a pound. I didn't eat my shrimp but my roommate said they were delicious. All in all we had a great event w great food.

It's a chain steak house. Nothing special by any means. The wait is always 45mins +. Not my first, second, or third choice.

Came here with my sisters expecting a great dining experience and left completely disappointed…read more Hostesses were fake and borderline condescending right from the start. We kept it simple with apps and drinks, and even that was a letdown. The calamari came out lukewarm with zero flavor. Crab cakes were also barely warm (they tasted okay, but still shouldn't be served like that). The worst part was the lobster bisque--bland, lukewarm, and honestly tasted like canned soup with a few pieces of "lobster" thrown in. No flavor at all. We didn't complain, but the manager came over after noticing it wasn't touched and said the chef was "trying something different"... it didn't work. Even a guest next to us overheard and said the quality has gone downhill--she had sent hers back too. The only good thing was the drinks--dirty vodka martinis were solid. Overall, not worth the price. We won't be back.

Even though the parking lot is large, it was packed when we got there (our dinner was 6:30 on a Friday night). The service was good (a bit more on that later). We had: Lobster S'cargot (4/5) - Lobster served with the traditional s'cargot sauce even on the s'cargot dish. Pretty good but very rich. When it first came out, we thought it as being served in a hollowed out bowl but given it's served on the s'cargot dish, the portion size is actually pretty small. Akaushi New York Strip (5/5) - The better steak of the night. Very good version of the NY strip, full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. 10-oz Cold Lobster Tail (5/5) - I added this to make my entre "surf and turf." Delicious and presented in an awesome manner! Akaushi Rib-Eye (3.5/5) - This was an "off-the-menu" special. The waitress brought out a big platter with the specials of the day (6 various cuts of beef). We were told one of these was the Akaushi rib-eye served bone-in. The steak looked great raw (well marbled and 3/4 inch thick). This is not what we got. What we got was not bone-in and the steak was very thin (more like 1/4 inch cut). Putting gross weight aside, looked nothing like what we were presented. We did not say anything as the steak itself was okay. I have a feeling the waitress told us the wrong thing. Cajun Pasta (3/5) - Seasoning and flavor was okay but the pasta was severely overcooked. Overall, a pretty good meal for our trip.

The menu is simple, thoughtfully curated, and everything we ordered was executed beautifully. I had the steak, served over a bed of perfectly cooked bell peppers and onions. It was flavorful and cooked exactly right. My mom ordered the whole fish and cleaned her plate, which says it all. My son chose the handmade pasta, and it was outstanding. The meat to sauce ratio was spot on, and he finished every bite. We started with the Caesar salad, and it was honestly one of the best I've had. The unique nut mix added an unexpected crunch and took it to another level. We wrapped up the meal with the mousse dessert, and I highly recommend saving room for it. it was the perfect ending. Every plate at our table came back empty. Great food, excellent execution, and a wonderful atmosphere and service. We'll definitely be back.

We had a 6:45 reservation and we arrived an hour early to have a drink in the bar and the hostess told us that she would let us know if a table in the bar became available before our reservation time. I checked with her once because we noticed a few tables had been empty the entire hour we were there and she said that she still did not have anything available because they were reserved for reservations. No one ever showed up and she ended up seating us at one of the tables that had been empty the entire time and she seated us 10 minutes after our reservation time! The food was OK but the portion size for the price was not good. They were out of iced tea and potatoes by 7 o'clock. I ended up sending my gnocchi back because it was absolutely terrible. My husband ordered a martini and was charged 50 cents for an extra olive and, ironically, he only received one olive on the toothpick. The service was terrible and the bartender was very unfriendly, and we would never go back!

First, it's beautiful inside. Darker walls. Eclectic art. There's no cookie-cutter stuff here. Every wall, every facade is nice to look at and you forget you're in an outdoor shopping plaza in Texas, which is hard to do around here! Second, service was great - no complaints there. A younger server named Jennifer I think saw to us and she was great - checked in, was prompt and pleasant. Third - food was GREAT! We all LOVED everything! Some old review said their mac and cheese was "the worst ever" while others have said the best - It's THE BEST! Very, very good! I had a filet which was a little different than others I've had which was excellent; most filets are a tight piece of meat but this was one was looser (I know that's weird to say) but whatever - it was delicious and I highly recommend it. Drinks were great. Their smoked old fashioned was worth it and the wines were great too. We don't live near here but would go back again if we are in the area for sure. Little worried about this particular shopping area as I saw two other restaurants with CLOSED permanently signs on them. Let's hope this place lasts!

The energy and decor of the bar and restaurant is just classic and lovely. You really can feel the love and dedication that went into the design of the restaurant. I loved the marble/ natural stone tops of the cocktail tables and the leather seats. Such elegance without making someone feel out of place. The wine menu is spectacular and I found a favorite at a very agreeable price. A wonderful job in selecting the wines. Jordan was our server when we were seated and we highly appreciated her dedication and attention to our service and experience. I really appreciate that she didn't rush us to order mains until after we had more time and overall her easiness in conversation was very relatable and we enjoyed getting to know her. Now the food, A+++ honestly the best appetizers I've had in a while with the right balance of flavor and spice! Both the dumplings and crispy rice were standouts on their own. The main filet dish and sides were all equally excellent. The streak was charred a little in the outside, which I love, with perfect medium temperature inside. Honestly spectacular. Dessert was just as wonderful and we finished every bite. This restaurant is wonderful and I hope you come back and experience it again. Such a great job!
