Surprising delicious! The reviews for this place weren't great, but I was staying nearby and we decided to get a couple whole pizzas since we were starving. The service was fast and the ambiance was nice. They have a special where you can do a three topping custom pizza that was really nice. The slices might be hot or miss since they're not as fresh and this is a very thin crust pizza (so usually best when fresh), but the whole pizzas were pretty great! Nice thin crunchy crust, and I had them add a little extra sauce which really helped since it generally can be a little otherwise.

Salvation Pizza saved the day! Literally. We came down to Rainey Street for the live music, but only found DJ's at every bar but one. So we stumbled upon this Italian restaurant bar. It had everything from giant TV screens, to a pool table, to house made meatballs. We couldn't choose so we ordered wings, fried pickles, meatballs, and pizza, and we loved it all, including the last 30 minutes where I dominated at a game of pool. Thank you bar tender for the quarters that the table needed to play!

It's the only bar in the area that has tvs that show sports on lots of tvs and some of those tvs are large format. So that's pretty cool. It's Rainey, so it's overpriced. The quality is fine. Food isn't spectacular, but it won't kill you. We had pepperoni rolls, toasted raviolis, and a supreme pizza. The ravs were not made in house, which we were told in advance, and that's fine, and they were just okay- honestly I wouldn't buy them again though. The pizza didn't have a lot of cheese, but if you love bell peppers, this is def for you! The pepperoni rolls were a hit, mostly out of nostalgia. We started with a spicy Bloody Mary that was kind of lemony and sweet - it may have been a mix choice; it wasn't terrible, just not good. There was a good Beer selection and a full bar. The TVs had good sound. A pool table is available for those who didn't want to watch the games. The bartender was chatty if you like that and he was fine walking away if you were not. Overall, it's fine.

This is one of the spots I've always walked past on the way to my car after doing something on Rainey street so since I had some time to kill I decided to give it a try. Nice big open space, tons if screens streaming the games, welcomed by an attendee right away. She took my order and I waited. Some how my order got lost and I ended up waiting like 40 minutes for a burger and onion rings. They apologized and gave me a discount which was chill of them. Onion rings were pretty good, burger was a little dry. Would be willing to give them another chance though cause everyone was accommodating.

First time trying Salvation Pizza. I was greeted with smiles and someone immediately took our order. They were showing the UFC fight and some of the Olympic Games. A very nice gentleman offered us water while we wait for our food. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a pool table indoors. They had a large selection of alcohol and the vibe was calm but inviting. I love when I enter a place and the staff love what they do. It makes the experience so much better. I gave it a 4 because I didn't dine in but I hope to do so before I leave.

OMG who would know that there would be an AWSOME pizza restaurant near m the downtown area of Austin TX. Here from California an just by chance we parked right in the front of this restaurant. We decided to take a stroll down RaIney street to check out the other vendors and restaurants only to end up back to Salvation Pizza Restaurant. We had a party of 5 and decided to order the 18" pizza, Garlic Bread & Macaroni & cheese. Our server Juliana was the best including the bartender. The pizza was served heat hot and oh so delicious, mmmm good. So good that we ordered another pizza to go. Hopefully we will return before we leave.

Well if you like hair in your calzone..this is the place to order one! Ordered a calzone and side salad via Door Dash. I know this wasn't Door Dash's fault as they only pick up the order and b/c a calzone is a folded pizza and this piece of hair was melted in the cheese..DISGUSTING! I was kinda glad it was in there b/c the calzone was actually tasteless.... I did contact Door Dash, showed them my photos and they refunded me... GROSS GROSS GROSS

Make note of their hours as well because they are closed in middle of day. 4-8pm I'm the afternoon does not give a big window to choose your dining time. But the restaurant checks all the boxes. Great ambience. Fun indoor and outdoor seating. Tasty food. Big outdoor space for little ones to play. Convenient location. Decent pricing. The salads are served on big trays which makes sharing easy (even when I didn't really want to share my yummy tossed salad with toasted garbanzo beans and Chunks of fresh mozzarella and a super yummy dressing. The pasta and pizza tasted really good. From an owner of a few pizza places in Houston, I was disappointed in the crispness of the dough. I don't care for pizza that can hold its shape when being held. But if I just told myself it was bread instead- I enjoyed it. It was really the pasta and salad for me. We didn't try too much because we were actually surprised it was open. Many friends mentioned the desserts were to die for. Even Guy on DDD mentioned the caramel rolls were what cinnamon rolls wish they could be. He also LOVED the pastrami sandwiches. So I'd i could do a 1-10 scale I'd give it a 9 for the extra work we had to put in to align with their limited open hours and for the soggy crust. But highest marks on the rest. I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.

As for flavors, you really can't go wrong but the standouts for me were the Potato, Chicken Parm and Lasagna slices. They also serve calzones, New York-style pizza, gelato and wine, so there's truly something for everyone. The pizza is priced by the slice, which makes it easy to mix and match like I did, though you can also order a full pie. I will say this definitely isn't cheap pizza, but you're absolutely paying for quality ingredients and incredible flavor.
