A mellow spot to grab some Thai food--Same Same offers some classic comfort dishes. The dining room is easy to enjoy, and the food comes out as you would expect it. Service is simple, and in this case no news is good news. If you're in the neighborhood and you want an affordable meal, Same Same is a great option.

Same Same has an excellent menu and excellent service! We were immediately greeted and seated inside this modern Thai restaurant with a bar style set-up! We definitely recommend doing a family style ordering to be able to try more than 1 of their yummy dishes (my favorite being the Kapow Style Cripsy Pork Belly if you like spice)! We will definitely be coming back!

I was craving Burmese styled food tonight and I realized that the restaurant I was intending to go to was out of business. So we decided to go next door. This Thai food was actually pretty darn good. They definitely did it right. Not only was the food good, but the ambiance had this intimate, trendy, fun feel to it. The servers were great. And it was just an overall nice experience. Glad to have tried it out tonight! It was definitely a fun silverlake experience here.

The staff were welcoming. The service was not so great. I dined with a few friends and we ordered their pad see ew, pad Thai, and grilled chicken. The flavors for each dish were lacking. There was a human hair on the pad se ew. It look a while for one of the plates to arrive. The restaurant was extremely loud, it was a little difficult to hear each other. We had to lean forward and somewhat shout to converse. I don't see myself returning.

At a very unassuming location in a strip mall plaza in Silverlake, this is probably the best Thai food I have had in a long time. It's authentic & family owned. The service was super friendly & our server Brady was very knowledgeable about the menu & with recommendations. We ordered their crispy veggie spring rolls, grilled oyster mushroom naked salad (my favorite) & the Panang curry with tofu & rice on the side. It was so much food & so delicious my mouth is watering writing this review. Will definitely be back soon!

Bestie and I came to Same Same a few weeks back and snagged a couple bar stools at the back bar. We ordered all sorts of stuff, beginning with a Singha and a few items from their impressive HH menu. Everything was pretty tasty. We had the chicken satay skewers, sticky rice, chicken wings, fresh spring roll (no tofu), red curry, pad se ew, thai sausage, and the tapioca dessert. The one item I would not order again is the spring roll, everything else was really tasty!! I was really excited about trying Same Same but in all honesty, we have some really great Thai places much closer to home so I don't feel a need to travel this far out for Thai. If you're in the area, solid option for sure! Service was great. Parking in private lot, but limited.

Average Thai food of the dishes we tried. The grilled squid snack arrived smelling foul. After a few bites I stopped as I felt uncertain of its origin and quality. The beer arrived without a glass nor inquiry if one desired. Pour it in the glass? Who does that as a mark of service? Not here! The veggie spring rolls were average. Many Thai restaurants will, on request, provide a spicier set of 4 condiments including one with Thai chilis in fish sauce. Not this place. Only two condiments, and those of the kind you might have for dim sum. Perhaps owned by ethnic Chinese I don't know. The jade noodles provided mild interest for the ingredients but are inoffensive. The Tom Kha was the best of the lot we tried. Lemongrass forward with delicious smoky red chilis for heat. Good if you live in the neighborhood but not a special trip. We made a special trip. Not coming back.

The tuna was fresh and the other two were just alright to me. It was really interesting as the salad had saradines which was different but nothing bad, but nothing really memorable either. Parking can be tough, but I was lucky enough to find street parking. Seating is also limited, and the wait can be long including the restroom line. Initial impression of the restaurant and its interior - my friends and I were gagged at how beautiful it was inside, like a bohemian garden with very cozy vintage vibes. We started off with this palate cleanser of carrot juice with parsley oil, and it was definitely an eccentric taste...kind of like celery but overall a pretty healthy tang (idk if it's meant to be savored because lowk maybe it's better as a shot lol). For the pizzas, we ordered the following, all of which came out hot with my absolute favorite leopard-spotted crusts, which definitely has that *sour*dough flavor plus a beautifully plush and chewy texture :D Stracciatella & Prosciutto (4.5/5) - the stracciatella cheese was divinely creamy, and it had this lovely sweet & savoriness to it - we couldn't really taste coffee-infused honey tho The Banger (4/5) - also another delicious and diverse combination of ingredients perfectly arranged on a pizza; nduja could have been more prominent as, besides the cheese, it seemed quite similar to the S&P Mushroom (3.5/5) - the truffle is fragrant, and overall the mushrooms are not too overbearing! I will say I'm biased to red pizzas though as white pizzas can get a bit heavy and needs a palate cleanser. But I especially loved the oyster mushrooms because they were cooked perfectly with an earthiness to em In regards to size, we ordered 3 pizzas for 4 people (6 slices for each, so 18 total), which was the perfect amount for us. Our waiter was kind enough to let us sample the three whites they had rotating that night so we could pick what we wanted. I ended up going with a nice Georgian white. And now for the food! Cucumber and pomegranate salad (5/5) - it was fresh, crisp, and very well flavored with the fresh herbs. Ghormeh sabzi with rice (3.5/5) - flavor wise it was delicious, it reminded me of my grandma's ghormeh sabzi. Kidney beans were a bit undercooked. Rice was fluffy and well cooked. Tahchin with chicken (3.5/5) - flavor was good, I think it could have used a bit more seasoning and the rice was more "custardy" than I am used to. Blood orange tart (3/5) - the tart itself was yummy but the blood oranges were quite bitter. Our meal was quite expensive which I completely understand given the quality of the ingredients they use and the fact that they are small business. With that being said, I'd probably only come back here for wine and small bites, not a full meal. But I think Voodoo Vin is worth trying at least once.
