I have ordered from this spot a few times and they have a nice variety on their menu. I normally order the blueberry pancakes with the scrambled eggs, bacon, and country potatoes. It's your typical all-American breakfast and the price is decent for the amount you get. The quality is pretty good and I deducted a star because they only do online orders & don't have a phone order option which would be a little helpful for orders closer to their opening time. We were seated right away, then we sat for maybe 15 mins no one came and asked for our drinks. Then, when we got our drinks, our server was just flat-out rude. We waited maybe 40 mins for our food. And it came out cold and just didn't taste good. We just asked for our check. The food is way overpriced for what it is, and the pancakes are horrible. No flavor and super dry. Good family restaurant. Very welcoming and friendly, fast service. It was a bit warm inside even with the fan on. We had the stuffed cream cheese French toast which was delicious without the whipped cream and the caramel. The blueberry and raspberry pancakes had fresh fruit cooked into the pancakes. Plain, banana, pumpkin, Blueberry, chocolate, raspberry....so many choices. The Blueberry pancakes were the winner and were super tasty. Nice n Fluffy. I was able to drizzle them with 4 different syrups. Paired with eggs, country potatoes and bacon. My only complaint was that the bacon was wimpy. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't thick enough. Oh. Sammy's. I knew I had to venture out to you after Sunday service. The night before I had watched Talledega Nights and couldn't get the image of crepes out of my mind. I instantly yelped places the night before and firmly decided on Sammy's even with the wide spectrum of reviews. My better half and I arrived at this location around 11:30 and yes, it was packed. The location parking lot is pretty tight so if you have a big car, you'll be maneuvering tightly around. I loved the exterior and how cute the building was. We were told to wait about 10-15, but it did end up taking longer. No problem. I looked at more pictures of crepes. We got sat and I believe it was Lily who was our server. She arrived so fast and delivered our coffees instantly. A big hooray on the whole coffee carafe! I do drink an insane amount during breakfast and was glad I didn't have to flag someone down constantly. I ordered the strawberry crepe breakfast combo that came with eggs, hash brown and some bacon. My better half opted for the plain waffle combo. We literally sat and played sugar toss for about 10 minutes and viola, our food appeared. For everything not having taken so long, the food was amazing. It had been an awfully long time since I've had crepes and I'm glad I waited for Sammy's to have my first reacquainted meeting. It was truly blissful. One thing I must admit, the strawberry glaze they put on was quite sweet but not overbearing. The sunny side eggs, cooked to pure perfection, hash browns crispy the way I like, and the bacon not too crunchy. My better half did not truly like his waffles but hey, I did tell him, crepes were the way to go. Sammy's might seem like a destination to bypass on due to the wait, but don't. One of the things I love about this place, they offer potato squares instead of hashbrowns. I've never been a fan of them..so hearing another option got my vote for this place. Along with 2 pancakes, hash browns and one seriously big "meat lovers omelet", it was all that I could handle. Located in what appears to be an old IHOP, the inside is very retro, including the music. They are in the process of establishing an outdoor patio area. I have been visiting Sammy's Stack House for since the Ihop had closed. Let me say that at first i was not happy with it closing thinking that no other place would be able to be better, but I was wrong. It is a very friendly area, and it is super clean inside. Everyone is very nice and it has now become a place my family goes to. There are great food options on the menu, and they have a variety of drinks. Since I've been there, I have not seen any vegetarian or vegan options on the menu, except the Vegan Burger (which i have heard multiple times that it is great!). We have experience extremely busy situations with them, and have never had a bad turnout of events. This place is great for Sunday Breakfast or Brunch with Family. The strawberries tasted rotten and the side of powdered sugar was extremely stale. Not to mention all the bananas were brown from bruises. GrubHub asked the restaurant for a refund and they had the audacity to refuse. That is horrible customer service. This place should have taken accountability for the food THEY served. The food is good and always comes out in timely manner. My favorite go to is the french toast combo but the pancakes are super good too and always come with a chunk of butter on top. At first I wanted a IHOP kind of Sunday morning, but instead we ended up having something better than that in Sammy's Stack House. I ordered the "Sammy's Famous Chicken & Waffle". ($11.99). Its four pieces of lightly battered fried chicken, and in dark meat. The waffles are cut in halves and they tasted soft and fluffy with crisp ends. I'm not sure what the pink sauce is off the side, but its mildly spicy and I used it more on my chicken & waffles rather than the sweet syrups, that sauce complimented the meal well. If Sammy says its "Famous" that means its known to many, its a must have. I was satisfied with this choice. The "Biscuits & Gravy" ($9.99). When served it looks simple but having this was comforting. The biscuits are soft and it has grilled ends. The gravy topping wasn't too salty which is okay. Included is four pieces of sausages, along with that you do have an option of sides, and we went for sunny side eggs and hash browns. Nothing too crazy or overwhelming, its savory. As for drinks I ordered the "Iced Coffee" ($3.19). I chose to have it in mocha flavor and it tasted okay, it's not as strong. Its topped with whipped cream and you can stir to make it a little sweeter. Just like any breakfast place they offer bottomless coffee. I don't even like to write a bad review however I want to share a few things that I feel are important to know before going here. I researched this place on yelp looking for a central area to meet my kids for an early mother's day breakfast since it was between our locations. I was excited to see the nice size menu online, (which most of the prices are now at least $3 more.) Which is understandable with our economy, that was ok with me. If you are looking for a place that offers any healthier alternatives, this is not the place to go! They have no sugar in the raw, stevia, nor any milk substitutions! Nowadays many have at least one option of oat milk, almond milk, etc. We did find 1 "non-dairy" little creamer and asked for more, however, she only found 1 more in the whole restaurant. huh?? The coffee was NOT good, my son laughed and said it tasted like "old boots" I tried to make mine as good as I could considering the options that I had to add in, to no prevail! My daughter can't have any dairy, is on a strict diet, and literally didn't have options to choose from. I was excited to try the eggs benedict. The eggs were cooked hard, and the sauce was separated and not creamy at all. The server was sweet, however, she rarely came back to our table! By the time she came back, I explained about the egg being cooked hard, and just asked her if she could get me an egg poached soft with a side of the sauce. I just wanted to enjoy at least one good eggs benedict and was willing to sacrifice waiting and putting it on my muffin. I waited over 10 min finally to get it. Again, the sauce was separated but I just ate it! Come to find out, I was charged an additional amount of $3.99 for the egg and $1.99 for the sauce. I understand that she probably didn't understand what I was telling her, I was trying to be nice and I didn't want to send the whole plate back. We did leave her a 30% tip just because we understand the hospitality industry and consider the times we are in. Ordered our food and once we received it, most of our orders were wrong. The menu online is different than grub hubs. All of our orders on Sammy's website said they would come with pancakes and grub hub didn't give us an option to not include pancakes so we assumed they would come with our order and they didn't. Ordered mash potatoes on 2 orders and got regular potatoes. Had an order of the chicken breast dinner and was most disappointed with this order.
