This used to be an IHOP, but the owner gave up the franchise. Is reminiscent of IHOP, but cleaner and more up to date. Still serves breakfast for dinner, but it tastes better now that it is not constrained to IHOP recipes. Additional plus is that Sammy's serves beer. Worst experience ever. I'm typically not the person to complain but when situations like this happen how can someone not be upset. It started with me and my family showing up Sunday morning for brunch, as we waited more people showed up and we're being seated while we kept waiting. We waited a total of 30 min when we decided to just go elsewhere and it wasn't till then the host an older gentleman told us that there was a table available for us. We ended up giving it a try since we were really hungry it was almost 11am and none of us had ate yet. I ended up ordering chicken and waffles and miss understood and thought that the chicken was tenders so when they brought my plate I asked the waitress about it and she said no that's the chicken waffle sandwich. You ordered this one. Keep in mind I had never been there and she came to take our order pretty quick after we sat down so I didn't get a chance to read the menu very well but everyone else was hungry so I rushed it a little. So I said ok but I did not eat my plate because call me weird but I do not like bone in chicken. It wasn't till almost everyone was done eating the waitress asked if I wanted to trade plates or something else but by that point I was already upset that she didn't want to help me out with my plate when I asked and it was almost time for us to leave I wasn't going to have my family wait for me so I just told her no it's ok I'll take this home. Overall the food wasn't great per my family's review everything was bland and not as expected. To top things off we paid a total of 200 for a party of 6 idk if I'm being cheap but we typically pay under 150 at most breakfast/brunch restaurants. This was a no for us. read more

Came here for an afternoon Sunday brunch with some friends. We had an order of fried chicken and waffle and a veggie omelette. The fried chicken was crispy and slightly dry. I Had Breakfast here the other day with some friends and it was our first time here. Our waitress name was Lily. Most places we go to is always so fast paced and the girls always for get its we order or even doesn't even bother to come back and check our table. I think this place used to be an IHOP but thank goodness it has changed to this little spot. So yummy! I went with the cheesecake pancakes and eggs benedict. Very tasty, filling and faily inexpensive. I saved 20% because of the yelp saving. The seating in the back is pretty loud but smaller compared to the front large seating. The waitress was not always checking in on our table but still managed to get our order right and that's a huge plus! If you've ever made your own free waffles at a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express, these were below that quality level, soggy and flavorless. This has been my favorite go to breakfast place, after having several bad experience with Ihop on 17 street i decided to try this place out. One because it is down the street from my house, two the customer service is OUTSTANDING, and three the food is delicious. I have tried the pancakes, waffles, french toast, crepes, club sandwich, and huevo rancheros. All are amazing and mouth watering.
