Excellent pizza place with reasonable price and good portion. The staff was kind and passionate in what he does. I ordered one 14" capricciosa pizza and one 14" Margherita pizza. Personally I like the rich creamy texture and mushroom toppings on the capricciosa (marinara, mozzarella, hams, mushroom, olives). Margherita pizza was better than some of the other pizza places I visited, but I wish the crust and dough could be a bit thinner, more cheese and wish there is fresh basil on the pizza. They have rewards program to earn points if ordering through their website. Added bonus if you are a regular!

Ordered a medium supreme pizza and it was good! The crust was my favorite part. They are opened every day and also very late at night so a great place for late night pizza. They have parking in a small lot.

I ordered from here to enjoy some food along with a movie. The movie was amazing, but the pizza was disappointing. We had spent some time looking for a new place to try since we were tired of ordering from the same spot. In hindsight, we should have stuck with our original choice, Forma, because their pizza is much tastier. Both the Hawaiian and the supreme pizzas lacked tomato sauce, which made them taste like dry bread with too much cheese. The cheese itself wasn't very good either and didn't taste fresh. The crust was thin, which I did like, but the supreme pizza was cut very unevenly and difficult to eat Overall, though, I probably won't order from here again.

My coworkers ordered cheese pizza for our work party. It wasn't bad, to be honest. Would I go there for pizza on my own? Probably not, but I would eat it again if someone else was paying. My coworker called in the order, and the person on the phone was neither friendly nor helpful with recommendations. I had to deduct a star due to the poor customer service.

I was working in the area and saw glowing reviews for SaMo pizza, but I think the reviews were for previous ownership? Some other reviewer said this place was sold and is under new ownership from an Indian gentlemen that was very nice and welcoming when I walked in. Now for the food review. I wanted to get pizza by the slice but saw the cabinet was limited to just cheese and pepperoni, so I decided to just order a 12" supreme pizza. The toppings were loaded up but I felt the pizza was a bit dry and lacking in some tomato sauce. The dough tasted a little bit on the sweeter side of things. Pizza was oddly cut into 4 slices that made for a giant slice and sort of difficult to eat. I would've cut this 12" into 6 slices! Damage was $23 for a 12" pizza and Mandarin Jarrito. Decor was very clean and modern. The new owner was very nice and professional but I ended up only enjoying one slice out of the whole pizza.

I'm a NJ/NYC guy and this pizza holds up. I recommend! If it passes the east coast NY pizza test, you know it's worth it.

Needed to feed my team and SAMO pizza fit the bill... I ordered a bunch of pizzas. Take a look at the pics. It was really good. Everyone was happy when I went to pick up the pizzas. Everything went without a hedge. The ambience was amazing. The place was clean. I will definitely go there again!

    Coconut Vegan Pizza

Best pizza in LA! I am obsessed with this place. Coconut vegan pizza is SUBLIME and the 18 inch pizza is huge. Very cute local shop with very friendly, wonderful owner making pizzas to order. Crust is perfect, atmosphere is awesome, home-like, welcoming and I love the music and that it is open very late every night. Very reasonable prices and high quality. Family friendly too to eat in or take out. In a cute area of Santa Monica with free parking in front.

Some of the best pizza I have ever had. Will be coming back here. Sunny and Victor were very nice and friendly. Chill vibe as well. Would be 1000 stars if I could.

Came here after an afternoon at Santa Monica Pier STARVING! It was fairly empty with places to sit inside or outside. The restaurant was clean with all the fixings you could want! I even got additional sides of buffalo and ranch! The Pizza itself was unbelievable- the owner made it right then and there! Talk about fresh!! My favorite part of the entire menu is HOMEMADE MANGO LASSI!!!!!! Oh my god it was the best thing I've had all year! I cannot recommend this place enough. I will be eating here whenever I visit the pier from now on!

    Chocolate Chip Cookie (Large)

There's something unbeatable about a fresh, warm chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven. The edges have that perfect golden crisp, while the center stays soft, gooey, and almost melts in your mouth. Every bite is packed with rich, melted chocolate that blends perfectly with the buttery dough. The warmth just brings everything together--it's comforting, nostalgic, and honestly hard to stop at just one. It's the kind of simple treat that never disappoints and always hits exactly right. Would recommend!

    Chicken Pesto Pizza

Victor was so generous and the pizza is delicious for at a great price. Will be going back next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Is SaMo Pizza closed on Monday? I ordered online then went to pick up and they were closed when I got there.

Found the same situation, called several times, but no answers. According to owner, management change or owner change! It will be closed and will reopen with same quality and manager!…

Do they sell pizza by the slice? I tried calling but no-one answered (at 1pm so they may have been busy)

Yes, they do! And they are good sized too!!

A place where you wander the street, pop in and out of stores, stand there and watch the many street performers going on. Those days are long gone. It used to be shops after shops along the three blocks. Busy businesses one after the other. The holiday and weekend were alway packed with people. Also a major destination for holiday makers wanting to see what this place is all about. Now there's nothing but empty vacant spaces. The three blocks that once use to be bustling with people is like somewhat a ghost town. You still have a few scattered shops here and there and some restaurants, but majority is empty. Even with them trying to incorporate alcohol onto the strip to encourage people to shop and visit, it doesn't seem to work. It's still pretty quiet with loads of empty spaces. Some stores have survived but at least 60 to 70 percent have vanished. It's not the same third street promenade I remember. Don't get me wrong, people still come but it's not the same hustling crowd as it once was. They still have the farmers market which I think is still one of the better one. Amazing fresh produce to choose from. You do get loads of the chefs coming for their weekly fresh produce as well as the locals. At least that's still a positive for the area. Besides that, they'll still get holiday makers visiting and walking the blvd. But the experience, won't be the same. Hopefully it'll come through and be the nice spot if once was. One can hope.

The interior has neat architectural & artistic designs. We've eaten food from Bang Bang Noodles, The Jolly Oyster, Go Go Bird, & Goodboybob. Of these four places, only Go Go Bird still remains open here. Items we've had: *Go Go Bird - Chicken Wings, Pork Dumplings, and Japanese Cheddar Biscuit drizzled with Condensed Milk & Miso Powder from Go Go Bird. *Bang Bang Noodles - Smashed Chili Cucumbers & Tingling Cumin Noodles with sliced Lamb Shoulder *The Jolly Oyster - Crudo *Goodboybob - Matcha Latte, Cloud 9, & Blueberry Muffin In 2023 when we were here last, we had the option of scanning a QR Code to place an order, or order at the restaurant itself. I think you just order at each vendor now. There are seven restaurants there now: Uoichiba, Smokey Chance, Benevento, Jikoni, Sustainabowl, Go Go Bird, & Bar Bohemien. I am not a fan of public restrooms, but the ones here are so lavish and cool! The restroom area is unisex with the sinks in an open area. I had high hopes for the restaurant, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. Came here on a Sunday and managed to snag a table around dinner time without a reservation. Servers were friendly and attentive. We got the melon prosciutto appetizer to share. It was good and the melon prosciutto pairing is always great. Will order this again, though the presentation of the dish could probably have been a bit better. They had the summer of pesto menu going, so I got the pesto basilico pasta. The pasta was cooked very al dente and the pesto sauce was good. My only qualm is that the portion is a little on the smaller side and I wish the pasta was cooked a little bit more (maybe 45-60s more). The pizza was perhaps the most disappointing. We got the diavola dolce pizza and was expecting a glazy hot honey but the honey was very watery and the pizza overall was lacking flavor. I also wish they were a bit more generous with their salami topping. The dough was good, but the entire pizza tasted very bland and more like a regular cheese pizza topped with a couple of salami and a dollop of ricotta. There's way better options for Italian food in the area so probably wont be returning here again. However, they do have a great selection of groceries so I'd probably just stick with the groceries!
