This place is a hole in the wall but can be spotted by their outdoor dining setup. The place inside is small and can seat around ten people maximum. I tried to dine in, but apparently, they have a rule that states that you can't eat inside unless you order $15 worth of food. On a normal day, I can, but I just wanted samossas as that's what they're known for at the restaurant. I went with 2 other people, and we all chose samossas, which is what the restaurant is named, and they just wanted to take out. The person at the register didn't really help us out. He was busy taking orders over the phone and giving them to the delivery people. He wasn't coherent either when we asked questions. Anyway, I ordered the mixed order where it comes with 5 different kinds. I got the 5 on the menu, which are spinach, diced potatoes, chick peas, ground lamb, and ground chicken. It comes with two different sauces, which goes great with the samossas. All were pretty good, but the meat ones were the best for me.

I ordered takeout for lunch. It's a little confusing between the tiffin box and lunch specials, but essentially we get a bento-like box with the tiffin box with smaller portions of the entree/salad/rice/bread side. I liked the naan more than the roti (you can choose), but both were good to dip with the sauces. - Shrimp chili tiffin: This said spicy, but it was not at all. Once it was chilled, you can get more of the spiciness, but it certainly had a lot of flavor. There were about 4-5 big shrimp in the box and they weren't overcooked, which I appreciated. The sauce was good enough, but not my favorite - Paneer Tikka masala tiffin: The masala is slightly heavier with the tomato flavor in my opinion. I thought the paneer could be slightly less thickly cut to soak up the flavor a bit more, but overall, a nice standard dish. - Lamb korma lunch special: I love korma, and while I had better korma elsewhere, I think they do korma better than the other Indian places in Astoria (i.e. Seva). It's slightly more nuttier here, but not as nutty as I would like (love the korma at Sahib in Manhattan). The lamb itself is also tender. I'd get this again. The prices were very affordable, especially for the lunch specials - I'd come back to try other dishes.

Small spot, amazing food. Slowly trying all their menu. So far we've tried and loved their Chicken biryani, mixed samosas, Goat curry.

One word. DELICIOUS I love love love Indian food, so I go to so many Indian food spots everywhere I go. This place is basically a hole in the wall Indian spot. Not a full size restaurant but there's still a decent amount of seating inside and outside. My friend and I both enjoyed the food here very much. Service was good too. Left with full happy bellies

Indulged in a box of potato samosas (20 pieces), and they were a delight. The crispy crust and flavorful filling made them absolutely delicious.

Well, I purchased the veggie pakora and at first it smelled delicious. But actually it's more flour than veggies inside ..it's way too bready and the filling inside it super dry The green sauce is way to watery. This one item took 20 mins unbelievable.

If you're looking for a fantastic underrated Indian restaurant which also has outdoor dinning, look no further. First off, the staff was very friendly. My wife and I shared the mix samosas. The samosas we chose were (2) potatoes, (1) lamb, (1) chickpea, and (1) chicken. My wife then ordered a mint limeade and the lamb korma (lunch special, which means it comes with basmati rice and a small salad) and I got the goat vindaloo lunch special. We devoured the samosas and when we started eating our lunch special meal, we were basically full and unable to finish our entrees. We took the rest of our meal to go. I would say this place definitely gives you a good amount of food for the lunch special.

Little storefront, BIG FLAVORS! I've been wanting to try this place for so long. Today was finally the day and I can honestly say it was well worth the wait!! I ordered the chicken and regular samossas. The flavors were so bold and perfect. Not too spicy but definitely had a good kick to it. You can taste the freshness with each bite. I'm telling you, I just found my new favorite spot! One of the best samossas I ever had. I cannot wait to come back and try their other dishes. Absolutely authentic and really delicious, what more can you ask for?!!

This was my first time here, and their Chicken tikka masala was amazing! It was one of the best that I've had in a while. I was actually surprised, because some places don't always make it right. Everything was so flavorful and fresh, even the garlic naan was delicious and savory. The sauce was lovely as well. I wanted to eat everything all up, but I had to force myself to save some for tomorrow. Thank you, and I will be back for sure!

The egg roll, so bland and tasteless...Doesn't for the instruction.

Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. Of course their samosas are to die for but the mango lassi was the best I've ever had!

They start you off by collecting your food and drink orders and then the class starts! You learn how to make the dough from scratch, and then make a variety of shapes of pasta (all to take home)! It's entertaining and lots of fun- great for a bday! The 3 course meal after is delicious too, highly recommend the champagne mussels, and cavatelli pasta which has a nice bite (with any sauce, they're all good). I also really liked the lasagna! The donuts are also very hot and tasty. Overall a fantastic experience for any pasta-lover, definitely would recommend!

I already make homemade pasta, and this class reinforced my technique and confirmed I'm on the right track. You wait outside the restaurant until they call you in, then they seat you at a spot at the table. I went solo but ended up chatting with others; I never felt lost. The instructor circulated, was helpful and funny. The space was clean and well organized. You receive a set menu (appetizer, entrée, dessert) and you take home the pasta you make. The meal at the end was outstanding. Every course, from the mussels to the carbonara to the sundae, was packed with memorable flavors and beautifully presented. I was impressed by how delicious everything was, especially given the reasonable price. I cooked the pasta at home later: it boiled in about 2 minutes and paired perfectly with a homemade vodka sauce.

There was a line, of course, there always is, and the wait was longer than what we were willing to endure for fare as simple and as common as a sandwich. It was worth the 20-minute wait. We ordered the Milano special, packed with cold meats, tomatoes, pickled peppers, cheese, and lettuce between two soft sesame rolls. It looked magnificent. It tasted magnificent. It was a sandwich to rule all sandwiches. I'd brave the line for that any day.

Proscuitto burtata (amore) - fresh fresh fresh and quality ingredients. The proscuitto was perfect along with the burrata, arugula and balsamic glaze on ciabatta which was sweet mix. We were deciding on this one and the proscuitto tomato but we are glad we got this one! 2. Chicken caesar salad wrap- I think I could easily say this is the best caesar salad wrap i've had. The dressing was light and not overpowering with the mix of the chicken, croutons and outside wrap was a truly stellar combination. Very fresh and wasnt soggy one bit. the cookies: small black n white cookie, rainbow cookie and chocolate sprinkle and all were hits! my favorite was the black n white because the icing melts right off the soft cookie texture and tastes more like a cake than a cookie. All were amazing and is a must try when visiting. absolutely rec when you're on the east side!

If you're in a pinch and would like to quickly eat some type of pasta that isn't fancy for takeout, this is the place to go to as there's no one really serving you. I walked inside, and there was no one to greet me. I think there's only one person working here who does everything. Once the person came out with someone's order, he explained everything to me, on how to figure out what to order and etc. I didn't really understand what he was saying, but I tried my best and repeated things back to him if there was a question. I followed the photos and what was written on the black menu by the wall. I ordered the small mama's bolognese. It is Reginette with marinara sauce with meat inside and has roasted garlic and parmesan. The employee asked me what size and if I wanted everything, or if I should alter anything. All in all, I'm not sure I'll be going back as the food didn't stand out to me.

Which disappointed me. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, penne à la vodka with chicken, fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and mozzarella sticks. The best out of all of them was the mozzarella stick sticks. The service was OK. The place is small and there's only like four benches to sit. I did notice there was a sign that said there is more seating at Elio's. I do not really recommend this restaurant for its pasta if you're looking for something super savory. But if you're looking for something fast and filling then maybe you could give it a shot.
