    The Angeleno

BEST ICED COFFEE DRINKS! Perfect for summer, SFC has consistent quality iced beverages to beat the heat. My go to is the Angeleno, a cold brew with horchata cold foam that is so so good: light and creamy without being too sweet! Also tried Valley Girl, and a strawberry matcha - equally delicious! They use those tiny circular ice cubes that also make the drink extra special because they're so small and crunchable.

Walking into a new coffee shop can feel like a gamble these days..but San Fernando Coffee Company completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Angeleno iced coffee, and as someone who loves a sweeter coffee with cold foam on top, this hit the spot. The sweetness level was just right smooth, flavorful, and not overpowering. If you prefer a stronger, more traditional coffee taste (like cold brew), I would recommend asking for an extra shot of espresso to balance it out. The space itself was clean, welcoming, and had plenty of room to sit and work (perfect if you're looking for a productive coffee shop vibe). The staff was also super friendly, which always makes a difference. For food, I tried the Chipotle chicken and bacon sandwich simple, but really good and I would definitely order it again. I also got the egg cheddar muffin, which was a nice, satisfying add-on. Overall, this spot was such a pleasant surprise, and I'll definitely be coming back.

This was already my absolute favorite coffee spot, but Mike completely blew us away! We walked in with a group of friends after a strenuous hike, and even though the place was packed with what felt like 50 million people, Mike's hospitality skyrocketed the experience out of the park. He took the time to explain everything and answered every single question we had with an incredibly positive attitude. Seriously, this man could have sold me a flat-screen TV and I would've walked out smiling. He definitely knows what he's doing and is in the absolute right industry. Thank you, Mike, for making a great day even better!

    Breakfast burrito with bacon

I stopped in earlier for a late breakfast. I ordered an Abuelita latte, and a breakfast burrito with bacon. The barista was very helpful and patient about suggestions to modify my drink order. I received my food and drink without having to wait long at all. I appreciated their efficiency. The drink had a bit more of the sweetness on top but was better when I mixed it all in. The burrito was smaller than I expected for the price point. I used to exclusively get breakfast burritos from Rero's in West Covina due to the shareable size for similar pricing. So this one surprised me a little. I tried the burrito as-is and tasted some sweetness in the tortilla. So then I tried it with the green salsa, and then a bite with just the red salsa. In the end I liked it better with both salsas. The green had a nice, fresh flavor but the red added a small amount of heat compared to the green. The inside had ample seating and space for folks to study, work on laptops, etc. It was also really nice that they offered a discount for students and educators. I'd visit again to sample other offerings. I visit

We first tried San Fernando Coffee Company back in early May 2025, and ever since that first visit, we honestly haven't been able to stop going. What started as "let's try somewhere new" quickly turned into our regular coffee spot. The environment is one of my favorite parts. It's welcoming, clean, and just has that calm energy that makes you want to stay awhile. Whether we're grabbing coffee to go or sitting down to get some work done, it always feels like a comfortable space to land for a bit. The ordering process is super easy because you use a kiosk, which makes everything straightforward and efficient. Even during busier moments, the wait has never been more than about 5 -10 minutes for us. That consistency really stands out. The bathrooms are always very clean (which I personally notice and appreciate), and the overall space feels well taken care of. Of course the coffee and food are the real reason we keep coming back. Everything we've tried has been delicious and well made. If you're looking for a reliable spot to work for a bit, meet a friend, grab a quick bite, or just get a solid coffee to go this place checks every box for us. Definitely one of our favorite finds of 2025!

    Iced Abuelita Latte
    Lyane P.

I ordered the iced Abuelita's Latte with oat milk. I think it was $.50 extra. It was sweet, smooth and creamy with the perfect amount of cinnamon. Loved it so much that I went back the next day to get another one! I also ordered the breakfast burrito which was decent. Egg, potatoes and cheese blended together without much taste but was vastly improved by the salsa. Even though I ordered it with bacon, it was kinda all mushy. Baristas/servers were all friendly and everything came out quickly. I'm not in the area often, but if I were, I would come again. Plenty of parking in the lot.

+ Great addition to Azusa + The Angeleno is my fave drink + Breakfast burritos are great! All food made to order + good amount of tables with outlets to charge, free Wi-Fi - music is good, but can be loud if you are working/studying, so bring headphones if that bothers you + always great service + parking is a breeze since its in a shopping center + clean establishment

I came for my niece's soccer fundraiser. I ordered the Banana Pudding Matcha latte (iced) and a breakfast burrito with bacon. It was a little hard to find because they are not listed in the signage for the shopping complex. They're located in the same shopping center as Stater Bros. Plenty of parking is available. The drink was the best part. I'd come back just for that. I was a little nervous that the flavors wouldn't taste great together, but I'm glad I took the risk. It was so good! And it was topped with real cookies. Worth every penny. Now, for the breakfast burrito I ordered bacon. There were some pros and cons. Pros: Very generous portion, salsa was bomb (red is spicer than green), and I love that they use real cheese. I don't consider American cheese real since it's processed. The cheese pull was divine. Now my con is two fold. One is simply a personal preference. I prefer the bacon crispy. I'll just ask for it next time. But honestly, for the price ($11-$12) I expected more than 2-3 slices of bacon. There was no bacon until I got just over 1/3 of the way through the burrito. I'd still recommend giving them a try. I love supporting local businesses. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I let them know it was my first time and they were awesome and patient with me. Highly recommend giving them a try.

Over due Yelp review! The first time I tried San Fernando Coffee was in downtown Monrovia. Yummy! However, this is the one I mainly come to just because of distance. The one drink I always get (the only drink I get) is the Iced Valley Girl Latte. It has a generous amount of caramel drizzle around the cup. It's super good. Might have to make a trip there tomorrow! On two separate occasions, I also got their breakfast burrito. It was delicious! SUPER fresh. For a regular sized drink and the breakfast burrito I believe (memory is little foggy) I paid around $17. Definitely on the pricier side. The service is amazing. The employees as well as the manager (?) are very personable. I like that they offer a student discount. Its hard being a student! There have been a few times I thought about going back to school just so I could utilize the student discount here. (: Lastly, the general being of the store is clean. The straws are always stocked and there is always seating when I go. It's a bit chaotic when it starts to get really packed. But there are also times where it is quiet and peaceful and thats very comforting. See you soon San Fernando Coffee!

I was in Azusa on an errand and wanted to grab breakfast while also getting work done on my laptop. I was pleasantly surprised to find San Fernando Coffee. It seems like a popular spot with Azusa Pacific students. The cafe has breakfast burritos and crepes, lots of great espresso drink options. I was super happy they had soyrizo for my breakfast burrito! My horchata oat milk latte was perfect. There are plenty of seats and a great amount of outlets! Nice, quiet enough space, food, coffee, plugs, and a restroom. Easy lot-parking. Friendly staff who can take your order or you can order at a kiosk. What else can you ask for!

I tried San Fernando Coffee on recommendation from a friend who mentioned they feature "dirty coffee" drinks. Curious, I had to get in there and see what the deal was. I love the vibe! It's clean, straightforward, and not too noisy. You have a choice to order on the kiosk or with the cashier. I ordered on the kiosk for funzies. The menu was straightforward and easy to navigate. I ordered the dirty cherry which featured Dr. Pepper mixed with espresso and cherry cold foam. I will say -- it is not for the faint of heart!! If you have a lot to do and are on a time crunch, get this drink!! It took awhile for the caffeine buzz to wear off -- not a bad thing, for sure. Flavors were bold and intense - I would get it again. My daughter got the peach smoothie which she enjoyed. As I write this I am looking at their menu -- I have a hankering for something good! :)

i was excited to check this place out since its a local coffee, the service is impressive and the selection if the variety of the coffee! But was not impressed on the coffee that I purchased. The place looks clean and theres a lot of of parking in the vicinity.

It was only a 2 minute walk from where we were so we decided to check it out. On the outside was a holiday themed drink menu and the Butter Me Up sounded like something we'd enjoy. It was a cookie butter latte which whipped cookie butter and a cookie crumble on top. It may sound very sweet but it was actually perfectly balanced and allowed the strength of the espresso to come through. The barista was very kind and patient with us. She also let us know that they were hosting a karaoke night later that day. We waited in the patio connected to the cafe for our drinks. It was a very lovely day so the sun and scenery was nice and peaceful. Definitely looking forward to another visit

Today, my friend and I ordered a Coke and an ice water and sat in the lounge area to work on assignments. The café was far from full, with only a couple of other people in the lounge and plenty of open seating available. After about an hour, the owner came over and rudely told us we were "holding two tables over a Coke" and pressured us to order more. I understand businesses need customers to make purchases, but there is a respectful way to communicate that. What made the situation worse was that after I ordered a coffee, she immediately turned to my friend and basically stared him down with a strict look, clearly expecting him to order something too. I explained that we were going to split the coffee, because we're both trying to lose weight, but she continued making the situation uncomfortable. Staring down a customer and making them feel pressured to spend more money is not how you treat paying customers. What makes this even more frustrating is that the menu is already severely overpriced for what is offered. On multiple occasions, I've heard the microwave running while food was being prepared. Paying premium prices for what appears to be microwaved food is disappointing enough without being pressured to spend even more. Even though we only ordered a Coke initially, and have only done that once before, we were still spending money. As regular customers who come here often, you would think that would be appreciated rather than criticized. Be thankful people are still choosing to spend money at your business. Honestly, after today's experience, it's no wonder this place is often empty. Customer service and hospitality matter, and making customers feel unwelcome, guilty, or pressured to spend more is a great way to drive them away. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that I asked for my food to be packed to go and left. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. It's a cafe, not a 5 star restaurant. People want to come here to work on assignments or have a coffee and talk. Even though I didn't want to spend 9 dollars on a coffee, I still purchased something. Edit from her Google response: Now you guys see what type of owner she is by her response. Truly, truly a fake person, and we always spend money coming here (now she wants to lie and manipulate since I have her attention). I always purchase a coffee and more, and I have receipts to prove it. I do not use her WiFi for free, as I am not a rude person unlike her. I don't just order a soda like this owner claims; see my receipts on my credit card. My friend and I ordered drinks and were talking and doing assignments for about half an hour (while she and her waiter came up to us like 10 times to ask us to order, even though this is a cafe), even though we said we would order later. If you're broke, just say so, lady. Trust me, at this rate, this place will close down soon. Like I said, this is a cafe where people come to have a drink, relax, talk, study, or work on assignments; not a restaurant where customers are expected to order a full meal every time they sit down. We purchased drinks, planned to order more later, and were still repeatedly approached and pressured to order. Please do yourself a favor and stop lying to the public. I did not come here four times and just use the WiFi. I paid for the WiFi with my extremely expensive and disgusting coffee and food, which is shown below in the receipts. I did not buy $2 sodas every time. The receipts I attached are from my card, but on many of the other visits my friend paid with his card and spent just as much. So trying to claim that we were sitting here for free or only ordering a soda is simply not true. Now that I have proved you wrong in front of the public, I hope everyone sees you for who you are. You are a money-hungry liar! Lastly, you are right; you're not Starbucks. Starbucks would not treat customers that way, and I'd much rather spend my money at Starbucks anyway.Glad we're on the same page!

I've been meaning to try their crepes for the longest time and luckily, I finally found the chance to dine in. I ordered the La Opera breakfast crepe, which came filled with eggs, cheese, onions, and avocado. It had the perfect balance of textures and flavors, with the thin crispy edged crepe cradling the savory filling. The Pumpkin Pie Crepe tasted exactly like a pumpkin pie, as expected. However, it wasn't too sweet and had more of a real pumpkin flavor that pair very nicely with the pecans and caramel drizzle. The crepe was cooked perfectly and held together nicely with all the other ingredients. The portion size was large and could be shared between two people. It didn't exactly blow me away, but I appreciated the fact that it tasted like I was eating a pumpkin pie without the over sweetness. The Turkish Coffee was okay in my opinion, but it could be because I'm not used to it. Creamer and sugar packets are provided. (I especially appreciate how patient they were with my senior citizen parents, who can be a bit more hands on). We usually sit outside on the patio because we typically dine here with our husky after walking in nearby Central Park. I actually think it is one of the under-rated patios in Old Pasadena, as it is spacious, often shady, a bit secluded, and pretty quiet compared to Green Street and Colorado. It is also a great spot if you want to linger over a book or talk with your dining companions instead of constantly getting interrupted by waiters who want to turn the table over. I would not describe it as "upscale" though, so people who associate "French" with high-end may feel disappointed. Same for those who are into TikTok dining trends. This place is a bit old school and feels lived in and cozy. For us locals, it is a reliable spot at a reasonable price that consistently delivers.
