We've eaten at the San Pedro Cate for several years. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is fun. We love the duck nachos (really it's got duck meat on it with lemon aioli) and conch chowder . The conch chowder is way better here in Hudson WI than in places we've tried in the Caribbean! We would give this review 5 stars, except the San Pedro Cafe has changed their menu and taken off some yummy things like Mexican Street Corn. read more

Hi. Please order the conch and smoked corn chowder, and chocolate habanero torte. I've visited twice, on Sunday's, late mornings, and street parking was a breeze. Expect Caribbean themed, and crowded. It's a popular joint. I can understand as the atmosphere and menu give a fun vibe. The service is super, super friendly...but a little slow, as in forgot my soup order on my first trip, and didn't refill my coffee or water slow. I've tried a few items now. Let's start with the lobster and crab Benedict. You know when you cut into your poached egg and get ready for the sunny golden stream that oozes out? Yeah, didn't happen. My egg yolks were hard, the server brought me new poached eggs. The flavor of the dish was good, but the new eggs weren't drizzled in hollandaise and the lobster was overcooked. Conch and smoked corn chowder. Amazing. The soup was piping hot, conch was tender, hearty potato chunks, and the roasted tomatoes on top gave it another dimension. Insanely good. Aruba pizza came with Alfredo sauce, and marinated lobster and shrimp. The crust is prefect, crispy and chewy. Loved the crust, but the lobster and shrimp where overcooked, dry and tough. It made me sad. Burrito special with poblano sauce, the pork inside was moist and exploded with flavor. The poblano sauce on top overwhelmed the whole dish with sourness though. Chocolate habanero torte is my new addiction. The heat creeps up on you, but the chocolate syrup and whipped cream soothes the tongue. I begged for the recipe. They said no. I really want to love this place so I'll make a couple more trips back, but I'll avoid anything with lobster. read more

The lemon habanero aioli is unbelievable. So good. The ginger stir fry is fantastic. Add jerk chicken to it. Service is always good. There is a wait list you can join on their website letting you know when your table is ready. Nice patio as well. read more

I thought the menu would be a little different than what I expected, but we tried it anyway. Ordered the chips and salsa to start out. While the chips were good and the salsa ok; it was not worth it for $10.00. Chips were not made there. We got to choose from 4 or 5 salsas; ended up choosing the pico de gallo which was good and the pineapple roasted salsa which was ok. Neither of them blew us away. I ordered the "Aruba" wood fired thin crust pizza. It had tiny little tiger shrimp and lobster, spicy peppers and alfredo. I was told it was spicy, but I think it meant more of a WI spicy. J ordered the Jerk Rubbed Chicken. While the chicken was good in size, we both thought it would be a little more flavorful. The wood fired vegetables that came with it looked good. The rice I tried, and didn't care for. It had somewhat of a nutmeg taste to it, and I usually love all rices. It also came with a small salad and some bread to start out with. Our server was friendly and outgoing. The restaurant is cute and honestly, not something I would expect to see in Hudson, WI. J said it reminded him a lot of restaurants in Seattle. The interior was quaint and welcoming with the booths and two toppers spread out. Would we return? Perhaps if in the area, but probably wouldn't make a special trip as nothing we tried really stood out that much. read more

Great selection of Caribbean style foods including wonderful pizzas! The duck nachos are awesome! Lotsa spicy food selections which for me I love. I love checking out the daily bReakfast special on the weekends, and the weekly feature usually gets posted to their Facebook page. Used Yelp to find s good spot for lunch in Hudson. We sat at the chefs counter (there were 4 seats exactly in front of where the sous chef was busy preparing food). It was a cold day and the heat from the cooking area (wood fire oven) was welcoming. We ordered shrimp street tacos and the lunch special (jerk chicken enchilada). Glorious. I can't say enough about the meals. We spent our time waiting watching the executive chef and sous chef masterfully prepare and execute a broad menu. I can't wait to return. read more

Absolutely delicious! The pizzas are great, the staff is great, I know someone that works there too, the drinks are great to. Lovely place to go with your family and friends. Though mostly it takes a little while for food to come! They have wonderful desserts too! You can sit outside, or inside. Only service animals are allowed though. You can also order ahead and pick your food up and bring it home. They have boxes if you don't finish your food and everyone there is very caring, I've never really had a bad experience I can remember! Definitely recommend to go to with your family! San Pedro Cafe is one of my favorite spots in Hudson. Generally the patio is quiet and quaint. Visiting restaurants post-COVID has given new appreciation for good food and service. Dined on the patio tonight and service was very slow but they seemed to have a ton of takeout orders. 5 drinks, 2 apps and 2 entrees later - for $100 - pretty stellar. Apps - get corn and scallops, I like chips and salsa. Entrees - enchiladas are bomb and linguine Del Mar is a must order for us. Tacos, quesadilla and grouper are also great choices. OhhhhMaGod! The food here is absolutely phenomenal in flavor!!! BEST. FOOD. I'VE. HAD. IN. A. LONG. TIME!!!! I would be so fat if I lived down the block from this place! My daughter and I stopped her "for dessert" on our way back home from the area. But they had "small plates" so after ogling the small menu, we figured it would be safe to add on a little snack too- ya know-since it's small plates! My mouth is in heaven. I turned down water or any other drinks just because I didn't want to loose this euphoric bliss tango that dancing in my mouth. Holy F*%#!! Our waitress was absolutely darling and perfectly attentive to boot! Great at making recommendations, super sweet with a smile. I started with the Strange Brew on the drink menu. It was ok. The alcohol content and flavor was a bit low. It was easy to such down. They made a virgin Mojito for my teenager- she gave it 4 Stars. Emm went for the Empanadas. We both give those little pillows of goodness 5 Stars. It came out with two sauce choices. Both were packed with flavor but low heat (perfect for my wimpy tongue). I really wanted to swipe those two little bottles of sauce and take them home-dang that I switched to tiny clutch for a purse! (Next time. Next time...) I narrows my "snack" choice down to the Grilled Ahi Cheviche. Again- phenomenal flavor! I can't even pinpoint what it was that made it taste so damn good but it was amazing! Oh- desert- what we came for in the first place... I went with the banana butterscotch pot de Creme. Phenomenal! Delicious! It was sweet but not overly sweet. It came fresh banana slices, house made whip cream and springs of fresh herbal green leaves (thyme maybe??) Emm selected the Burnt Orange & Chocolate cakes. Beautifully presented with its house made...everything. Orange Carmel sauce to the side of the super rich, dense chocolate cake, whipped cream with those lovely little green herbs that gave it a unique, fresh twist. This tiny thing was more like a massive truffle in richness. Splitting it with 3-4 people is ideal in our opinion. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. This place is award winning kind of food...and I'm pretty selective! One last note- if Perkins or your standard American Food kind of restaurant is your norm- you probably wouldn't appreciate this place. If your a snobby, gourmet foodie...you won't want to leave this place!! read more

We had a horrible evening at Lolo's and headed over to San Pedro. They were so kind and accommodating. We waited at the bar and enjoyed some out of this world drinks before being seated and set up with the best waitress ever- Diane. We've wanted to come try them out forever and tonight was the perfect night. Diane was hilarious and fun & gave the BEST recommendations. The short ribs were divine, best sauce ever. We also had fantastic carne asada tacos and another friend loved his salmon. Their salsas were all phenomenal and we will certainly be back. Hoping fate will have it that Diana is our waitress again in the future. read more

First time visit; glad we went on a Wednesday because we got seated right away and that's probably very unusual. Sig had the pork stew, which I tasted and it was delish. I had the Cuban meat loaf and while it wasn't my fav, the banana mashed potatoes, yes, you read that right, were outstanding. Nice salad beforehand too. Sierra, our server was top notch and the ambiance and vibe in the place means it will be a regular watering hole, busy wait times or not. Parking in Hudson will be the biggest challenge but I'd walk quite a ways for those banana mashed tots. read more

This place came highly recommended from a local that I met at another restaurant earlier in the day. San Pedro did not disappoint. Fun little island vibe, small bar with a handful of booths on the other side and a few tables. Cozy but not cramped. My waitress was friendly, made some great recommendations and made sure that I was taken care of from start to finish. She also clued me in on the happy hour drink prices. The food! This place lived up to the recommendation for me. I had a delicious spicy shrimp entree, heavy on the spice and flavor for days. Followed that up with the green curry Red Snapper, which was a large portion of breaded snapper which was excellent if a touch overdone, with some excellent vegetables and rice with a delicious, rich green curry sauce.
