The iced pistachio latte was sweet (perfect for me). The pistachio coffee was not as sweet. I went for round two and asked for a recommendation and ordered the iced biscoff latte. It was also satisfying. We arrived in the middle of Egypt playing Australia in the World Cup and the place was electric with Egyptian fans - and Egypt pulled out the victory in the penalty shootout. Definitely exciting. The owner was passing around free fruity smoothies to everyone - and it was delicious. I will be going back to try the specialty coffees like the Iced Sana'a Latte, the Iced Yemeni Latte, the White Mocha Latte and snacks. Parking: Free with plenty of spaces in the shopping complex. Sana'a Café pays tribute to Yemen's rich coffee heritage, as Yemen is widely regarded as the birthplace of coffee cultivation and brewing. More than just a coffee shop, it offers a chance to experience Yemeni culture through its drinks, food, décor, and atmosphere. Ambience: Beautiful Middle Eastern décor with gold-and-black furniture, chandeliers, and traditional music playing in the background. The ordering process is efficient: order and pay at the counter, take the buzzer, pick up your food when it's ready, and return your cups and plates to the designated station when you're done. There's also a small private room in the back that can be reserved for larger groups. Another plus: they're open late: until 11 PM on weekdays and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. What I'd recommend: * Drinks: Adani chai and Turkish coffee if you enjoy authentic, spice-forward flavors. * Dessert: Baklava (tiny, super sweet), Biscoff milkcake (much sweeter) or pistachio milkcake. * Savory: Chicken Musakhan and Chicken Fatayer. When they first opened I was a fan and saw myself coming back often but recently I've been disappointed. I love desserts so I always get something from the case but the flavor has continuously gotten that old fridge stale flavor infused into the dessert. It might depend on what you get and what flavors because I've had the biscoff flavor milk cake which was stronger in flavor so it might have masked that stale taste but I had the kunafa which was terrible because it absorbed so much of the fridge flavor I had to toss it out. I love the variety the case always has but it might be messing up how some products sit and taste. The drinks however haven't disappointed. But as a coffee snob my favorite coffee is the a light roast Yemen Mocha beans but they didn't have any. The staff were wonderful patient, kind, knowledgeable, radiating warmth and pride in the establishment. They do have a plethora of milk alternatives Coconut, Oat, Almond... Though for vegan food they only had the potato fatayer. I ordered the SANA'A LATTE and you can choose the level of sweetness. I got the lowest amount as I'm not big on sugar. I also got the potato fatayer. The surley teen (my kid) got the spinach feta and potato fatayer. No sauces given nor needed these were delish! Perfect balance of flavors and like a baked samosa or turnover (the non-flakey dough variety) The edges were crisp, the middle with stuffing was moist, not soggy, exquisite baking perfection! They don't make their offerings in-house but wow did they do their research on sourcing quality goods from local bakers, and premium ingredients! I had this coffee lounge saved in my IG as a place to visit. And finally had a chance to stop in. Loved the decor probably because there was so much gold. Lol. The smell of coffee resonated. They also had on display pastries and desserts. So I decided to try the cheesecake and after talking with owner, he kindly wanted me to try the coffee cake. Flavor is a little different from what I'm used to to but I'd be interested in knowing the ingredients they may use. I also ordered a caramel macchiato. Which has been my go-to coffee for awhile now at other places. But Sana's coffee is so good. The coffee was smooth, no bitter taste. We ordered the Sana'a latte, Biscoff milk cake, Dubai chocolate milk cake, coffee cake, and kataifi. The Sana'a latte was enjoyable, though I'm not much of a coffee enthusiast, so I can't speak too much on how it compares to other coffee drinks. The kataifi was by far the sweetest item we tried and ended up being our least favorite. It was quite hard, and while the person at the counter mentioned that it was almost the same as kunafeh, we didn't find that to be the case. I can see the inspiration behind it, but the texture and overall experience were pretty different. As for the milk cakes, they all share a very similar base flavor. The main difference comes from the toppings rather than the cake itself. The Biscoff and Dubai chocolate milk cakes were both excellent and probably the best items we ordered. I've been waiting to try Yemeni coffee in Elk Grove since my friends rave about the Sacramento location. The service is so hospitable and the woman at the counter was patient work my questions. It is truly beautiful inside . Gold and black accents. It is truly a community space. I'd say this not a place for studying but for meeting friends and family. The coffee was delicious. They have many locations across the Bay Area and Sacramento, this one is located in Elk Grove. The menu included authentic, traditional Yemeni coffee and chai, also a variety of pastries from across the Middle East. We found a nice section in the back of the shop that was semi private from the main dining area. I'd say the area could hold around 10 to a dozen people comfortably maybe. There were 7 in our party. Place order at the counter and guests will be given buzzers when order(s) are ready for pickup. Individual orders were placed for coffee and chai tea but it was the desserts that caught my eye: Nutella Milkcake, Honeycomb, and Chicken Musakhan. We had a party of seven and Sana'a Cafe Elk Grove very accommodating. We were in the niche in the corner and still had room for five more people. I stuck with my traditional Turkish coffee which was delicious. I share my Turkish coffee and got someone else hooked on it. I also got the honeycomb bread. Balance flavors of a cream type cheese inside and honey drizzled over the bread... this is one to get, you won't be disappointed. Crowd has died down but the place is still busy. Inside looks clean and has very nice decor with ample seating inside and out. Service was good and the drinks / food came out quickly. We got the Carmel macchiato, strawberry matcha and a Dubai cheesecake. The Carmel macchiato latte is great, just the right amount of sweetness and coffee. Wasn't watered down and had perfect amount of ice to where it wasn't just ice with little of the drink. The strawberry matcha was disappointing, you can taste the matcha but that's where it ends. No hint of strawberry, it wasn't sweet, and honestly just tasted like matcha on top of milk. The Dubai cheesecake was okay, sweet and a hint of spice that I'm not too keen of. This was my first time trying this place, and my first thought when I walked in there was how beautifully decorated the cafe was. There are many tables that you are able to sit at and there is also much to look at. The service was great. They made her drinks fast and the cashier was very kind. Finally a coffee shop that stays open past 4pm! This place is insane and I mean it in the best way possible. I ordered a pistacchio Latte and WOW. It was incredible it was perfectly sweet and balanced and the coffee itself tasted amazing. Youre really getting a quality craft coffee here. I've been to the Downtown Sac location, and this one in Elk Grove is pretty much a duplicate; I believe they must be a franchise since the interior is the same as the other location in Sac. Although they opened fairly recently, they are getting a TON of business. Even though it was the afternoon, all tables were occupied and the line order was to the door. I tried the Yemeni Latte. They ask what sweetness you want and I opted to try medium, which didn't taste sweet in my opinion. I think the drinks are decent, as well as the service. This is easily one of the best coffee shops in the Elk Grove area. Their prices are reasonable, and the coffee always tastes amazing. My go-to drinks are usually the Vanilla Latte or the Iced Mocha. I've been coming here weekly for a few months now to study and work on projects. No matter what time you visit, this place is always packed. The only time it might be a little quieter is early in the morning, but every time I walk in, it's jammed. You'll see a mix of everyone: people working solo on laptops, friends and family hanging out, and study groups. The layout is really well thought out. When you walk in, there are luxurious, comfortable couches with throw pillows on the left, complete with outlets behind them, making it easy to settle in all day. On the far right, there's a long counter with high chairs along the wall, and the middle section has tables that seat two to four people. They also have a large table in the back for bigger groups, which is softly partitioned off with a divider. On top of that, the bathrooms are always clean and completely odorless, and the lighting throughout the shop is great. There is also an outdoor patio where people can chill, and I kid you not, outside is always packed too! It's clear I'm not the only one who loves it here. To top it all off, the location is incredibly convenient. It's right off Highway 99, so you don't have to drive deep into residential streets to find it, and it's surrounded by plenty of other stores and restaurants. read more

Me and my family enjoy this place on a weekly basis. I prefer the pastries, but have had both the drinks and pastries on several occasions. I was so excited to try this place out!! it was Presidents' Day and it was absolutely packed. Unfortunately there was no place for me to sit so I had to get my coffee to go. The place was very cute and the service was good. It took about 15 minutes for them to make my order so don't go if you're in a rush, but to be fair they were very busy and apologized for the wait. I ordered the rose latte, caramel macchiato, and a baklava. The pricing was fair the caramel macchiato with standard unfortunately, the rose latte just tasted like a regular latte. There was no real flavor, but the actual coffee flavor was strong and delicious. I was just really hoping for some type of flavor in the rose latte or even sprinkled with some edible flowers would've been adorable, but you could tell the coffee was quality. This coffee shop is such a great addition to Elk Grove! I've been here once, but I've had friends go and they've mostly told me that it is pretty crowded. At the time we went, there were a lot of people, but we did find seating ok. There are so many drink options, as well as dessert options. We opted for a medium sized pot of chai. We also go the chai a little less sweet which was perfect. Sharing the medium sized pot gave us plenty to drink between two people (they advertised to us that it serves 4-5 people, and it really depends on how much you're planning to drink). The cool part of the teapot experience is that it comes on a tray with little teacups, and a teapot stand with a tea candle to keep your tea warm. The chai was very creamy; it seemed like they either used condensed milk or evaporated milk. There was another time my partner purchased their pistachio milk cake and it is something I dream about a lot. It reminds me of tres leches but with pistachio flavor and bits of pistachio. I didn't get any this time because I need to watch my diet! Their wi-fi password is pretty funny, but so true. We got seating on the periphery and you can adjust the cushions to mark your seat boundaries. There's outlets available. Service was pretty friendly. The thing they could work on is their tray return/trash area, since our teapot tray was pretty large and there were a lot of cups and dishes already. We were worried about stacking more on. Guess they were pretty busy and weren't able to attend to it as quickly. They have two bathrooms available. They also have a seating area that can accommodate large parties. I love this place, I always come when I want a sweet or savory snack. There was a time when I came in and didn't know what drink to order and one of the workers, Amal, recommended me a drink, it was sooo good that I have to get it every-time i go now.
