I purchased a brand new wrx about 3 years ago from here and had many problems do not buy a wrx or sti I will never buy a Subaru ever again and will make sure family and friends know this so about 43,000 miles my clutch decides to go out supposedly the ball bearing so I had to replace the clutch that was the first problem then about right after the clutch I had turbo lag problems couldn't even go up the grapevine without a mini van beating me ya in my wrx smh it would lag many times told the dealer and they said it was fine then it had a recall for emmisons they did the recall and got it back and my car lasted two weeks after the recall work they did then bam my turbo was lagging even worse and it was making a noise they fixed it for the noise but then at 78000 miles they said my turbo was to the lowest point ya lemon car for sure. They charged me for a Diagnostics which was 139 then they said they didn't find anything but said when the tech drove the car it was sluggish so they said let's do a compression test and it was the lowest point I been having this problem for about two years little by litttle now it's bad and they said I need a engine tear down just two tear down the engine was 2200 which they said might be the rings so I picked it up and traded this super lagging turbo car for a 2020 Supra gr and I love the Toyota supra I will never buy a Subaru. I have had the pleasure of working with Sangera Subaru for a little while now. To tell the story in whole I have to go back about two years. I was in the market to purchase a car. I was looking for a manual sporty coupe or convertible. Naturally I looked at the BRZ. I stopped by with a buddy and was greeted by Max Pierce. He was very courteous, professional, and pleasant in every possible way. He didn't hesitate to help me answer all my questions regarding the car. He allowed us to test drive (an extended one) the car of our choice for as long as we needed. After the visit he followed up with emails and calls but not to a point it became overburdening. I ended up going with a different car at that time. Fast forward about 12 months and we were in the market for a car for the wife. We were looking for a family car and outback was one of our candidates. We stopped by and saw one on the lot with all the bells and whistles. Max was working that day and once he saw us he approached us. To my surprise he recognized me from over a year ago. He gave us test drives and spent a good amount of time with us. We negotiated over the price and gave us a very competitive pricing for a car that was in high demand (couldn't locate one that we liked in the 150mile vicinity, in fact most dealers said I'd have to order one and wait 8-12weeks). During the entire process he was professional and easy to work with in every facet of the transaction. 3 months later I decided to change my car from a two seater to a sedan due to new baby. I love manual transmission cars and naturally I gravitated toward WRX or the STI. Now these are very popular cars and I couldn't find one anywhere with the color/option combo. I received plenty of attention and opportunities to test drive cars I needed/wanted. Max never pressured me and once I decided to purchase Max got me a very competitive deal (compared to many dealers I approached). He placed the order promptly (that same day) and through the waiting process he kept in touch and did not hesitate to update me on the status of the order to the best of his knowledge. I made some specific requests to the car and he made sure that the requests were fulfilled. Just picked up my car from the service department. Dropped off my car for a rattle noise, oil change, and tire rotation. The car they tried to give us for a loaner was filthy! I told them what I suspected the rattle was and they didn't even check that. Called me to pick up the car and it still had a rattle. Left it there AGAIN and sure enough it ended up being the problem I suspected. Got my car home and the tires had not been rotated as stated on my receipt. This is the second time I've taken it there and they claimed they rotated the tires BUT DID NOT. We love the sales department but not impressed with the service department unfortunately. read more

Being from Pennsylvania and having lived in an RV for a few years as we toured the states, we were looking for a dealership who would work with us on a trade in of our Dually pick-up and 5th wheel RV. We had been searching for a few months but when we walked into Sangera Subaru they were finally able to meet our needs. Not only did they give us top dollar in trade-in value on the truck, but they more than exceeded our expectations on trade-in value with the RV, as well! We decided to go with a 2019 Forester Sport and they even hooked us up on the cost of warranty and additional service package. Sangera has got to be the worst dealership I have ever dealt with on MULTIPLE accounts. I will never return there. This is the first place I have ever filled out paper work, ran my credit, drove the car and THEN decided not to buy from them. It's not the cars it's the service. Absolutely terrible sales manager. They refuse to work with you, but man do they make it look like they are. If you want a cheaper payment they'll give you a lower payment but they're taking that money right off of your trade in. After scouring So Cal for a used Subaru Outback or Forester for weeks, dreading the driving all over LA, I decided to look more carefully closer to home. It was the best decision I made! Right here, in our Bakersfield back yard is a gem of an auto "dealership", Sangera Subaru (and Mercedes). I called to inquire about a Forester that was a bit out of my price point but spoke with Bianca, who was courteous and helpful. She carefully handed me off to Brandon Row who was extremely punctual and followed up at every turn. Brandon is the most chill, cool dude ever--not a pushy bone in his body but just a very genuine good human being. No gimicky dealership tactics--just straight up honest willing to meet me at a place we both felt comfortable. The entire process was organized, communication was top notch, and the team work was spot on. It was an absolute enjoyable experience and I have NEVER said that about buying a car! I felt very good vibes at Sangera Bakersfield. The atmosphere is laid back but believe me, things get done very efficiently and expediently. I completed my paperwork with P.J. who btw is a hoot! She is so skilled at her craft. She explained all the paperwork and made suggestions which I heeded because you can tell this girl is genuine and knows her stuff. Amazing service! These guys went above and beyond with my service needs. I had a cat die on top of the transmission (no joke) of our brand new Subie. We relocated from southern California to a small town east of Bakersfield, and looked up Sangera to address recall service and some routine maintenance on our certified pre-owned 2016 Subaru Forester. The thing that impressed me right at the beginning was the number of women working in the service department. I've had great experiences with all-female teams in other businesses, so I was excited. Our representative was Alice and she did an exceptional job in meeting our needs. She was able to work out a repair that would've otherwise not been covered under warranty - we certainly appreciate her taking the initiative to do that. We were allowed a loaner which made getting to mandatory appointments that much easier. We were very comfortable and treated well, and the service was done expeditiously. The car is running great, and we are very pleased with our experience. We've had good service in the past from other Subaru dealers (this is now my 2nd Subaru, I am a huge supporter of the brand. I kept my first Subie for 10 years and it still ran great at 260,000 miles). I walked into this establishment almost a month ago, on the 15th of March at about 1:40 pm, with the goal to purchase a new car but unfortunately had to walk right out. It was very obvious that the young lady at the front desk, she was in all black and had a very long ponytail, was under the influence of some kind of drugs. Her eyes were very low and red and her speech was a bit slurred when she answered an incoming call. Extremely unprofessional and not a place I'd like to spend my hard earned money at so I walked out and went elsewhere to purchase. Liar's, cheats, and thieves. My wife just brought the car back into the shop to complete its second oil consumption test. They rigged the first test by overfilling the engine with oil. At the start of the second test, I personally checked the level to make sure that they had not overfilled it again ( they had not), and rechecked the level again midway through the 1200 mile cycle, it had burned approximately 1 quart at this time. When the Sangera called to tell my wife the vehicle was ready, they claimed that the oil level registered full, and that no problem was found. I guess it's really easy to avoid having to deal with customers problems, when all it takes is adding a little oil here and there. Having to deal with both Subaru of America and Sangera has been a gigantic hassle. Avoid having anything to do with the service department at this dealership. read more
