Lunch was tasty but service was lacking. My husband and I stopped here before our flight took off. There were three people working behind the bar, with the restaurant and bar at 1/2 the seating capacity. My husband and I sat while they waited on people around us and wouldn't even acknowledge us. Finally my husband got the attention of one of the staff members who took our order. They brought out my chipotle burger. I was almost done eating it when my husband asked where his food was. I was in there this morning and had this amazing bartender make my whole day!!!! Of course I had to get her name I believe she said it was Tina don't quote me on that but I'm pretty positive that's what she said. To be honest I wasn't in the best of moods prior to going in which is why I needed a drink or 2 but after meeting her and talking to her for a while she definitely turned my frown upside down! Great smile, great conversation, excellent service all around I wish I had that experience more often when going in to have drinks. The food wasn't that bad. A pretty average tasting burger. Wasn't exceptional or awful by any means. The kicker was the lady at the take-out service kiosk. She said to pick up the burger in 16 minutes. I came back literally 16 minutes later, and she was angry that she was standing there waiting with my burger. Isn't that her job?!? What an unexpected surprise. Looking at the reviews, I think some people ate somewhere else because we loved it here. We had the vodka mule and the san tan juicy jack beer to start. Our server, Joanne, who was absolutely wonderful, suggested these drinks and they were very tasty. We shared the pretzel which was 2 huge pretzels with 2 different sauces and then I had the cobb, which was really great. Friend had the club sandwich and really enjoyed it as well. There wasnt enough time for dessert so we didnt try it. Extremely fair pricing (especially for an airport), fantastic service and awesome food. What more could you ask for?? Check it out. read more

We sat down and literally received no service, not even water. Another table that sat down right after us received their food by the time we gave up and left. Two wait staff were working the area. Neither one of them would even make eye contact with us. Had a conversation with the manager. Who appeared not to care but then he did track us down in the restaurant we walked to in the same terminal to offer us free lunch next time. We're in an airport. Best airport eatery bar none. Great beer, local distilled spirits and food. I travel a lot and often times put up the sewage you get as a captive audience in an airport. SanTan is refreshingly excellent. The staff is fantastic and appears to actually take pride in their food and drink. This place would be 5 stars even if they weren't in terminal 3 at PHX. Well done and hats off to their management. This is a great place, I just wish I traveled to Phoenix more often. read more

I came to San Tan brewery at Sky Harbor in terminal 3. Hostess immediately greeted me with a smile. I asked if I could sit at the bar, and she said yes, and to sit anywhere as host over there just cleared some spots. I sat down, reviewed menu quickly, and picked out what I wanted and looked up and made multiple eye contacts with bartender. He did not give me friendly glance and was walking around. After a few minutes I decided to start timing the wait as I didn't want to wait to long. In the 5 extra minutes I waited with no acknowledgement, the entire bar area can hear him complaining that he's supposed to be in Florida right now. He seemed unhappy to be working, made no eye contact with anyone, and was obvious I was a burden for him. I clocked timer at 10 total minutes of no acknowledgment from bartender even after I made it clear I would appreciate service with hand gestures when he looked at me. i decided to leave. This was not a fun trip for me, picking up my fathers ashes and really needed a friendly face. Looking around, most staff were not smiling. It's unfortunate. read more

There was a line to get it but it was very quick. The restaurant was not very clean. There was trash on the floors and although I watched my table being wiped down there was still residue left behind from the previous guest. I realize that with Covid not all tables can be sat but all open tables were dirty and weren't being touched until they were having a guest seated at them. I also waited forever to be served because it was never explained to be by the host I had to order on my phone. Not just look at the menu. The online option to order is pretty cool but when I placed my order they were out of beer the beer I chose so it wasn't very accurate. I would say go to another place but unfortunately there aren't many other options at this terminal. I didn't have their food so I can't comment on that. However, there was a guy seated in front of me who had to ask for his food order since wit was taking awhile and had to ask multiple times for condiments. read more

I was one of the 3 people completely ignored (see Dave S comment) the only time the bartender acknowledged us was when they dropped off my drink. The gentleman next to me ordered a "salad kit" and I just ordered a side of fries. When our food was brought, I asked for ranch and the other guy asked for utensils. We were told to ask our bartender for items, after 5minutes of attempting to get the bartenders (please note there were 2) attention, the guy who dropped our food off walked back around and was very annoyed we asked for utensils and ranch again. He brought the utensils and continued to ignore me. I finally flagged down another guy talking to a server to get me ranch, my fries were then cold. I sat there for 45 minutes and spoke to the bartender one time when she dropped off my drink. At one point she was standing right in front of me and kept her head down as not to make eye contact with us. Kinda upset that I paid ahead of time because I auto tipped 20%. I've been in the service industry awhile and this is the first time I've been somewhere that the service was so bad I didn't want to tip. Train your staff, cause they don't know how to do their jobs. Also watched 3 different people get up and leave because they were never even greeted after being sat. read more

Imagine trying to place an order from the takeout window during airport lunch rush hour only to be told that hot food can only be sold from the restaurant area. Then imagine waiting for another 10 minutes trying to flag down a bartender to place my takeout order only to be told that wings and French fries had to be purchased for dine in only. Two weeks ago I didn't have any issue trying to complete the exact same purchase. What is going on here? Especially in an airport environment where you think you would be a little more accommodating to travelers needs? Open style seating makes it not feel crowded which is good. The chicken tacos are small and don't really fill you up so I don't suggest those and if you're going to call them street tacos they need to be made of corn. Not flour. But the burgers are done decently with steak fries double fried for crispness. The wine selection isn't very good so over all I'd rate this place 2 stars BUT the waitress Tina with her cheery disposition and genuine smile saved the day.
